  • Beautiful private getaway

"My husband and I have always stayed in resorts when visiting the Caribbean. This was our first time doing VRBO on St Thomas (done several times in the States), and we will not go back to resorts! It was so nice having your own pool and privacy! The on-property restaurant, Lime, is phenomenal....Sunday brunch, Monday night Sushi and killer drinks! Having the restaurant on property really helps because who wants to cook & clean on vacation! Word of advice, Lime doesn't open until 4 pm Mon-Sat, except Sun. brunch. We got our groceries at Moe's market vs. TuTu Plaza. It is a little more pricey, but you can get everything there and it's only mile down the road on the Safari bus stop ($1 pp), so much easier. The travel from the airport when you first get in is a little longer than expected (25-30 mins) because they book the cabs, vans & taxis to capacity and you go wherever the longest drive is first. Cost is $30-$40 pp. Sapphire beach is a two minute walk from the property and free. It's also absolutely gorgeous! Red Hook Ferry is a quick Safari Bus ride away. If you have the time to Island hop, check out St. John's. Cute little village like area with several great bars and restaurants right on Cruz Bay! Last piece of advice is to bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. The island has feral chickens running around everywhere. They're not dangerous, but can be annoying and cockadoodledoo even in the middle of the night. It didn't wake me up, but was constantly waking my husband up."

  • Great view, secluded location, with access to resort amenities!

"Brian and I loved our stay at Barbara's beautiful condo! Great views of the bay and other islands - you almost feel like you have the resort to yourself! The place itself is well-maintained and has everything you need for your stay: full kitchen, beach chairs you can borrow, and even a blender so you can make your own cocktails! We loved having breakfast on the balcony and taking in the views before beginning our day. Barbara also pays the resort fees so you have access to: free shuttles to redhook, clean beach towels, snorkel gear, and access to a great resort staff. We also loved having access to 3 pools on site and 3 beaches within walking distance (4 if you include swimming). Highly recommend for anyone wanting the convenience of a resort with the independence of a homeaway stay!"
