  • Fantastic!

"The condo and property are wonderfully maintained. Views are breathtaking. Would definitely book this vacation spot again and have already referred it to others. Patti was on site to greet us and show us around. Had lots of info available for things to do and an added plus is there in a restaurant/bar on the property."

  • Fantastic Place

"My over-riding impression upon arriving at Sugar Bay House is that it is in a perfect spot, with a magnificent view all around it and that the accommodations are really relaxing and comfortable. So let's deconstruct that sentence. Firstly - The perfect spot. Sugar Bay House is situated on the top of a small hill overlooking Salt River Bay on the North Shore. We drove around this wonderful island and we thought that the Salt River area was the most interesting, beautiful and quiet place upon the island. There are a few houses nearby, so it's quiet. The Salt River area, has an interesting little Marina, through which I walked nearly every day. There are interesting boats and people there and I ended up getting to know of few of them a little. Its an easy walk down the hill from the house to the little beach or Marina, but a little more effort is needed to get back up again, but it's worth it. The nearby beach was good for swimming and lazing. Everywhere you look around the house from the terrace and during the walk down to the beach is full of colorful flowers growing on bushes everywhere. It's really easy to get around St. Croix to visit all the great beaches which are never far away. Most had a beach bar on them, white sand and clear turquoise water. Some of the roads on the island are a little rough though, so you might want to rent an SUV. We didn't, we had a small fiesta which was fine but sometimes not quite fit for purpose, especially around the rain forest. So now to the second point - the view. I spent so much time sitting on a bench under a covered table at the corner of the deck just looking at the view; it's stunning and it's interesting. I watched the boats coming to and fro and even 2 getting wrecked in a squall one weekend. You can see for miles in many directions. Sea planes flew over head, birds dropped by for a chat and even an iguana dropped by to bury some of her eggs. I was there everyday for many hours, during the mornings, days and especially at night - all right I couldn't see much then , but still loved it. There was always a gentle breeze blowing by, that was cooling on a hot day, but never cold.I think it's sitting at that table that I miss most as I look back to those heavenly two weeks there. The Pool was great and actually deep enough to dive in and long enough to swim lengths. Now the third point - the comfortable house. To be honest, I wasn't in the house too much but when I was, I was asleep in a comfortable bed with all th"

  • Loved our time here!!

"This was the fifth time we stayed at Villa Leja and we enjoyed our time!! We spent every day at a different beach and came home to the beautiful pool and relaxed. The views of Buck Island in the back yard are so welcoming in the morning as you plan your day. The house is beautiful and the grounds are private. We stopped at a few new places this year, Ziggy's Gas Station being one of them. We had a great time. The east end is so peaceful you'll want to keep coming back. The house is close to quite a few very nice restaurants and the beach at the east end, Cramer Park, is perfect for a quiet day. Town is close enough to drive to and pick up lunch for your day at the beach. We will continue to come back and encourage others for a wonderful vacation. Thank you for a great vacation!!"

  • Wonderful, once again!

"Calypso Condo at Gentle Winds is just perfect! This is our 2nd year staying 2 weeks per year, always clean, well stocked with games, toys, tennis equipment, beach gear, golf clubs and balls, etc... Any issue we've had Angela has happily taken care of within the same day. This condo is centrally located and whether you just want to sit by the huge pool and soak up the sun or be super active and go diving, snorkeling, and horseback riding, this is the place for you! We have 4 kids and they loved the basketball court, ping pong table, shuffle board, and board games. The condo is designed so our family could spread out into the 3 bedrooms/3 baths/ 3 balconies. We spent a lot of time at Cane Bay this year getting our diving certification, and it's only 10 minutes down the road. We also did See Thru Kayaks at night into the bioluminescent bay which is only a minute away. We needed to keep up with emails while on vacation and had no problem; internet connection was more then adequate. We ate most of our meals at the condo and had the best meats from Annaly farms and Seaside. Other items we found at Plaza West, just be really careful buying meat there! Annaly farms has all kinds of meat and it's super fresh! We had a fantastic meal at Blue Water Terrace on the east side of the island and several great meals at Eat at Cane Bay. We also attended several church services at Southgate Baptist Church also on the east side. Great people and great preaching!! We really don't think there's a better place to stay on the island!"
