  • Beautiful condo, great location!

"This was our first trip to St. Croix and loved this condo! The condo is located in a convenient area on the island. Very quick and easy drive to Christiansted. But also easy to travel to both ends of the island, from Point Udall to Fredericksted! The condo had everything we needed, including snorkel gear, beach chairs, beach towels, and even little extras (such as band-aids and sunburn relief spray and lots of hangers in the closets!). The bedrooms have AC units, which we used only at night to sleep comfortably. The unit gets an incredible breeze throughout the day that cools the condo down. We used the washer and dryer everyday. The unit was clean and very comfortable. The property has a gate with 24-hr security on site. The pool was enjoyable, clean, and just steps away from this unit. The beach is relaxing out front, we snorkeled the tire reef and enjoyed the incredible fish, and the evening views of Christiansted are just as pleasant. The owners were very quick to respond to any questions as we were booking to stay. They also helped guide us with some ideas for things to do on the island. They were very easy to work with! For those considering a trip, a few must To-Do items: Go to Buck Island (we used Caribbean Sea Adventures Sailing trip and had a great experience), Kayak the Bioluminescent Bay (Bush Tribe Eco Adventures did a great job), feed the beer-drinking pigs in the rain forest, visit Rainbow Beach, Hike to the Tide Pools of Analy (if the hike is too strenuous for some people in your group, consider a ride by Jeep, we saw Tan-Tan Tours out there), eat at 40-Strand, Breakfast at Toast, find La Reine Chicken Shack for a favorite local eats, and shop in Christiansted (Sonya's for Cruzan Hook bracelet)! We would stay in this condo again! Great location, great price, great owners! Thank you for sharing your home on the island!"

  • Perfect Island, Perfect house!

"This house surely does not fall short of the pictures! From the views, to the house, everything is perfect! We found two beautiful beaches not even a mile from the house, and when we wanted to stay in, there was plenty of things to do and views to take in from the deck right at the house! The fact that it was on the quiet, less populated East End just adds to its charm, as it was an amazing place to retreat to at the end of a busy day exploring all the wonderful island has to offer. I am another who has absolutely fallen for STX, and my family and I will certainly be back to Smugglers in the near future!"

  • Amazing!!!

"I can't say enough about how we loved our stay at Breezy Beach, the location was perfect, close enough to town but we still had our privacy. The house is clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. Everything you need is here except food. Already planning our next trip. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home. Terry and Lindy Crutcher"

  • Calypso Condo still lives up to its name

"In Greek mythology Calypso was a nymph of exceptional beauty who lived on a hidden island and kept a lover her prisoner for years. Perhaps that's why the Flanagans named their Gentle Winds home "Calypso", a beautiful place where you wouldn't mind being held captive for years. This was the second time that our family (husband, 16-year old, 13-year-old and 9-year old, plus my parents in their mid-70's) was fortunate enough to spend 9 days on St. Croix staying at Calypso Condo. The word "condo" though doesn't do it justice. Calypso becomes your home for the time you are there. Calypso still has every amenity you could possibly desire. Toiletries in the bathroom, novels on the bookshelf, a well-stocked bar and some sunscreen (hats, too) await you upon your arrival so that you can start relaxing without doing that first run to the supermarket upon landing. Furnishings are clean, fresh, comfortable and stylish, loads of local art adorn the brightly-painted walls. We love when the Shack opens its' shutters each day around 11 so the kids can get their fruit daiquiris. Food is always fresh and everyone had a favorite "drink of the day". The Caribbean Sea beckons with its warm, lapping waves and snorkeling right off the beach, but at night the Gentle Winds pool lights are irresistible for that night swim. Its a tough decision to leave Gentle Winds to explore the island but when you do, we recommend Rainbow Beach in Frederiksted, the beach restaurant and activities are a fun way to spend a day. Crab races on the boardwalk in Christiansted was a highlight. Un Amore has fresh Italian specialties that will inspire you to order something from every course with a wine selection to match. One day set your alarm and drive the 40 minutes or so to see the sunrise at Point Udall. The drive on this part of the island is gorgeous in the pre-dawn hours. Lots more recommendations in the Calypso Condo Guest Book. Snag this place if it is available."
