  • Beautiful place!

"St. Thomas is so gorgeous! The breeze and sound the ocean made was so soothing so we left the big sliding doors open during the day. It was a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this particular villa. The view is amazing. The staff was very prompt when we asked for extra towels which we appreciated greatly."

  • Even better 2nd time around

"This is the 2nd year in a row that we have stayed at Palmera. The place is fantastic. Every room is gorgeous and the outside pool area is amazing. Room for outdoor dining, swimming and sun bathing, or just lounging around. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked. House is so close to Magens Bay or even Linquist Beach. Each bedroom has an amazing master bathroom. The stereo system is top notch. The owners have spared no expense. We appreciated all the little things this house has like beach chairs, coolers, grill, laundry room, binoculars and even spices. Amazing."

  • The Ludwig Wedding at Blue Serenity

"The house was truly amazing. We brought 2 families together for our family of 10 and getting married at Secret Harbor was a magical week. The week at the house was really a highlight and helped unite us. It was so much easier to have our family at the house rather than a hotel. We had our dinners and early morning breakfast there and made life really easy. We had never done a house type stay for vacation, but will return for sure."

"We absolutely loved Villa Encantada and plan to go back! Our trip included three generations: grandparents, parents and 2 kids, aged 6 and 7, so only 6 people for a 4,500 square feet, extremely spacious and well designed home. We had more than enough space, so we never felt on top of each other or lacked privacy. We could have had two other couples with us and still would have had enough space. The location was absolutely perfect. It was a great base of operation, whether we wanted to go snorkeling (Megan's Bay, Coki Beach), shop or grab the ferry at Red Hook or go sailing. We made numerous trips to the grocery stores (Pueblo's / Fruit Bowl) and food stands for fresh fruits and vegetables and cooked almost every night. The kitchen has every appliance, dish, pot, spoon, etc. needed, so meal preparation was easy. The table for 8 was perfect as well and the open floor plan created a great family area where we were all within eye-sight, but doing our own things. PROS: Location, views, space, amenities, tons of decking, speakers throughout the house and outside, privacy, vegetation, proximity to grocery stores and shopping in Charlotte Amalie, BBQ grill, pool, feeling of safety, washer/dryer, towels, binoculars, blender, dishes, gourmet kitchen, air conditioners in bedrooms, on-site caretaker, wonderful and kind owners, too many to name! CONS: need to label light switches (hee hee), no A/C in the living room (These were not bothersome, but there has to be at least one con in paradise, right?) The grandparents had a really hard time finding the “hidden” driveway. We had to keep reminding them to use Google Maps. This is what I actually liked about the villa – it’s secluded, even though it’s 1200 feet above Charlotte Amalie. Also, please note, there are two listings in VRBO and one shows the villa in Charlotte Amalie, even though the description tells you it’s 1200 feet above it. As a result, there was some confusion about the ability to “walk” to town, but this isn’t really viable. You absolutely need a car. (KEEP LEFT!) You can’t really walk anywhere from the house since the roads are extremely narrow and it’s dangerous and with the hills, it’s practically impossible. I actually liked this, because of the seclusion in the midst of the city. Thanks Bill and Brit for sharing your beautiful home with us!,-64.9434875,17z/"
