  • Nice Condo, Nice location!

"My family of four (Two adults, two little kids) stayed here for a few nights and found it very nice and convenient. The owner, Alan, was great to deal with - was very friendly and easy to get in touch with. The condo has a large open living, dining and kitchen space. Comfortable king bed. Easy short walk down to the beach and once on the beach you can walk for quite a while along the beach where there is a place to rent gear and a small food cart. The beach attendant was very very nice and brought us chairs and sand toys. We found it easy to walk up the driveway to the street to take the dollar bus into Red Hook and easy to catch a cab back to the Condo. We just wanted to sit on the beach for a few days but if you want to do more in St. Thomas then you would need a car. We would stay here again should we be so lucky as to vacation in the Virgin Islands again."

  • Fabulous!

"We stayed for a week at Christmas and absolutely loved our time here! The views are amazing - we enjoyed having breakfast and coffee on the front porch overlooking the other islands. And it so convenient to Red Hook and the ferry. We spent several days in St John, and when we got back from the ferry, our house was just a few miles up the road. We did walk to Pelican Beach one time but the road down is steep and there are cars that drive very fast around blind corners, so not the best for walking with children. Though, Pelican beach was very nice and it's a short walk over to Sapphire Beach Club. The house itself was very accommodating for our large group and Denis was there when we arrived and was super friendly and gave us some local tips. A rental car was very helpful. I would definitely go there again. It was one of my most favorite vacations ever!"

  • Clean, safe, beautiful and easy!

"We've stayed in a few other units at Crystal Cove in the past, but this one was our favorite. Clean, large, updated kitchen and living room areas with modern appliances. Two fill LARGE bedrooms, three full bathrooms - it just can't be beat. On-site attention by Norma the property manager was top notch, friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this unit for a safe, friendly, quiet family stay!"

  • Great location, steps from the beach

"We stayed for 2 weeks over the Christmas and New Year holidays. Jerry is extremely easy to work with, gave really helpful information about the island, and was always available to help solve any issues. The property is right on Sapphire beach, and this unit is about as close as you can get to the water. The beach is very nice, and except for a couple days when there were 4 cruise ships in port, never got too crowded. There is a small bar/restaurant on the beach attached to the property next door, nothing fancy but they will deliver right to your beach chair. You have access to free loungers as a guest of the property. About the snorkleing, I've seen several reviewers say that they didn't see much. This is certainly true if you stay right on the shoreline. You have to go out maybe 50-100 yards, and then you will see every kind of fish you could imagine. I went out almost every day, and was never disappointed. My favorites were the sea turtles and the Spotted rays, which are really majestic, appearing to fly through the water. The condo itself is very basic, but had everything we needed. It could use an update for sure, but for the price, I felt that we got a good deal. Having 2 bathrooms was really great for our family of 4. The plumbing can be a bit problematic, one toilet needs to be repaired (a repairman came by and looked at it, said it needed a part, then we never saw him again). As one other reviewer mentioned, the stove only has 2 burners that light automatically, the other 2 require a match. Norma will change your sheets and towels if you ask, but I get the feeling she is really overworked, as a couple times she said she was going to come by, but didn't manage until the next day. Probably a symptom of the fact we were there during the busiest 2 weeks of the year. The property is really close to Red Hook, but you can't walk, it's way too dangerous on the road. You will need a rental car, or figure out the rather chaotic public transit. Taxis are a complete ripoff, island wide. Bottom line, this is a great rental. Not luxurious, but hard to beat the price for a beachfront location. Owner is easy to work with and responsive."
