  • First Class

"First let me say this about Shelby Resorts - They were super nice and VERY helpful. They upgraded us to the Margaritaville Resort at their suggestion and cost due to our circumstances. They did not have to but we are so happy they did. THANK YOU! We will book with them whenever we can because of they way we were treated. NOW Margaritaville on St Thomas. What a beautiful resort! The pictures do not do the resort justice. The view into the water/Bay and out to the other islands is fantastic. Its the views you see on the TV channels. The rooms are very nicely decorated in the Buffet Theme and if your a Parrot Head like my wife and I it was even neater. Our room was perfectly located. FREE laundry room next door (and never heard any noise from it). We could walk thru the laundry room and we at the hot tub, pool, pool bar, or restaurant and beach within a few foot steps. How we got this room I do not know but we will ask for it again. Room 2105 but don't book that room we want it again! A few things we found as negatives were the fact that housekeeping only comes once a week (not sure if that is due to this being a time share or other reason) Took a little adjustment but the staff was very willing to bring extra towels and such upon request. Also the bars close at 10 on the resort and although we are not wild and crazy party animals, this was too early for us and almost all we spoke to. We went into Red Hook a lot and would have enjoyed coming back to our resort for a night cap after 10. Hopefully they will change this, It is my understanding that staff is asking management to do it as well. Speaking of the staff, we have not found any to be more friendly and accommodating during any of our travels else where. The resort is not the wild and crazy loud Jimmy Buffet party style you might think. It is a beautiful resort with plenty of activities for family and adults including a beautiful beach and pool. We were very pleased and are still talking about this trip. In fact my wife texted me about an hour ago and said "Wish we were still on the Island" Thank You Shelby Resorts!!!!!"

  • Ten days in paradise!

"First of all, I can’t say enough good things about the hospitality of John McLeod. As I flew to St. Thomas on August 8, the day Delta Airlines had their worldwide outage, my two flights were both delayed by several hours. I didn’t arrive at Sapphire Village until 9:00 pm. After a day of rough travel, I was pleasantly surprised to find that John had stocked the kitchen with breakfast goodies as he knew I would arrive too late in the day to grocery shop. Unit 182 in the Domenica Building has everything anyone could want or need for their vacation; a spectacular view from the balcony, a beautiful pool nearby, and a gorgeous beach for those who want to snorkel the reef or just enjoy the water. As chaise lounges are no longer for rent on the beach, the unit has two beach chairs for your use. The unit is on the third floor but with only one flight of stairs. The kitchen is stocked with all the necessary appliances; the bed is comfortable; and, it is only a 5-10 minute walk to the beach. Beach towels are even provided. A car is not necessary unless you plan to drive the island. You can take the safari bus for $1 to downtown, or a taxi ride to Red Hook is only $5.00. As a fish lover, I got my fill at these Red Hook restaurants: Pesce’s, Fish Tails, and Molly Molone’s. Had some delicious grilled grouper and mahi mahi. For food shopping, there is Moe’s Market (formerly Marina Market) which has a large selection, a wine department, and an excellent salad bar. Prices are high compared to the States, but you have to remember everything is shipped in. A return trip to St. Thomas is a must and I highly recommend staying at John McLeod’s Unit 182 in the Domenica Building."

  • Excited to be Back Again!

"We were excited to be able to return to St. Thomas for another island get-away, and looking forward to our stay at this unit, in particular! The staff make you feel right at home and the grounds, amenities and atmosphere create the perfect location for a family getaway. The condo is spacious and well appointed. I appreciated the convenience of the in-suite washer/dryer, enabling us to pack a little lighter. The kitchenette allowed us the flexibility to eat "at home"; while the proximity to the Grand Palazzo Club and Coconut Cove offered great on-property dining options. In addition to the spacious pool and beautiful beach to play on, our children love the sand art and ring toss, and seeing the iguanas walk around the resort, too! We can't wait to go back :-)"
