  • Comfortable stay with great food and beaches close by!

"Nice 3 day weekend at this property! Alan was great with communication and supplying all the necessary info to make sure we were able to maximize our short stay. We took his advice and rented an island car from Lisa at Zip Rentals. Nowhere near as fancy as a Hertz rental, but you'll understand soon enough why the little well used car fits right in. Lisa was a delight as well. The villa is comfortable and has a nice view, though a floor or two up with Alan's other unit would have provided even better! It was a bit warm inside when we arrived but as Alan mentioned, the AC works very well once you turn it on. Clean and well maintained overall. The villa is also situated just above the pool and Shoreline Bar&Grille. Our new favorite spot! Very casual waterfront but the food was terrific. We ended up doing both dinners and a breakfast there! The owner/managers Peter and Margarite are fantastic people and we chatted with them both nights. The town of Red Hook is a quick drive south for the ferry to St. John's or for some bars/restaurants and shopping. We weren't really impressed with our food at Fish Tails and were happy to spend another night at Shoreline. Everything is also closer than you think. Several beaches close by to the north and south, and it was a fun drive to Drakes Seat and Magen's Bay. Would definitely visit the property again, but maybe opt for Alan's top unit to maximize the view!"

  • The view from the top

"Gail and Curlson are wonderful hosts, friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. The rooms were spotless, and the upstairs not only spacious but filled with all sorts of useful items ranging from beach chairs and towels to an honor bar with more types of rum than I ever knew existed. The downstairs bedroom is small, but has everything a friend or second couple would need. But what really made our stay outstanding was the location, near the top of a hill outside Sapphire Bay.The view was magnificent. As soon as the sun came out, I would wander out to the porch and watch the sky paint highlights on the clouds over the bay. At night, the lights along the sides of the bay glittered like a crown. We were also surrounded by chickens, which wander freely all over the island. We could hear the roosters crowing if we left the doors and windows open. It made me feel like I was someplace else. Also, the unit is only about 5 minutes from the ferry to St. Johns, which is much less developed and frantic than St. Thomas. We went over several times and took cabs to the beach there. Overall, a delightful place to visit. It totally changed my mind about Caribbean vacations. Alan & Linda"

  • Beautiful condo and beach

"This condo was amazing. Not only was it right on the beach but the amenities were fantastic. Everything was immaculate. A/C worked great for the hot days (when not lounging on the beach). The kitchen had everything I have at home so cooking in was easy. So close to great restaurants, bars, and market in Redhook. We will definitely be going back to this unit in the future."

  • So good we came back!

"When needing a great place to stay on a budget - I thought immediately of "Condo Nightwind" in Sapphire Village. We stayed previously a few years earlier (2011) so I knew it would be a good choice for me and my friend visiting from San Francisco. The condo had a few renovations like new furniture and a great 55-inch flat screen tv wall mounted. I enjoyed the comfortable bedroom while my friend was on the couch. The closet had plenty of beach chairs and snorkel equipment - we did miss our "noodles" though! You just can't beat the location of this condo. You don't have to have a car - its walkable to the street for the $1 taxi's and walkable to Sapphire beach. Its also very close to the pool which is heaven in the late afternoon. I'd also recommend you do a daytrip on the "Nightwind" which is moored in the marina. The condo is owned by Rick and Cathy who live just upstairs if you need anything. The daysail on the "Nightwind" is the best of them all , and it will take you 2 minutes to walk to the boat from the condo. This is a comfortable nice place to stay and you cannot beat the price for the week. I have been coming to St.Thomas every year for about 5 years so I know. I've stayed in much more expensive accommodations and was'nt as comfortable and had problems with out of island owners - having A/C problems when the owner lives in New York isn't fun."
