  • Month in Paradise at Brimstage Estate

"We are considering a move to St Croix and wondered what its like when "vacation mode" ends and the realities of living on an island kick in. So, we booked Brimstage Estate for the entire month of August. What a great decision, we couldn't be happier with the villa and its accommodations. Very comfortable (cool breezes even in August), beautiful views (Salt River Bay, Christiansted, Northshore), private (I have no tan lines now), and safe. Even after a month we still hate to leave. The owner goes out of his way to make sure you're happy here and satisfied with the villa. If you're a couple, family, or group of friends and looking for a villa on St. Croix look no further ... you'll be glad you chose Brimstage Estate."

  • The Honeymoon of Our Dreams!!! A First Class Estate Fit for a King & Queen

"My husband and I saw pictures of this Yellow Bird Luxury Rental online and knew it would be the perfect place for our dream honeymoon suite. It looked inviting and colorful the way we wanted our tropical paradise home to be. When we pulled up to the beautiful estate, our jaws dropped. The whimsical manor nestled in Fredericksted was truly a sight to see. The gorgeous botanical garden and fruits smelled wonderful. The details put into the structure were creative and awe-inspiring. The arcs inside and outside of the house looked like something out of a romantic love story. The architecture of the rooms, the coziness of every part made our stay so sweet. Every room had such a delightful appeal, we could have stayed at any of them and been just as pleased. The view from the top floor bedroom was breathtaking. We especially loved the veranda where we had our first meal on the island. The entire home was immaculate and in showplace shape. I loved the style of the tropical furniture, the bedding, the kitchen, the baths and the fans. My husband loved the bedding too but he really liked the tile work throughout. Such resplendent detail! Zen was such a gracious host. From her welcome to our departure, she's the best! Zen's garden smelled delightful, looked eye-catching, and the whirlpool was a great added touch. I appreciated the wireless, the kitchen's charm, and the closet space was superb! Yellowbird definitely beats any other vacation spot on the island. We felt like a king and queen. The fresh herbal teas are exactly my style. There was more than enough space and plenty of options to lounge around. We were able to easily access the beaches, the highway, the airport, and so much more. Our stay was simply the absolute BEST! We're so happy we chose Yellow Bird. We would highly recommend the Yellow Bird Vacation home to our friends, families and even other newlyweds. It was just right in every way possible. We will definitely be returning to the Virgin Islands again. And when we do, we will bring family, cook out, and stay no place else but our Yellow Bird Vacation Home. Thanks a million, Zen, for having such a great place. Our honeymoon was a dream come true. We LOVE Yellow Bird. May you have much success and many, many more guests! Eric & Erika H. :)"

  • Satisfied..

"Nice 2 bedroom condominium. Air conditioning in both bedrooms. Condo grounds and pool area well maintained. Having the use of the Explorer was a plus. Condo close to King Harbor where there are resturants, shopping, entertainment and several places for water activities like fishing, diving and excursions."

  • Calypso Condo still lives up to its name

"In Greek mythology Calypso was a nymph of exceptional beauty who lived on a hidden island and kept a lover her prisoner for years. Perhaps that's why the Flanagans named their Gentle Winds home "Calypso", a beautiful place where you wouldn't mind being held captive for years. This was the second time that our family (husband, 16-year old, 13-year-old and 9-year old, plus my parents in their mid-70's) was fortunate enough to spend 9 days on St. Croix staying at Calypso Condo. The word "condo" though doesn't do it justice. Calypso becomes your home for the time you are there. Calypso still has every amenity you could possibly desire. Toiletries in the bathroom, novels on the bookshelf, a well-stocked bar and some sunscreen (hats, too) await you upon your arrival so that you can start relaxing without doing that first run to the supermarket upon landing. Furnishings are clean, fresh, comfortable and stylish, loads of local art adorn the brightly-painted walls. We love when the Shack opens its' shutters each day around 11 so the kids can get their fruit daiquiris. Food is always fresh and everyone had a favorite "drink of the day". The Caribbean Sea beckons with its warm, lapping waves and snorkeling right off the beach, but at night the Gentle Winds pool lights are irresistible for that night swim. Its a tough decision to leave Gentle Winds to explore the island but when you do, we recommend Rainbow Beach in Frederiksted, the beach restaurant and activities are a fun way to spend a day. Crab races on the boardwalk in Christiansted was a highlight. Un Amore has fresh Italian specialties that will inspire you to order something from every course with a wine selection to match. One day set your alarm and drive the 40 minutes or so to see the sunrise at Point Udall. The drive on this part of the island is gorgeous in the pre-dawn hours. Lots more recommendations in the Calypso Condo Guest Book. Snag this place if it is available."
