  • Excellent visit!

"Stayed in this condo for a week in May. Outstanding location and extremely safe. My wife walked to town while I went scuba diving. Convenient to downtown and has a great bar/restaurant right around the corner. All the conveniences for a marvelous vacation. Nicely furnished and all appliances worked! Owner was highly responsive to inquiries. Great pool! The description of the condo provided was accurate and helpful. Have been to St. Croix several times. This was the best for the price. Highly recommended and will rent again whenever I return."

  • Fantastic Place

"My over-riding impression upon arriving at Sugar Bay House is that it is in a perfect spot, with a magnificent view all around it and that the accommodations are really relaxing and comfortable. So let's deconstruct that sentence. Firstly - The perfect spot. Sugar Bay House is situated on the top of a small hill overlooking Salt River Bay on the North Shore. We drove around this wonderful island and we thought that the Salt River area was the most interesting, beautiful and quiet place upon the island. There are a few houses nearby, so it's quiet. The Salt River area, has an interesting little Marina, through which I walked nearly every day. There are interesting boats and people there and I ended up getting to know of few of them a little. Its an easy walk down the hill from the house to the little beach or Marina, but a little more effort is needed to get back up again, but it's worth it. The nearby beach was good for swimming and lazing. Everywhere you look around the house from the terrace and during the walk down to the beach is full of colorful flowers growing on bushes everywhere. It's really easy to get around St. Croix to visit all the great beaches which are never far away. Most had a beach bar on them, white sand and clear turquoise water. Some of the roads on the island are a little rough though, so you might want to rent an SUV. We didn't, we had a small fiesta which was fine but sometimes not quite fit for purpose, especially around the rain forest. So now to the second point - the view. I spent so much time sitting on a bench under a covered table at the corner of the deck just looking at the view; it's stunning and it's interesting. I watched the boats coming to and fro and even 2 getting wrecked in a squall one weekend. You can see for miles in many directions. Sea planes flew over head, birds dropped by for a chat and even an iguana dropped by to bury some of her eggs. I was there everyday for many hours, during the mornings, days and especially at night - all right I couldn't see much then , but still loved it. There was always a gentle breeze blowing by, that was cooling on a hot day, but never cold.I think it's sitting at that table that I miss most as I look back to those heavenly two weeks there. The Pool was great and actually deep enough to dive in and long enough to swim lengths. Now the third point - the comfortable house. To be honest, I wasn't in the house too much but when I was, I was asleep in a comfortable bed with all th"

  • Vacation in Paradise

"This was absolutely the most awesome vacation I had ever taken. The accommodations were incredible. So clean, convenient location and a beautiful view of the ocean. It was great to wake up every morning and have coffee, sit on the patio and listen to the ocean. We enjoyed the pool during the day, walked along the beaches and enjoy the sea breezes. At the condo they left many great ideas for fun things to do . We went on a sailboat ride to Buck Island with Big Beard Adventures. The crew was awesome and they took such good care of us. We snorkeled and they BBQ'd for us. It was awesome! We checked out the Domino Club and saw the beer drinking pigs. We also met some amazing people and made a life long friend with Mama George. The Mamawanna Rum was yummy. We visited Paul and Jill's for horse back riding tour. We rode horses through the rain forest and visited the ruins of a sugar plantation. We also rode along Rainbow beach and Jill took pictures for us with our personal cameras. We went to several little cabanas along the shoreline for good food and great drinks. Above the Cliff, Off the Wall, Rythym's, Rumrunner's and more. The views were spectacular! Every evening we had an amazing condo to return to and relax. I look forward to returning and staying at this great condo again."

  • Great Location, Highly Recommend

"Our stay consisted of 8 days of great weather and scenery. The Condo is right on the beach and we were able to enjoy the warm breezes night and day. We did not need the turn on the air conditioner at all due to the constant sea breezes. Everything you need is there and it is centrally located in the middle of the island so getting to anywhere on the island does not take long at all. The condo is very clean and well stocked for those who like to cook their own meals. The King size beds are very comfortable. There is a beautiful pool that is available for use as well as the beach that is within 50 yards of the back door!! A beautiful sunrise to watch each morning for those who enjoy that sort of thing!! If you are considering a relaxing Caribbean vacation without all the hustle of others then this is the place to go. You will not be disappointed."
