  • Great location! Spectacular view! And very cool house!

"We only stayed 3 nights, but would definitely recommend this as a great location to spend any length stay on St. John. Nina lives right there next door and she designed this very cool West Indies style bungalow. The house was very clean and with nice detail going into the design and décor. There was also access to snorkel and beach chairs which we put to good use, as well as kayaks down by the small beach below the house which we didn't get time to use in the adjacent cove. Located near Coral bay, this house is on the quiet side of the island, but there are a few dining options ranging in price, with our favorite being Skinny Legs for the beach bar style atmosphere and burgers, plus there are small groceries on that side. Make sure to stock up on bottled water for drinking, as with many Virgin Island properties, the tap water is via rain cisterns. Access to the amazing north shore beaches is convenient, with Maho, Cinnamon, and Trunk (get there early to park) all providing great views, calm clear water, and amazing snorkeling. It's about 30 minutes to Cruz Bay where the ferries dock, along with the plenty of shopping, dining, and car rentals."

  • Beautiful Views, Great Hosts, Third Time Staying Here

"This is the third time we have stayed here for a week; and every time we have had a blast. Tom and Dee are terrific hosts. The views are gorgeous. The cottage is comfortable and has everything we need, There is a fully functional kitchen and a outdoor grill. We enjoyed eating our breakfast while watching the boats in the bay. All beach equipment is provided, chairs, cooler, and towels. We absolutely love St John. We did a lot of snorkeling, hiking and eating. Tom and Dee are always generous in sharing their island knowledge. We look forward to visiting again soon!! The un-paved road up to the house is a bit bumpy, so be prepared for that. Maybe some day soon come it will get paved. :-)"

  • So Much Space!

"This place is great! Vida da Mar feels like you’re on your own private island, but you’re only a quick drive to town. The common area in the center of the property has a fully appointed kitchen, living room, and dining room. The common building opens to the pool and deck area, which is huge, has plenty of comfy lounge chairs, umbrellas, and an outdoor dining area. The deck area is right over the ocean, and we were treated to stunning sunsets every evening. Oh, and you can walk right down to the private beach. The private sleeping villas were perfect for our group. I think our villa was larger than my entire apartment. I cannot say enough. The property is right on the ocean, and there is so much space—both indoors and outdoors. Absolutely lovely."

  • Can't wait to return!!

"We just returned from our trip to St. John and Sea Grape. What a charming and perfect place to stay! Great decorating, spectacular view of the bay and outer islands.....and just a five minute walk to downtown. The beaches are beautiful and restaurants and even the bars have great food - the fish is fresh and the local drinks were great as well! We loved it and will be back!!"
