  • An exceptional experience that exceeded our expectations

"The property has many things going for it which really make it an ideal rental for a vacation. First is the location which is close to town, yet perched overlooking the bay in a completely private and secluded position on the hill. There is a second identical home below Pink Conch but the design is such that one is not affected by the occupants there. The home has all the amenities you could want. An infinity pool, plenty of outdoor seating, a fully equipped kitchen, laundry, satellite TV and a comfortable area to relax. Upstairs are two air conditioned bedrooms with en suite bathrooms that have outdoor showers. There is an additional 1/2 bath downstairs. You need a vehicle - preferably a Jeep - and our hosts, Myrtle and Curtis (the other best thing that this property has to offer) made all the arrangements to have one waiting for us when we got off the ferry. Myrtle and Curtis were very accommodating and responsive. Driving on St. John can be a bit daunting, and the driveway past the security gate to the property is quite steep, but a Jeep is the perfect vehicle to negotiate the terrain. Pink Conch is a short drive to town and its restaurants and shops. We had friends who stayed out at a home in Klein Bay for which they paid twice as much, and they were afraid to drive to town at night. We met them for dinner and they ended up paying $50 each way for taxi service, and were uncomfortable making the trip into town on their own as the roads are windy and can be dark at night. That was never a concern for us at Pink Conch. We have stayed in many VRBO properties all over the world and this was one of the best. I highly recommend Pink Conch and would gladly return or send friends to experience the comfort and beauty that we enjoyed so much."

  • What a GREAT experiencr

"We used Michelle from Concierge Realty to rent a Timeshare Condo at the Westin in St John. We had never done anything like this as were nervous: overseas and expensive with a company we did not know. Well it was FANTASTIC!! Michelle went out of her way to answer questions and ensure we knew exactly what we were renting. Then she even did an after hours conference call with the Westin to help me finalize a few things. She went above and beyond and I not only 100% trust her and her company I plan to use them many more times in the future! Our trip, the room and the experience was more than we ever hoped for thanks to Michelle and her company!"

  • Perfect Villa for our family

"Dave and Julie's beautiful Villa was perfect for our family of 7 adults and 1 baby. It is a place that you truly can feel at home. Although not new, it does not feel at all old and dingy. It is so light and airy and Julie has done a wonderful job choosing the furniture and decorating. I was afraid that the living/dining/kitchen area might seem small, but it didn't. I loved that it was open concept. It never seemed crowded, but you still felt like you were a part of everything. I had wondered if there were other houses close by that just didn't show in the pics. A couple are close, but you can't see them. You have complete privacy both inside and outside. My husband and I slept in the main master. We did hear people in the villa above us talking a few times, but we couldn't see them and it was not noisy or bothersome. The bed in the main master is very, very firm. Fortunately for me there were 2 foam pads in our walk-in closet that I was able to put on my side of the bed, otherwise we were going to trade rooms for the other master, (which has a pillowtop that felt like it would be VERY comfy). The Cruz Bay area is very 2nd worldish-don't expect any quaint Dutch influence, or cobble stone streets-they aren't there. What there is, is beautiful weather, beautiful water and beautiful beaches. We felt that the snorkeling was good, but not as many fish as you would see in Hawaii. The boys said that their best snorkeling was at Salt Pond (a beautiful drive across the island), way out at the large rock. The beach there is rocky and not good for little ones to play on. Our next favorite snorkeling spot was Solomon beach (about a 25 minute hike from the visitors center), and the beach itself was gorgeous. We also enjoyed snorkeling at Hawksnest (the closest beach to the villa). Maho, Solomon and Hawksnest all had great beaches for kids to play on. Like others, we enjoyed getting in the pool after a day at the beach. It was the perfect size for everyone to relax in. Our 15 mo old grandson loved it! Hale Lani really was the perfect place to go back to after a day at the beach. I normally like going out to eat while on vacation, but we had 3 evening meals at "home", all of our breakfasts, (including our wonderful chef-prepared breakfast by Chef Ben), and made sandwiches to take in a cooler to the beach everyday. We all loved our stay at Hale Lani. For me, it made the vacation perfect. Thank you Dave and Julie for sharing your home with us."
