  • Well appointed, home away from home!

"This unit is very clean, and had everything we needed plus more! Having beach towels there for us was great! Plenty of space for our family of 4, we were very comfortable. Ground floor & close to the beach made relaxing so easy. The view and unit were better than we could have imagined! Easy to travel into Red Hook for groceries and a meal. Norma greeted us upon our arrival and checked in on us to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The beach was fabulous and the snorkeling was amazing! Overall, the unit was very clean, plenty of pots & pans, all beds were comfortable, great location and view, the grill was a plus, good parking, plenty of seating in the living room, and newer appliances. We were very pleased with everything you provided for us to enjoy, we will be returning!"

  • Wonderful Place!

"My husband and I spent 8 nights/7 days at this beautiful studio condo last week. It is in a great location, the views are gorgeous, and it is very easy to get to Red Hook and take the ferry to St. John. (If you're interested.) It is a short and easy walk to beautiful Sapphire Beach. There is snorkeling equipment and beach gear at the condo. The condo was perfect for the two of us. It was convenient to cook small meals in the kitchen. The balcony was great. We spent time looking out over the marina and ocean. Saw people parasailing, cruise ships traveling past to get to port, and watched the charters come and go with vacationers heading out to other islands or fishing. There is a restaurant/bar directly across from this condo in the next building up, and we had great meals there. Service was very good and prices reasonable. The locals were friendly and helpful with any questions we had about the area. Tom was fantastic to work with! He was prompt with answering any questions we had, he provided maps of the island, and details on getting to the condo from the airport. Very helpful! He would respond to my emails within a couple hours, if not sooner. We definitely recommend this location to anyone interested in spending time in beautiful St. Thomas."

  • Island sanctuary and luxury style

"This house is gorgeous and nestled snugly at the end of Deck Point Road with a western exposure ensuring a beautiful sunset every night which you can enjoy relaxing in the beautiful infinity pool. I can't speak highly enough about the owner and staff here--- they made sure we had what we needed and were available at all hours (which wasn't necessary during our stay but hey...good to know). The villa is stocked with basics and the housekeeper had everything we asked for ready for us upon arrival (thanks, Mary!). We spent much of our time on the outside deck or in the pool and it was breathtaking! Looking over some of the reviews here I feel the need to relay my experiences on some of the topics. We had no problem with the fridge keeping things cold. There were 6 of us (all 18 or older) and went in and out as we normally would with no issues. We kept drinks in ice chests in the kitchen as opposed to the fridge which made it that much easier when we wanted a cold one. The driveway is steeper than most are accustomed to. So? It's not like it is full of Ohio ice. I had no problem walking up and down even with 5 bags of groceries. This is a non factor unless you are truly physically limited. Being from Ohio I prefer generally cool temperatures. The air conditioning units are in all of the bedrooms and would get each room quite chilly (if you want them to be that way) while we slept. Perfect for me. There is no air in the main living space and, I have to admit, that made necessary many refreshing dips in the infinity pool. But listen----you're in the Caribbean! It is hot! I guarantee you the view from the balcony will more than make up for the lack of 70 degree temps in the living room! Gentle breezes and starlit nights beckon. It was a 20 minute walk to Cowpet Bay Beach. Other beaches are easy driving distances. Our big dilemma before we booked was do we want to be on the beach or up higher with beautiful views---take it from me the pictures you take from the balcony of Sans Sou Sea will be forever etched in your mind. This is an amazing villa. We are truly blessed that the owner has opened up his house to guests and would recommend this spot to anyone asking. The memories will last forever and the beauty will never fade. Do yourself a favor and experience island life at Sans Sou Sea!"

  • Great location, steps from the beach

"We stayed for 2 weeks over the Christmas and New Year holidays. Jerry is extremely easy to work with, gave really helpful information about the island, and was always available to help solve any issues. The property is right on Sapphire beach, and this unit is about as close as you can get to the water. The beach is very nice, and except for a couple days when there were 4 cruise ships in port, never got too crowded. There is a small bar/restaurant on the beach attached to the property next door, nothing fancy but they will deliver right to your beach chair. You have access to free loungers as a guest of the property. About the snorkleing, I've seen several reviewers say that they didn't see much. This is certainly true if you stay right on the shoreline. You have to go out maybe 50-100 yards, and then you will see every kind of fish you could imagine. I went out almost every day, and was never disappointed. My favorites were the sea turtles and the Spotted rays, which are really majestic, appearing to fly through the water. The condo itself is very basic, but had everything we needed. It could use an update for sure, but for the price, I felt that we got a good deal. Having 2 bathrooms was really great for our family of 4. The plumbing can be a bit problematic, one toilet needs to be repaired (a repairman came by and looked at it, said it needed a part, then we never saw him again). As one other reviewer mentioned, the stove only has 2 burners that light automatically, the other 2 require a match. Norma will change your sheets and towels if you ask, but I get the feeling she is really overworked, as a couple times she said she was going to come by, but didn't manage until the next day. Probably a symptom of the fact we were there during the busiest 2 weeks of the year. The property is really close to Red Hook, but you can't walk, it's way too dangerous on the road. You will need a rental car, or figure out the rather chaotic public transit. Taxis are a complete ripoff, island wide. Bottom line, this is a great rental. Not luxurious, but hard to beat the price for a beachfront location. Owner is easy to work with and responsive."
