  • Better then the pictures!!!

"Loved memory daze . The view is the best in coral bay breath taking , Comfortable beds . The kitchen is well stocked , loved the out door showers so magical. Karen with windspree was easy to contact and she even surprised me with a birthday cake from my boyfriend she went out of her way and put it in our fridge what a surprise !!! The only downside to this beautiful trip was renting the jeep from cool breeze rental which wind spree suggested . It was a horrible 10 days dealing with cool breeze which resulted in me breaking my leg over a problem with the car! Do not rent from them at any cost very rude and poorly maintained cars. I loved Memory daze it was very private and i loved the sounds from the birds and crickets at night time. I can not wait to return .."

  • Wonderful, peaceful, relaxing stay

"We loved our stay at Surf Sound Cottage! Every detail was well thought out in terms of what was available to use and even how they decorated. Never did we say "I wish this place had...." It was simply perfect. The cottage was very clean, the breeze kept it cool (no need to use the AC), and the view was beyond gorgeous. We so appreciated access to the beach towels, beach chairs, and the coolers. Our favorite place in the cottage was the sundeck. We started each day here and enjoyed breakfast. Can you beat a view of the sunrise, sound of the surf and the gentle breeze to start your day?! A Jeep in a necessity. Learn how to put it into 4WD low. It is a must for the driveway which was quite an adventure! We used St. John Car Rental and had good service with them. A day trip to the BVI is highly recommended! We used Stormy Petrel and Pirates Penny. It was a trip to the Baths, lunch on Cooper Island, and off-shore snorkeling. We highly recommend treating yourselves to this trip! They were great! Instead of bringing many clothes (really, pack LIGHT), we recommend packing some of your favorite foods. Groceries are pricy. We were happy we brought coffee, oats, trail mix and Lara bars. These simple items for breakfast and lunch gave us more freedom to enjoy a nice dinner out! Surf Sound Cottage offers privacy, great views, constant breeze (keeps you cool and keeps bugs away!), and the comfort of home! We highly recommend this for your St. John vacation!"

  • A little bit of heaven

"My husband and I started coming to St John in 1998, and have been on island every year since. Once Mahobay Camps closed, it was difficult to find an affordable alternative. Coral Bay Cottage is definitely an upgrade from a Maho tent, and perfect for a peaceful vacation for two! We have come to love Coral Bay and all it offers, including restaurants and easy access to beaches and hiking. Coral Bay Cottage is equipped with everything one needs for comfortable living and meal prep , and we were especially grateful on the 3 rainy days last week to have an airy, dry, beautiful cabin with stunning views high on the hill. We loved snorkeling at Haulover and Leinster, open mic at Concordia, and hiking into Drunk Bay. Melody and Tom are wonderful guides. We’ll be back next year for sure."
