  • Loved it!

"We just returned from an absolutely wonderful vacation in St. John and we were so happy with our stay at Three Virgins View. Communication with the property management company was a smooth process and we were greeted at the ferry on arrival by Lyndell who was very nice and helpful in getting us settled and providing tips for our stay on the island. We especially appreciate her recommendation to try Candi's BBQ. We ate there THREE TIMES! We found the villa to be as advertised and would definitely stay there again. Highlights: Spectacular view and a quick drive to Cruz Bay Generous amount of space for two people Beach towels, beach chairs, small cooler, snorkels & fins provided A fairly well-stocked kitchen with gas stove, coffee maker, blender toaster & microwave Loved the hammock! Favorite spots around the island: Beaches - Salomon Beach, Honeymoon Beach and Trunk Bay Hikes - Reef Bay Trail Restaurants - Joe's Rum Hut (Spicy Shrimp appetizer and Burgers were excellent); Candi's BBQ (The ribs, pulled pork & grilled shrimp were all excellent. Skip the fries or corn and go for her plantains, slaw, pasta salad or mac & cheese. The prices are a steal compared to other places in town for the amount of food you get.); Skinny Legs in Coral Bay is a good stop for a burger and beer"

  • Lovely Island Cottage

"My boyfriend and I visit St John fairly often, and we don't think of the island as a luxury destination - what keeps drawing us back is the simplicity of island life. We enjoy having a place to call home while we're there, and home is exactly what Molly's Cottage felt like when we stayed there last month. Cozy and tastefully decorated, with a great new open concept kitchen. We loved the large screened doors which let in the sunlight, cool breezes, and beautiful views (while keeping out the bugs!). Close to town without being right in it, and convenient to every part of the island. (Definitely recommend renting a jeep to get around and explore this amazing island!). Dining options on St John are excellent, but it was nice to enjoy some dinners at the cottage, too. There are several markets in town, so it's easy to stop and pick up whatever you need on your way back from the beach. The deck overlooking Chocolate Hole Bay is great - we ate breakfast there every morning, and it was the perfect place to relax with a cocktail or a glass of wine after days filled with hiking, paddle boarding, and beach bumming (be sure to use bug spray in the late afternoon/early evening when the no see ums and mosquitoes are fierce!). Being able to walk to the beach was fun - Chocolate Hole isn't the most spectacular beach on the island, but it was so nice to have it right there. Nice strolls in the morning and before dinner, and we did spend one very pleasant afternoon there swimming and beachcombing. The lack of AC was not a problem thanks to the breezes and fans (who wants to listen to a noisy window AC unit anyway - or sleep with the windows closed - when you can be lulled to sleep by the sound of tree frogs, crickets, birds, and waves?!). Having a washer and dryer was convenient. We mostly used the clothes line for drying - those breezes dry laundry in no time! There is good internet connection at the cottage, too. The owner is a pleasure to communicate with, quick to respond to emails and answer questions. We would definitely rent Molly's Cottage again. And we would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a simple, laid back island experience."

  • Loved everything about it!

"Photos don't do it justice! Everything about it was clean and maintained. Owner and manager provide excellent service. I would highly recommend and would plan to return if I get the chance. We came for the beaches and had a fantastic time. Really enjoyed starting our day and coming home to the pool and hot tub."

  • A slice of heaven!

"This was our 5th visit to Rhumb Runners. How do you describe paradise? When we arrive I take a deep breath and remind myself how lucky we are to have found this beautiful, perfect, location and house to stay in. Coral Bay overall is a wonderful spot, close to less crowded beaches, convenient food store and great selection of restaurants. The house was lovely the first time we saw it many years ago, but Mike and Cris continue to put in improvements over the years, new kitchen, flat screen TV, original artwork, new chairs, the list goes on. They added some great beach chairs, easy to sling on your back and hike with. We used the grill on the deck and the kitchen to cook some great meals. Of course the views are priceless. I saw another review that mentioned a steep drive up. I've been to several other houses, and this is one of the easiest to get to with this kind of view. My sister was staying in another house about the same height but the view was more hills, less water. In addition to the beautiful views this is a very private location. Loved going to the beaches early, the snorkeling was great, turtles, rays, all kinds of fish, but is was wonderful to relax at the house in the afternoon. Our 23 year old son loved it as well, we were a little worried he would get bored with his parents but we all agreed it was a fabulous trip. Can't wait to go back, I wouldn't dream of staying in another house!!!"
