  • Exactly as advertised!

"We recently returned home from a two week stay in the upper floor 2 BR villa. This accommodation was perfect for our family, two adults and two young children (5 and 18 months). The pool and deck, with a fabulous sunset view, were great for us and the kids after mornings spent at the beach. The baby could nap, while we still enjoyed the outside. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. There were beach chairs, coolers and toys available for beach trips. The location was convenient to town and north shore beaches, as well as exploring Coral Bay. The bedrooms are split on either side of the living room, so it would also be a great place for two couples to share. When you take the time to compare prices, this property is a fantastic value. We highly recommend it! Can't wait to go back. Special thanks to James for being so accommodating and easy to work with."

  • Four Worldwide Travelers

"From our first communication with the owners, Scott and Patricia, we were well taken care of. First, the villa is a welcoming, well decorated and warm retreat. It sits above Coral Bay with scenic views 24/7 and has the ability to help you "kick back" immediately. The kitchen has all the pans and serving utensils you need to cook in or just snack and have an afternoon swim in the pool after visiting one of the many accessible beaches. Scott spent additional time showing my husband some good fishing spots and they both recommended great eating establishments. Yes, the cost of food is high on St John, but you are on an island retreat. You will not be disappointed and will have exceptional support if this is your first time on the island. We really developed a nice friendship with both Scott and Patricia. They are honest, hard working and aim to please. We were in command of any privacy we desired, but they were fun to hang with, too. We literally have only positive comments and would return in a flash."

  • Heavens Gate is spectacular!

"We have traveled around the world, including lots of places in the Caribbean, and we have never been to a place more beautiful than Heaven’s Gate. The views priceless by itself, but the incredible landscaping makes you feel like you are in the middle of a botanical garden, and the pool & home are amazing. The entire villa & grounds are breathtaking. We stayed there for 2 weeks, half the time with just my wife and I, and half the time with our adult kids. We all had an amazing time. The Coral Bay area is really laid back, but it has lots of small fun restaurants and all the basic necessities. Plus the people are super friendly. We snorkeled at lots of different spots and hiked in the national park. If you have a chance to stay at Heaves Gate do not pass it up. You will love everything about it!"

  • Peaceful, serene getaway

"My husband and I vacationed at Lagoon Point for one amazing week in July with two very dear relatives. The hilly location was lovely; the 180-degree view from the balcony was incredible--watching the sunrises and sunsets over Coral Bay with the island of Tortola in the distance was divine. There is no AC in the dwelling, but there are constant, cooling Tradewinds, so it is not a necessity. With the screened windows and sliding glass doors kept open (and ceiling fans running if desired), we were always comfortable. One thing we found quaint, charming and unique was the screened-in indoor/outdoor shower attached to the restroom. Loved it! The kitchen was adequately stocked with dishes, utensils and cookware -- next time we visit, however, we will bring a pot scraper/spatula, as that was missing. We ate all our meals at home--brought a fair portion of the non-fresh food with us, as we knew food in the islands is 2-2.5 X the price we'd pay stateside. There is plenty to do on the island; we rented a vehicle on St John and enjoyed exploring. There are numerous snorkeling destinations; recommend either bringing your own gear or renting from Crabby's, about a mile from the house. There are a few sets of fins and a leaky mask/snorkel in one of the closets--and several beach chairs if you want to use them! It was not really the season to hike (warm during the day), but there are a lot of hiking trails to enjoy if your visit is in the fall/winter/spring seasons. In summary, our stay was fantastic--the home was perfect for us, and we look forward to another vacation stay at Lagoon Point!"
