  • Vacation in Paradise!!

"We just returned from a week in St. John and the fabulous Villa Catalina. This vacation was truly amazing!! It was our second time on the island and our first at Villa Catalina. I cannot say enough how pleasant and easy it was to deal with the owner, Claudia. From start to finish this was truly easy breezy. The villa was exactly as pictured (even better in real life) It had everything you could possibly need to enjoy yourself on this little piece of Paradise called St. John. We were met at the ferry by Myrtle who was wonderful and patient while we dealt with renting our jeeps, etc. We were a family of 6; all adults (4 young adults) I would recommend this place for a large family or 3 couples traveling together. Waking up and seeing the Caribbean from your bed just cannot be beat!! Very peaceful and quiet location, only 10 minutes to Cruz Bay and about 20 minutes to the many amazing beaches of St. John. The villa is well maintained and cared for and it shows. Lots of books and games in case you are bored or need something to do; along with a beautiful new flat screen tv (which we never turned on!) Great wifi and cell service at the villa too. We cannot wait to come back!! Not to be missed.... Joe's Rum Hut, Rhumblines and the Longboard in Cruz Bay, Miss Lucy's in Coral Bay and of course, Columbo's Smoothie Stand on Centerline Road. We frequented Hawksnest Beach, Jumbie Beach, Cinnamon Bay, Maho Bay, Francis Bay, Salt Pond Bay and Drunk Bay. A different beach every day; what could be better?? Jeep rentals through St. John Car Rental; very easy to work with. We did a 1/2 day Catamaran snorkel sail on the Kekoa- would highly recommend. All girl crew was fantastic and fun. We hated to leave; truly. We will be back!!!! Thank you Claudia and Javier!!"

  • Early December Stay

"This was our first time renting White Cottage on St. John. We have been renting villas for many years on the island along with semi annual stays at Caneel Bay. It really is a nice house in a great location very private and not too far from Cruz Bay. There are four large private masters all with King beds we invited 2 other couples for the week and had plenty of space. The kitchen has every thing you need to prepare meals and plenty of serving platters etc often missing on other properties. The house has a laundry with brand new top of the line washer dryer so no need to over pack your suitcase. The pool is small and in a bit of a precarious location between the main house and a up stairs bedroom suite. The management company Destination St. John in my opinion is the best on the island we expect top notch service and always receive it. From the pick up at the ferry dock to the gourmet lunch basket in the fridge they make sure every thing is perfect for your stay. White Cottage is an excellent choice for a property in this price range and we would consider returning."

"Our family was blessed to have found such a beautiful home on the south side of St. John with easy access to all the island has to offer. Superb home with open island feel and plenty of space to unwind. Gorgeous views along the expansive porch overlooking the ocean below that provides ample shade to stay cool on hot days. The exterior landscaping and pool area were fantastic along with a high quality gas grill to cook fresh fish from The Fish Trap in Cruz Bay. Each bedroom is spacious and relaxing and spread out in the home from each other for privacy. The kitchen has every amenity that you could ever require a coffee maker, blender, pots and pans, cooking knives, etc... There was a full spice rack for your creations. Making the arrangements was easy and Hilarie assisted with our jeep rental. Any questions or concerns were promptly addressed however we really didn't have any issues since the home was great. As someone else noted, the end of the road is gravel and a bit bumpy but don't be alarmed since it keeps other people from adventuring to the home for privacy and once you make it to the home the first time it is not a problem. Going for walks down the road to boatmen point is nice and there is always the Easterly Trade Winds to keep you cool. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay on the island and would strongly recommend Hart Bay Ridge and working with Hilarie. Wifi throughout the home is great for teenagers. Excellent TV and satellite with Blu Ray in two spots in the home to watch movies or listen to music."

  • Slice of Paradise

"Our trip to St. John as always was exceptional. This home is perched next to the ocean with a nice view and close the Cruz Bay. Home is appointed very well with interesting decor and very comfortable beds. The bedrooms provide privacy for all as they are situated in the corners on the top and bottom levels. The salt water pool was great and always clean. Kitchen works well for large groups. We used the outside steps to access the bottom bedrooms as the spiral staircases down to these bedrooms are tight and noisy for those that are already sleeping or sleeping in. I would highly recommend this property to anyone whom is looking for a home to rent on the island of St. John. One last comment; the management company response and solutions were fantastic."
