  • Beautiful villa

"Loved everything about our stay here with friends and family. This villa had everything we could hope for except air conditioning in the great room/kitchen area, but most of our time was spent in the outside living space. It was very well maintained and the manager was very helpful upon our arrival. I would recommend completely. We spent time both in the morning and evenings around the pool and enjoyed our days at the beach."

  • Perfect Villa for our family

"Dave and Julie's beautiful Villa was perfect for our family of 7 adults and 1 baby. It is a place that you truly can feel at home. Although not new, it does not feel at all old and dingy. It is so light and airy and Julie has done a wonderful job choosing the furniture and decorating. I was afraid that the living/dining/kitchen area might seem small, but it didn't. I loved that it was open concept. It never seemed crowded, but you still felt like you were a part of everything. I had wondered if there were other houses close by that just didn't show in the pics. A couple are close, but you can't see them. You have complete privacy both inside and outside. My husband and I slept in the main master. We did hear people in the villa above us talking a few times, but we couldn't see them and it was not noisy or bothersome. The bed in the main master is very, very firm. Fortunately for me there were 2 foam pads in our walk-in closet that I was able to put on my side of the bed, otherwise we were going to trade rooms for the other master, (which has a pillowtop that felt like it would be VERY comfy). The Cruz Bay area is very 2nd worldish-don't expect any quaint Dutch influence, or cobble stone streets-they aren't there. What there is, is beautiful weather, beautiful water and beautiful beaches. We felt that the snorkeling was good, but not as many fish as you would see in Hawaii. The boys said that their best snorkeling was at Salt Pond (a beautiful drive across the island), way out at the large rock. The beach there is rocky and not good for little ones to play on. Our next favorite snorkeling spot was Solomon beach (about a 25 minute hike from the visitors center), and the beach itself was gorgeous. We also enjoyed snorkeling at Hawksnest (the closest beach to the villa). Maho, Solomon and Hawksnest all had great beaches for kids to play on. Like others, we enjoyed getting in the pool after a day at the beach. It was the perfect size for everyone to relax in. Our 15 mo old grandson loved it! Hale Lani really was the perfect place to go back to after a day at the beach. I normally like going out to eat while on vacation, but we had 3 evening meals at "home", all of our breakfasts, (including our wonderful chef-prepared breakfast by Chef Ben), and made sandwiches to take in a cooler to the beach everyday. We all loved our stay at Hale Lani. For me, it made the vacation perfect. Thank you Dave and Julie for sharing your home with us."

  • Spectacular

"Jacqueline cares about her guests and she goes above and beyond to make everyone comfortable. The Villa is very nice and the pool is fantastic. We loved the nice breeze and beautiful views. We didn't need the air conditioner with the three door walls open. The sun does wake you up early but we loved that. The pictures are accurate and the vibe at this place is so pleasant. We were not disappointed in any way and we hope to return. We had dinner on the roof lounge and the view was breathtaking."

  • Amazing Views!!!

"A friend and I went to St John's for about 6 days, and stayed at Casa Contant. What a beautiful place, the sunset's were amazing!!! When we arrived, we were greeted with fresh flowers picked from the beautiful landscaping, and some home made cookies - thank you Serena for the hospitality. This home is close to everything, and has everything you'd need to make it a home away from home. Although the afternoon sun can be quite warm on the deck, there are umbrellas to shade from the sun. The Westin is close by, and we went over for lunch. We also rented a dingy from their waterfront area and explored a bit of the island by water. That was great fun too - watch the weather forecast, best done on a calm day since the combination of the tides and wind can make it for an adventurous ride. All in all, we had a terrific time - we'd definitely go back and stay again. One piece of advice - prepare to use Off, the mosquitoes were pretty hungry"
