  • Memorial Day Fun

"We visited this amazing villa over Memorial Day weekend! I have visited many islands and stayed at many villas throughout the Caribbean! The view from the porch and main living room (well really almost every room) is simply breath taking! Words cannot describe adequately the sheer beauty! The villa is central to so many fun beach spots (Maho Bay being my favorite). There are many wonderful restaurants we went to! The Lime Inn was my favorite - the mussels were out of this world! But I will say that the house was well equipped for the meals we cooked at Casa Bueno and to be honest had the best view on the island! The beds were super comfortable and the villas is very nicely decorated! Also, the downstairs bathroom (not on the main house level) was newly remodeled and gorgeous! For those who want t private little hideaway, this would be your room of choice! Really every room in the house was really nice and comfortable! We will definitely be back! We highly recommend this villa and the property manager was super easy to work with! Thanks Marc!"

  • What a view!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Bay House was very well maintained and spacious for a big family of 4. All of us are six feet plus and we had plenty of room without feeling like we were in each-others space. It had all the amenities you would ever need for cooking and making drinks. The pool was awesome. We took a dip every morning and every evening. When not at one of 39 beaches, we spent most of our time on the pool and upper decks. All I can say is WHAT A BREEZE! All day and all night the cooling trade-winds blew. We enjoyed coffee in the morning and dinners in the evenings out there. The owner and management company were a pure joy to work with when setting up our recent stay. We loved it so much so that we are already planning our next stay!"

  • Great Location!

"This house was fantastic! The pool was by far one of our favorite things about this place - perfect for cooling off in the afternoons. We can't say too much about the inside since we spent most of our time on the screened in porch enjoying the view of the bay but the beds in both the loft and downstairs were both very comfortable. Everything was clean, well stocked and just perfect! The bonus was the condiments we found in the fridge - made cooking on the grill just like being at home. There are many beaches just a 10-15 minute drive from this house and once you master the driveway you are good to go! Aqua Bistro and the marketplace down the hill were super-convenient and the locals are extremely friendly and fun to talk to. The property management company that takes care of this place is also excellent. We would recommend staying here to anyone and are already thinking about returning next year!!! Did NOT want to come home! Great change of pace from very busy Cruz Bay!"

  • A nice family getaway

"My husband, my daughter, and I stayed in Tree Frog for a week. Pros: The owner and property manager were helpful and easy to communicate with, and the property was as described in the listing. Furnishings are nice and in good shape, attractive decor and good layout. We specifically wanted a place with an indoor vs outdoor staircase since we were traveling with a child- didn't want her traipsing around outside without us if we slept on different floors, and it was perfect. Downstairs bedroom is spacious, and the bed is comfortable. There are lots of beach supplies available for renters to use: several Tommy Bahama beach chairs (the best kind!), coolers, sand toys, etc. The kitchen is well-equipped for preparing meals and cocktails. There were also plenty of extra towels and linens if we needed them, also well-stocked toilet paper and paper towels as well as some bathroom items. We appreciated that some of the pantry and toiletry items are left behind from other guests, like condiments, extra sunblock, bug spray, etc. (We've stayed at places where there was NOTHING!) Lots of privacy- no visible neighbors, no noise other than the sounds of nature. Nice view from upstairs balcony- it was cool to watch the birds during the day and especially cool to watch the bats at dusk. Cons: the drive really is rough. It is not for the inexperienced USVI driver. We didn't mind too much because we planned on eating dinner at the cottage every night anyway, but I wouldn't recommend it for someone who plans to eat/drink out then return after dark. We did use the AC downstairs in the bedroom every night... we did not find that the breezes cooled the place enough for the July heat. The patio door opening upstairs lacks a screen, so with it open, the breezes come in, but so do the mosquitoes. Our daughter ended up sleeping downstairs too. There is an AC unit upstairs too, but it didn't seem to do the trick just to cool the place at night. The bathroom was damp and hot 24/7, which came with a gross smell. The towels all smelled a little mildewy. We visit St. John a lot and so we've come to expect these things (you will find the same if not worse at other villas in this price range- TRUST ME!); I only mention it for those who are unfamiliar with St. John rentals. I've heard it's cooler and the AC is not needed at other times of the year, but we've found we need it when we come in late June or July. We enjoyed our trip, and staying at Tree Frog was a good experience."
