  • You cannot beat the location if you love the sea, nature and tranquility

"We stayed for one amazing week on the East End at Cameron Cove. Linda was responsive and all descriptions were 100% accurate. We had everything we needed, including all linens, beach towels, well-equipped kitchen and cleaning supplies. The kitchen is full-sized and we ate all of our meals except one dinner at home. Beds were comfortable and rooms were good sized. The home opens to the back covered deck from both bedrooms and the great room and we practically lived out there, taking all our meals overlooking the stunning bay views and nighttime stargazing. We never used the air conditioning as there are fans and good screens on the patio doors and we were never hot. In the mornings after breakfast we meandered down the path to the private beach for a long swim/snorkel. Pelican Rock nearby is an easy swim and the fish, turtles, stingrays were plentiful. We took walks in the private community at night and in the mornings and the views are spectacular. It is a good 15 minute drive to Coral Bay, and 40 minutes to the car barge in Cruz Bay, so plan accordingly. The first day or two, driving the steep winding roads was a bit intimidating, but you will get used to it. The driveway to the house is not bad, but there is an incline. We rented a Wrangler on St Thomas and did our grocery shopping there before heading out to St John on our arrival. We made it to the house just after dark. The caretaker was warm and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed and was on hand to give us recommendations as needed. We drove around to different beaches and if you like snorkeling, check out Waterlemon Cay. We will stay here again if we return to St John. We just loved it here!"

  • Bougainvillea was Wonderful

"The Bougainvillea was everything the website said. Spacious, clean with all the amenities of home. Loved having coffee on the balcony every morning and watching the boats. Best part was being able to walk to the restaurants and bars each night so we didn't have to worry about parking or a designated driver. We will be back!"

  • Peaceful, immaculate private cottage

"We really enjoyed our stay at Sol Cottage. The area is totally peaceful, with only the sound of crickets and frogs at night. This was the cleanest and most well-supplied rental we have stayed at, with beach chairs, coolers, beach towels, and even a welcome array of deli supplies that gave us an easy dinner after we arrived. The cottage is a steep and winding 10 minute drive from Cruz Bay, and like many other times on the island we appreciated having a Jeep instead of a 2wd sedan. The trade-off for peaceful quiet evenings is that there are no restaurants or stores close by, but that is the point! We loved the walk south up Hilltop Lane for beautiful sunrise and sunset views. We also hiked to the petroglyphs from the cottage, but you should plan on more than the 30 minutes listed in the posting. (About 2 1/4 miles one-way, with 3/4 mile on soft sand along Reef Bay.) A beautiful hike, but slower than the distance would imply since much of it isn't on a trail. The screened-in porch was absolutely wonderful, surrounded by palm trees and a perfect place for breakfasts or relaxing after a long day. The open air shower was fantastic also, keeping the extra humidity out of the house and providing some fun times with tree frogs that live in the decorative conch shells lining the top. (Don't worry frog-o-phobes, they never crawled down inside of the shower.) We found Sol Cottage to be the perfect private peaceful escape for us, and a great base for exploring the island!"
