  • Loved this house!

"If you are looking for a peaceful, secluded, and immaculate vacation home with amazing ocean views, then look no further! We have stayed at many villas throughout the Caribbean, and Grapetree Escape is one of our favorites. The house design is well planned, nice open-concept, yet the bedrooms are very private with separate entrances and bathrooms. Better than the pictures depict. Although it was just two of us, this home is perfect for three couples or a large family – plenty of space. Our favorite features included the bump out on the deck for breakfast and late day cocktails/dinner, the extensive wrap around deck, and the covered outdoor patio by the pool - perfect mix of shade and sun throughout the day. The pool was the best - morning and evening swims between daily excursions. Gourmet kitchen was also a big plus since we love to cook. A few restaurants are within a quick car ride (highly recommend Cheese Burgers in America’s Paradise – we had Mahi & Snapper sandwiches and drank Pain Killers). Christenstead is a 15 minute drive and has great restaurants; we had an amazing dinner at 40 Strand Eatery. Lots of great beaches within a few miles, Knights Bay is a 10-15 minute walk from the villa and we had the entire beach to ourselves – nice snorkeling around the small pier. Must do: Point Udall (very close, 10 minutes by car): hike down to Issac/Jack Bays – unbelievable beaches with little or no people. Many thanks to owner Michael and villa manager Pam, both extremely helpful and hospitable. I have never had such a positive experience with renting a vacation home – top notch service. Last but not least: Mommacat was our pet away from home, always looked forward to her daily visits, we really miss her!! You will not be disappointed with Grapetree Escape Villa, a very special place!"

  • Beautiful spaciousness villa with a glorious View

"The Villa does not disappoint. The pictures online are accurate and the view is spectacular. We were seven guests in a five bedroom villa and we all had comfortable accommodations. The terrace is the best part of the Villa and we spent a lot of time there. The pool is not very big but plenty of room to frolic and have fun. I would say the Villa would be very comfortable for 10 guests and plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen is large and well-equipped with good appliances and plenty of counterspace. The bar is fabulous it's long and can probably 10 people comfortably. It is very well-equipped with 2 wine refrigerators, an ice maker, garbage disposal, and two other refrigerators for a beer, water and other soft drinks. Sitting at the bar you still have access to the view outside and it's a great party area."

  • Great place!

"Well worth it on all levels! Beautiful home with all the amenities, especially having morning coffee on the back deck watching the rainbows go by-- its surreal for sure. Plenty of kitchen supplies and ample dining space inside and out. The constant breeze through the house was amazing! I have nothing bad to say about it, absolutely perfect. Give it a chance! You wont be disappointed."

  • Fabulous Private Caribbean Get Away!

"We had no idea what to expect when my husband booked our stay earlier this year. When we arrived, Christie was right there waiting for us as soon as we were off the plane. She allowed me to ride with her as my family followed behind. This allowed me to get some great notes about the island as we drive around and it gave me great reference points. She showed us around our Villa and went over the map with us. We have 2 children, 11 and 14 years old. They absolutely loved the pool and the wifi. We truly felt we had a private palace with unbelievable views of the Caribbean and Smugglers Bay. It seemed most beaches around us were quiet and delightful! Points of interest: Point Udall, just to the east is the most eastern point of the US. Just a couple of minutes drive. Go to the south and in a blink you're on the south end! Go back towards Christiansted you see Blue Waters restaurant and Ziggy's. Blue Water is where we had Christmas Dinner. It was pricey but excellent food. We were glad they were open! Ziggy's is a riot! It's the best outdoor bar with fuel and a convenience store. We made multiple trips there. And Aaron, the chef, sometimes will make special meals just outside. It was delicious! We also enjoyed Cheeseburger in Paradise. It doesn't look like much, but it IS! Casual dining and yummy burgers and clam chowder. We went into Christiansted several times. We did Big Beards snorkeling trip to Buck Island. What a blast and what great guides. They really made my kids feel comfortable snorkeling in some rougher water. This opportunity is unbelievable! Be sure you do this even if you've never snorkeled before. They make it so easy to do! We are at Angry Nates and Schupes here. One day we called up Jennifer at Cruzan Cowgirls. She is a wonderful woman. Her horse trail ride is done with rescued horses who are very easy to ride. We met just north of Fredriksted at Rhythms Restaurant on Rainbow Beach. This was so much fun. We rode down the beach, into the jungle and finished up riding in the water! We wore shorts and most of the time I held my flip flops and rode barefoot. Jennifer is very knowledgeable and shares much detail along the ride. Last of all, we did go see the Odoule's drinking pigs at Dominoes. The ride was slow going with all the potholes. But it is a wonderful to see. This place is out in the middle of no where! $2 for a can of Odoule's to feed the pigs and $1 per person. Thank you Chris and Christie! We will be back."
