  • Welcome Home

""Welcome home" is the first sign that greets you as you arrive at Cane Bay Campground. You're also likely to hear those words from the campground managers/hosts, Colleen and Ryan--both amazing people!! And it won't take you long to feel like you ARE home. The campground is a truly wonderful place. You're nestled in the rain forest. Nature's symphony in the background. Plenty of privacy (that you won't get at a resort) in and around your cabin. The cabins and private bath are super clean. The amenities, while simple, are all you need. Life slows down. You're 'limin'. Hosts: Super friendly (as are their 3 dogs), genuine people. There when you need 'em, gone when you don't. Location: Rain forest. Beach steps away. Off the Wall is a super welcoming little bar a short walk away. Great place to watch the sunset. Try Colleen's dinner special on Friday's--best food we had our whole trip. Short drive to Christansted and Fredriksted (rent a car for some of your trip--but not all). Cost: Can't be beat. Bottom line: The campground is great. The hosts are better. Book it. You'll be happy you did."

  • Everything that we could've hoped for and more!

"We had a great time staying in this condo. The top floor was very quiet which is what we were looking for. The condo was very clean and had plenty of linens. The kitchen was very well equipped. The balcony has a very nice view of the courtyard and you can see the pool and some of the water off to the left. The internet and phones worked great. We did have one issue with the AC units and had to contact the owner. I emailed Mark and he replied the same day. The problem was fixed the next day (both AC units were replaced with brand new ones). This was accomplished on a holiday! The maintenance man went above and beyond as far as I’m concerned. Thanks Mark for taking care of that so quickly. We would definitely stay there again when visiting St. Croix in the future."

  • Wonderful, once again!

"Calypso Condo at Gentle Winds is just perfect! This is our 2nd year staying 2 weeks per year, always clean, well stocked with games, toys, tennis equipment, beach gear, golf clubs and balls, etc... Any issue we've had Angela has happily taken care of within the same day. This condo is centrally located and whether you just want to sit by the huge pool and soak up the sun or be super active and go diving, snorkeling, and horseback riding, this is the place for you! We have 4 kids and they loved the basketball court, ping pong table, shuffle board, and board games. The condo is designed so our family could spread out into the 3 bedrooms/3 baths/ 3 balconies. We spent a lot of time at Cane Bay this year getting our diving certification, and it's only 10 minutes down the road. We also did See Thru Kayaks at night into the bioluminescent bay which is only a minute away. We needed to keep up with emails while on vacation and had no problem; internet connection was more then adequate. We ate most of our meals at the condo and had the best meats from Annaly farms and Seaside. Other items we found at Plaza West, just be really careful buying meat there! Annaly farms has all kinds of meat and it's super fresh! We had a fantastic meal at Blue Water Terrace on the east side of the island and several great meals at Eat at Cane Bay. We also attended several church services at Southgate Baptist Church also on the east side. Great people and great preaching!! We really don't think there's a better place to stay on the island!"

  • Amazing condo in St Croix

"We just returned from our second visit to St Croix and our second time in Terry's amazing condo. We spent three weeks from May 2-24th in absolutely beautiful weather. Each morning we awoke to the sounds of tropical breezes and the small waves coming ashore. Breakfast was coffee on the gallery reading the St Croix paper and enjoying what ever we wished to make. The kitchen in this condo is equipped better then ours at home. The two speacious bedrooms plus a wonderful dining room and a sunken living room are more then enough for a family of four or more. The two bathrooms and showers are wonderful after a day at the beach. We would like to recommend you rent your vehicles from Judi of St Croix. Ask for Dennis and tell hime his favorite customers from Massachusetts told you to call. As far as a beach, there are many to choose from but we spent every one of the 21 days on the beach at the Buccaneer hotel. Food is wonderful and there are many restaurants. We ate at the Savant where we had the most amazing New Zealand rack of lamb. Working with Terry is great. Getting to the condo is easy if you come in during the day. At night is can be a little tricky. We suggest you rent a car for the first day you are on the island and have them deliver it to the condo. Take a taxi to the condo. Inexpensive and the drivers know the way. We have already decided to come back for a third time next May. I hope you enjoy your St Croix vacation as we have."
