  • Unbelievable Experience

"My husband and I had an absolutely amazing time staying at this beautiful condo in St. Thomas last month. We were there to celebrate his 50th birthday and we could not have picked a more idyllic place. It is truely paradise. The owner was great and leading up to our stay emailed and communicated about every detail of the place, surrounding area and answered all our questions so we were prepared for the trip/stay. Even though I had seen the pictures prior to arriving, I was awe struck from the moment I opened the door to the condo. The view is beyond breathtaking!! The deck has a great (grill and all) and I could not peel myself away from the beautiful beach and ocean just steps (literally 20 feet) from our deck. Each morning I woke to the most extraordinary sunrises coming up over St. John's. Speaking of St. John's...I was a little concerned how I was going to be with out renting a car on the island. In all honesty, with this condo you don't need a car. Red Hook with the fery terminal, restaurants, market, and THE BEST HAPPY HOURS is SO close. And most times I never wanted to leave sapphire all. The most beautiful water. The color is simply amazing. Just gorgeous. The snorkelling right outside our door and actually in the entire bay was just beautiful. My husband and I snorkelled 3 times each day. The arrray of fish and the coral and variety in the different areas of the bay made it so we could pass hours exploring below the water. I was thoroughly amazed we saw so many fish ... sting rays, white spotted eagle ray, turtles, cuttle fish, yellow tail snappers, puffer fish, parrot fish and the list goes on and on... I loves going to sleep to the sound of the water and waking to the glorious sunrises. The experience was incredible. We did enjoy going to St johns for a day and renting a car and visiting all the beaches. It was so easy to get there as the ferry to St Johns as I mentioned was so close and ran very frequently. We had a great day there and recommend it. Honesty though, the beach where we stayed was just as great. I particularly liked being in this condo: 1. it was on the ground floor which was fantastic for access to the water. If you stay on the upper levels you have to walk around the entire building to get down to the water. Much more convenient to be on the ground level. 2. This unit was much more private than the other units since it was the end of the property next to a marina. Highly recommend!!"

  • Absolutely Incredible!

"My husband and I had an absolutely fabulous vacation to St. Thomas last week! Point pleasant has the most beautiful views and the best part is this condo feels very private because of the way it's situated on the property. Everything in the condo was as stated and worked perfectly, but the views were even better than the pictures! Prior to our vacation Barbara was always responsive to my emails and helped me plan by answering all of my questions. The staff at Point Pleasant was very helpful with everything we needed while on vacation and the Shoreline Grille was great for the many times we just didn't feel like messing with leaving the property. The bartenders are fantastic!! Since Barbara pays the resort fees to allow her guests to use the amenities we were able to take advantage of the free snorkel gear for the week and were very happy we did! We also took advantage of the free shuttle to Red Hook many times. Make sure to ask where else you can shuttle for free and check out as many beaches as possible. Point Pleasant's very own, often overlooked, Sugar Beach was one of our favorites for it's privacy and excellent snorkeling, so don't be afraid to make the trek down there, it's worth it! We also went to Coki beach, Lindquist beach, Magen's Bay, and spent a day on St. John and loved every single place we visited for different reasons. If you like to explore and do something different every day of your vacation while still relaxing in one of the most beautiful places on Earth then this is the place to be and this condo is absolute perfection! (Side note: There are a lot of stairs, as others have noted. We didn't mind them at all as we're fairly young and in shape, so we didn't use the shuttle around the resort, but there is one if you need it!)"

  • Very very good

"The apartment was very beautiful. It was remodeled, mattress was very comfortable, bathroom was big enough for two. It is located nearby the marine restaurants which was great for us. It has a great view. The only setback was that some buildings in the complex are under construction. Great apartment."

  • Incredible!!!

"We had the most amazing stay at Carribean Castaway. The owners (Joanne & Ron) were easy to work with and the property managers, Dave and Dawn were very welcoming and very genuine! Our family had a blast and have so many memories while staying in this gorgeous and comfortable villa. We did our share of exploring the island & eating but the villa has everything...great views, an infinity pool, a beach with great snorkeling off their cove while listening to relaxing music while you chill, swim or snorkel. Chartered a catamaran named Altitude Adjustment to St. John (Brian - very cool dude & retired cop from CO who knows a ton of USVI history). Thanks you Joanne & Ron for sharing your incredible abode! Cannot wait to return again! Wish it was tomorrow!!! #besttripever"
