  • We had a fantastic time on St. Johns and La Dolce Vita is the place to stay!

"We had a fantastic time on St. Johns and La Dolce Vita is the place to stay! A few points about our (Two couples) trip: 1. La Dolce Vita: a. Accommodations: Dorothy and Fernando have a fantastic house. The accommodations are first class! We felt like we were at our personal resort! The house is exceptionally well kept and functional. There was nothing we ‘wished’ we had. Everything was there and Fernando was only a text away and very responsive to any questions or requests. b. Location: being on the east side is great. La Dolce Vita is ideally placed on the west side of Coral Bay (east side of the island). We were minutes from eating, groceries and several terrific beaches. There are several wonderful restaurants on the east side. Two of our top eateries are minutes from La Dolce Vita. We met several people who traveled from the Cruz Bay side to eat on the Coral Bay side. Being on the west side of Coral Bay is a key advantage. c. Amenities: The La Dolce Vita has everything you need. Both kitchens are well equipped; A/C where you need it. The breeze is constant on any deck (we spent equal times on the 2nd and 3rd floor decks. Outdoor shower (hot and cold water) for rinsing off. The deck near the water makes being ‘on the water’ an easy experience. Snorkeling off the deck is an adventure! Beach chairs are available and work great! d. View: The views are incredible. The pictures on HomeAway only start to portray the beauty. We enjoyed the views and breeze every evening on the deck at La Dolce Vita after a day at the beach. 2. Our trip to St. John: This was our first trip to St. John but it won’t be our last. The island is beautiful and the roads are good. Islanders make you feel very welcome and are very hospitable. a. Coral Bay (The country side): La Dolce Vita is on the Coral Bay (east) side. We didn’t really appreciate this until we arrived. We will always stay on the east side. Cruz Bay (west side) is great but we only wanted to visit as it’s much more occupied and not as laid back as Coral Bay. b. Driving: driving on the left side of the road. Didn’t take too much to get used to this and again found islanders patient with tourists. We went to the west side 4 days out of our 7 day trip for groceries and lunch. The west side was more convenient to the beaches we went to on the north side (Cinnamon Bay, Trunk Bay, Francis Bay) We had a wonderful time and look forward to our next visit!"

  • Beyond Anything

"I rented this place so my fiancee and I could get engaged ( its our second time around so we spent money on getting engaged instead of a wedding). Long story short this place is beyond amazing. By the third day we came back early and spend the afternoons and sunsets on top of west side of the island with views from the pool looking down both ways on the west side...simply breathtaking!! The main house is so NICE inside and the kitchen is to die for if you cook...everything imaginable you need to fix a meal of any type. The bedrooms are nice sized, beds soft and bathrooms with walk in showers. The grounds very well taken care of and thoughtfully laid out esp the pool having the views of the entire west coast line. The drive up to this place is better suited for a jeep but once u get there... Already planning a return trip next year to bring our kids ( college age) to enjoy this. Words dont do this place and the views justice but I tried!!"

  • We love Pink Horses! Beautiful Villa in Coral Bay

"We stayed here for our honeymoon, and we could not have asked for a more breathtaking view or wonderful place to stay. From the deck view, to the master bedroom view, to even the view from the outdoor shower, everything was breathtaking. Opening the screen doors allowed the refreshing winds to cool us and we were more than comfortable without air conditioning. The kitchen was stocked with every convenience and the vaulted, wood planked ceilings made the ambiance perfect. We loved it here! Also, the Coral Bay restaurants and the Dolphin Market were also conveniently right down the hill from Pink Horses. Skinny Legs was the perfect spot for a casual drink and blackened mahi sandwich, and Indigo Grill had fabulous artisanal cocktails, pizza, and other scrumptious cuisine. Terri was also delightful to work with. She always responded to our requests and inquiries quickly and was helpful beyond belief. Even the property manager was super helpful, meeting us when we got off the car ferry with a bottle of champagne in hand. We are already planning a return anniversary trip it was so utterly amazing!"
