  • An Adventurous and Spectacular Way to Experience the Virgin Islands!

"We recently returned from an amazing week-long charter on the Bel Ami with Captain Dave and Bobbie Rae. We booked the vacation almost a year ago to celebrate our 10th anniversary. In the time between booking and arrival, we had several conversations with Dave about our interests, concerns and desires for the trip. Without exception, the vacation lived up to all of our expectations. Captain Dave enthusiastically greeted us at the airport, brought us to the Bel Ami and we were off and sailing within an hour or two of landing. The first day was spent orienting ourselves to the boat and seeing how we adjusted to sailing. Captain Dave took great care to gauge our aclimation to sea life (I wore a trans-dermal patch, my wife did not). We spent the remainder of the day snorkeling (with Captain Dave as a fantastic guide), eating and relaxing. The rest of the week was spent sailing, snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, eating, drinking and enjoying life to its highest potential. We visited twelve different islands in seven days. We indicated several places that we wanted to visit, but based on numerous reviews, we allowed Dave to tailor the trip to our interests using his vast knowledge of the Virgin Islands. We were blessed with fantastic weather and favorable winds. We went to the Baths on Virgin Gorda, but Captain Dave was experienced enough to check the cruise boat schedule to make sure we didn't share the site with hordes of people from the massive boats. It was a special pleasure to jump into the perfect, azure water to swim to shore on Sandy Spit and Sandy Cay, and an even more special experience to then have Captain Dave bring our towels, camera and sandals to shore in the Bel Ami's dinghy. Captain Dave offered advise on hikes to take and was polite enough to ask if we wanted to go on our own or with him as a guide. The same was true of meals. We ate many meals together as a foursome, but we were offered as many private romantic meals as we wanted. And the food! Captain Dave is a fantastic cook. The meals were varied and excellent. He had emailed a detailed food preference questionnaire prior to arrival and he tailored our meals to the information we provided. For instance, my wife made special mention of her love of corn, and there it was in our first meal. The attention to detail is amazing. If a sailing vacation has ever been on your bucket list, then this the boat to take and these are the people to take you."

  • Stunning

"My husband and I had the good fortune to spend 4 weeks at Peter and Beverly's absolutely beautiful condo on Sapphire Beach. Our late evening arrival made it difficult to get a good look at our surroundings but upon opening the door to the condo we walked into the beautifully decorated condo that appears exactly as it does on the VRBO website. The kitchen is fully stocked with every utensil and gadget you can think of, as well as dinnerware, glassware, pots and pans. We used the small George Foreman for steaks, burgers, hotdogs, chops, etc. We had most of our meals in house and with the full size frig it was easy to stock up for a week at a time. Baths were more than adequate as well - great water pressure and shower heads, and Redken hair products. Those may seem like silly comments but how many times have you stayed somewhere with a lousy shower? The views from the two decks are simply indescribable. The water is gorgeous, you can see the marina and watch the boats move in and out; Shark Island, St. John, and many other islands are part of the landscape. We saw many weddings on the point as it is a beautiful venue for a memorable day. Building E is prime for views and privacy. We also preferred to be on the upper floors as it assured complete quiet (except for the sound of the surf) and privacy. The condo itself is exactly what I would want if I were so fortunate to have a vacation home. The decorating is up to date and isn't a throwback to the 80's or 90's. In two words - tasteful and classy. Comfortable and relaxing as well. I just can't say enough. We spent the day at St. John and would highly recommend. Enjoyed the ferry ride over and be sure and sit upstairs on the deck outside. Shopped at Havensight (okay) and had a manicure at The Four Seasons (beautiful grounds but not our style). Too foo-foo for us. The grounds at Sapphire are beautiful and natural to island life. Had dinner at Pesce's and Fish Tails. Great meal at Pesce's and the location at Fish Tails is great - you're right on the water. We were blessed with perfect weather for all four weeks; high 83, lows 73-76; rained at night a few times. Breezy. We hated to leave Sapphire and have been home for a week. We had such a wonderful time we are going back next year for another 4 weeks! Peter and Beverly are so easy to work with and always available to assist with any question you might have. We highly, highly recommend this property!!!"

  • Had what we were looking for at a great price!

"We wanted more modest and casual vacation lodging than we had at the Ritz Carlton three years before. We found it at more than 1/2 the price and we saved more money having a kitchen and front load washer and dryer. The kitchen had what we needed to prepare breakfast and a few simple meals. The beach view from the screened deck was beautiful and the beach was small, clean and not busy. We never swam at that beach nor the pool because we were busy touring throughout the island, BVI and St. John. We booked two boat trips at the sport shack on the beach and both were reasonably priced and professional. We never used the fitness center or hot tub at the Elysian but saw there was access available. We ate at two of the beach restaurants and as usual found the service to be very nice. Mr. Miller was friendly and helpful and even carried our trash away. He was very helpful with giving us logistical information during our stay. I would defiantly recommend renting a car if you stay here. Red Hook is 5 minutes away for grocery shopping, restaurants, and ferry."

  • Perfect Paradise Dream Villa !

"We just returned from St. Thomas. The Paradise Dream Villa was perfect inside and out! The view is absolutely beautiful! The location is in a perfect area, it gives you the peace and quite, the privacy, and the sense of pure paradise with its spectacular view. The house is well equipped with everything you need, from the kitchen, pool, beach supplies, and even accommodating for young kids. A car is a must, we explored all over St. Thomas, went to Red Hook which is near by (shopping/restaurants/Ferry), to the beaches, took the ferry over to St. John. The caretaker was great, her husband met us at the airport and escorted us to the villa. He gave us a good rundown on the area and recommendations of all the exciting things in St. Thomas. Steve was a pleasure to work with, immediate replies/responses to any questions you have via email or phone. You will not be disappointed, this place is Perfect!"
