  • Christy Ann Was Perfect

"My wife and I stayed here for 2 weeks in January, 2017. The house was everything we had hoped for. From the outset, my interactions with Peter (owner) were cordial and very helpful in planning our trip. The St. John management company, Cimmaron, provided great service in a very professional manner. Our greeter, Vera, met us at the ferry dock with our jeep, took us to the house, and immediately made us feel right at home. The house was perfectly prepared and stocked with just about every convenience we could have asked for. The house itself is beautifully situated with incredible views. Inside, it is very expansive and well laid out. Its location offers an ideal compromise between secluded privacy and convenience to stores, services, and restaurants in Cruz Bay. St. John, with its national park and numerous unspoiled beaches, lives up to its reputation as the crown jewel of the USVI. Christy Ann is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed in all of our travels. You can't go wrong visiting St. John, and you can't go wrong staying at Christy Ann."

  • Perfect getaway for those looking for a little different experience

"My family and I enjoyed 8 incredible days at Mampoo House. I highly recommend this property to a family (or 3 couples) who want to be incredibly close to St. John's best beaches, who are seeking privacy, and do not mind a short drive to Cruz Bay. The views overlooking Oppenheimer Beach and Hawksnest are breathtaking. Two notes of caution: this home is not designed for anyone with physical disabilities (including issues with climbing stairs), and do yourself a big favor and have your own rental car (I suspect having a taxi find Mampoo is an issue). Mampoo's owners are very generous with providing all items you really need for a beach vacation: towels, coolers, beach chairs, etc. The home is outfitted in a first class manner, including the kitchen. The owners also maintain the property impeccably. Jennifer, the property manager/concierge, was extremely helpful and timely in responding to our pre-arrival requests. She helped make our arrival and departure very smooth. She was also very responsive to a few minor issues we had with the house during our stay. You become part of the natural environment of St. John when staying at Mampoo House. This is not the typical McMansion that you see on the island, and I will not hesitate to stay here again."

  • Accommodations were as advertised...

"3 of us stayed here in early January, 2017... had everything we needed, it's not what I would call a fancy place, but the beds were very comfortable, the pool was clean and in good order, the kitchen had all we needed... didn't cook much, and it was fairly close to town, so in and out for dinner, shopping or the ferry was fine. While technically you can see the water from the upper deck, it’s not what I would call a place with a view… that being said, we didn’t care… we have plenty of other memories of the amazing views on the island. The place next door, a twin to this building and we’re not sure if it is a rental or not with the same company, seemed to have a better view. The towels in the bathroom were great too! (It’s the little things sometimes… right?) There is a spiral staircase inside for accessing top to bottom floors. This could be difficult for some. It has a cooler and beach chairs, and beach towels… the cooler was the only slight disappointment… funny story, we went to the beach with said cooler… I returned from the ocean and was confused when I saw our towels and things, but a yellow not blue cooler sitting there… I told my friend who was just arriving back also, “I would have sworn that was a blue cooler!” She said, “It was!”. We found the blue covering of the cooler up the beach by the way from the car… it had fallen apart… no biggie, but it would be great if it were a “one piece” cooler… lol… The top floor French doors all open with screens and the breeze is great. The screens however, could use some mending. Again, all in all, I think it was fine. OH! Almost forgot, check the cupboard above the coffee pot… it has a lock on it, but it isn’t locked and has some coffee filters as well as salt and pepper, etc. We didn’t check it because we saw the lock and wound up purchasing a few small items we didn’t necessarily need… although that first morning when I made coffee with paper towel filter, having one of the filters just inside that door would have been cool… lol… meh… we managed to get by!"

  • Beautifully appointed property

"We stayed at Sea Palace for a week. Greg was very easy to work with and very responsive to requests. The house is beautifully designed and appointed with everything you might need. We cooked most meals on the grill and the kitchen was great to work in. We took advantage of everything the villa had to offer. Greg even let us use the hottub next door since no one was in that property during the week we were there. The rum tasting bar was great, I tried the Black strap rum which I liked as a floater on top of my painkiller. Everything worked well. Nice selection of DVDs and Netflix was available on the TV (we don't go much out in the evenings). A/C worked great for the whole floor if you need it. Plenty of beach towels, bath towels and so much space. Almost too much for just the two of us, this is really perfect for two couples traveling together. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
