  • Traditional Caribbean Charm

"My husband and I visit St John every year and we stay at a new place each time. Even though, we stayed at Stone Post Cottage for only 3 nights, we found it a delightful comfortable spot. It has an old style aesthetic and vintage appeal. Beautifully appointed inside and out. It's close proximity to town is nice yet you seem to be nicely tucked in among the gardens. Margaret is on-sight if you need anything as well as the friendly caretakers; Ann and Patty. We would definitely stay here again for a much longer time."

  • FANTASTIC LOCATION, FANTASTIC HOUSE!!!

"My family and I stayed at this house the last week of June. The weather was perfect! The house afforded privacy for the family and was a great place for entertaining. We spent a lot of time on the decks. The kids (and adults) really enjoyed the pool on the lower deck. The management team in charge of the property could not have been more helpful to us. They made sure we had what we needed and gave us helpful hints on how to navigate throughout the island. It was, by far, the best vacation my family and I have ever had. Thanks to the owners and Henry and Larissa who made our stay relaxing and fun!!!"

  • Fabulous Stay with 4 adults 5 kids (ages 5 to 9)

"This house is wonderful! Perfect location. Perfect view of St. Thomas. We really loved every part of it. The pool is great. The kitchen had everything we needed. The linens and towels were nice. My bed was very comfortable. Was only buggy when the kids left the balcony doors open in their room. The 5 kids loved the playroom - the 4 adults liked that the playroom was separate from the main portion of the house! Each bedroom has a King sized bed and its own bathroom - which makes it the perfect house for 4 couples. The bedroom and bathroom doors are not solid doors they are made of slats. It wasn't a problem but I prefer more privacy from both sides of the door than that. 3 bedrooms are on the second floor and one is on the main floor. (There is another bedroom with a murphy bed off the playroom which does not have a door to the main house. It is not equivalent to the other 4 bedrooms at all.) Two of the bedrooms have an indoor shower and an outdoor shower. The other two have just an outdoor shower. I LOVED the outdoor shower. The house is environmentally friendly with timers on the lights and the a/c. So, if you want the lights or a/c on you have to set a dial. We thought that aspect was great until we went to bed the first night and the a\c in our rooms clicked off after 6 hours (max setting). I generally like to sleep much longer than 6 hours and the room got uncomfortable. It wasn't a big deal just found myself jumping out of bed whenever I woke up in the middle of the night to walk around to the kids rooms to turn the knob so they didn't get hot and wake up early. The music system was nice. I didn't watch one second of tv the entire time I was there so I can't comment on that. But there were tvs in every bedroom, living room and the playroom. The playroom has a bathroom, a bedroom, an air hockey table, pool table and an old school video game thing. There were also lots of comfy looking recliners down there. Beach chairs, snorkel gear for adults, a cooler, pool floats, beach towels for 8 people, extra sheets, a roll of paper towels, more toilet paper than you will be able to use, some laundry detergent, dish soap, garbage bags, a few seasonings, sugar and olive oil were there as well. Coffee pot filters too. The management company, Sol Villas, sent Henry (or Enry as we've been calling him) to greet us and take care of a faulty smoke detector at one point. He was fabulous. I'm very happy and will definitely be back!"

  • Paradise

"My family recently returned from a week in this lovely home perched high above Chocolate Hole and Rendezvous Bay in St. John and it truly was paradise. The home is lovely -- very airy and wood everywhere, which made it seem almost like you were in Bali. In the evenings the sunsets are directly in front of you and are spectacular, and then as the sun goes down (& until almost mid-day the next day, when the sun makes it over the higher points surrounding the back of the house) the elevation brings in a very pleasant cool breeze. The home is divided into upper and lower sections, each having its own kitchen (although the lower section kitchen is small) and this is also a great way to divide space (or get rid of kids!). The location is close to Cruz Bay, so getting into town for restaurants, supplies etc is easy -- but the location also offers a quick escape to the beaches we prefer on the Eastern (opposite) end of St. John. We have been coming to St John for 25 years and this was our favorite house, no doubt about it. It is Paradise in Paradise."
