  • Beautiful view, pretty and comfortablel apartment, friendly and helpful owners.

"Cathie made sure we had all the information to get there before we left for our trip, and has a binder of maps of nearby restaurants and groceries that is very helpful to get started. She made herself available to us, but certainly was non-intrusive - just right to get the local perspective and still feel the privacy. The location is perfect, because it is nearly in the middle of the North Shore, so it is easy to get to Christensted (east) or Fredericksted (west). It is up away from the ocean, providing a spectacular view without feeling sandy or salty. The weather was bad for a couple of days, but we didn't mind, because the apartment is so pretty and comfortable. The view really was amazing! We ate in quite a bit, because the view and ocean sounds from the balcony were better than many restaurants. Little lizards darted across the rails of the balcony,, a doe and fawn came out of the woods, and the adorable neighbor dog, Bacon, came to visit. The landscaping is also beautiful with many different kinds of flora, even lime trees for fresh limes in your drinks! It was our 20th anniversary, and we were so glad to have the privacy and independence with such beauty around us. We were even greeted by a bottle of champagne (along with their customary Cruzan rum bottle) and a note wishing us a good stay and a happy anniversary. Last, Cathie was very eager to get feedback on how the apartment/stay could be improved, which is always a great sign of dedication to this business. We already want to go back and stay there again!"

  • Wonderful!

"Beautiful! I loved this place. It was so relaxing. The sunrises and ocean breezes from the balcony were wonderful. The condo had everything we needed and more. Mary was very accomodating and attentive to our needs. It was above and beyond. Can't wait to come back!"

  • Great Family Getaway

"Overall, my family had a great time in St Croix, and we are very glad we stayed at this property. The Property: + Beautiful view of north shore of St Croix from 2 bedrooms and living room area. The screened balcony is where we spent most of our time. + Nicely maintained and stocked with reading material, games, movies and local info/recommendations + Kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans, etc so we could eat in when we wanted to + New washer/dryer in unit was great, stocked with detergent + Great cross-breeze and sound of crashing waves makes you feel like you are on the beach Gentle Winds Complex: + Great community with friendly people + Very short walk to the pool and beach. Great for quick trips to the beach/pool with the kids. + We felt safe at Gentle Winds with on-site guard at single point of entry to the complex. Location: + Located in close proximity to a great selection of beaches with great snorkeling and diving options. + Good selection of restaurants on the north shore of St Croix. Rowdy Joe's and Waves at Cane Bay were our favorites. + Far enough away from the city to be quiet, but a quick drive to gas and grocery stores."

  • As Advertised and well worth it.

"My wife, adult daughter, her fiance and myself spent 10 days here and loved every hour! It's a bit nerve wracking renting a condo from photos on-line, so let me assure you that this condo is spacious, well decorated, comfortable (not like our usual experience in rentals) and perfectly situated on an excellent beach. There are some rocks to traverse when going into the water, but we wore water socks and went into the water and played in the waves every day. There are many other units in this complex and 103 has the best beach. Valerie was extremely helpful and always available with a quick email or text. Contrary to an earlier review, we found the hot water to be plentiful. The beds are firm, but very much like what we have at home. Everything is provided that you might need - both bath and beach towels, snorkel equipment, extra sheets, even some staples in the fridge to get us started. A car is a must. Pick up items at the nearby Food Town if you must, but a 15 minute drive to Cost-You-Less or K-Mart will save you substantial cash. Christiansted is a short 10 minute drive away and has numerous restaurants and shops. We had a wonderful time on Big Beards all-day excursion out to Buck Island which included snorkeling (twice) and a beach side hot lunch of hamburgers, hot dogs and Mahi-Mahi. Mostly, however, we sat on the beach steps away from our wonderful condo and relaxed. This was our sixth island in six years and we all agreed it is one of the best experiences we have had."
