  • Heaven ...

"There is nothing but beauty you see as soon as you drive thru the gated entrance. The view of the bay is stunning. You have immediate access to the soft sandy beach from just a few steps from the house. Just prepare to take short showers due to not slot of hot water. And the mattresses need updating but other than that, this is the best vacation home on Megan's Bay, hands down. I no longer need to search for my vacation house to rent... Thank you Annika!!!"

  • Lush, Tropical Paradise

"The "Cottage" turned out to be the caribbean paradise I was dreaming about. The lush, tropical feel one would expect in a rain forest along with the view of Megan's bay was magnificant. What a place to call your own for several weeks. We actually stayed for three weeks and should have booked longer. The "Cottage" is well stocked with everything you need so don't bring bring anything other than your clothes. They have beach chairs, beach towels, cooler and everything you need including the hair dryer, washing machine and dryer. The view at daybreak and the setting sun is breathtaking. Distant noices of dogs barking or roosters crowing are noticable in the late afternoon but the noices are from a distance and not close by the cottage. The cottage is surrounded on all sides by lush greenry so you free secluded and at peace. One of the reasons why I chose this site is they allowed my small dog to accompany us. And she (Remi) had a wonderful time on the large expansive deck chasing small lizards although she never caught one. Hull Bay is close by and we found it to be a small friendly local beach where we went snorkling. Remi was also allowed on the beach and could run up and down the sandy shore line without being on a leash. You will need a car to travel around the island since this location in high in the hills and not close to any stores. So, remember you will be driving on the left side of the road which didn't create any problems for us. The terrain is a little steep and it might take you a couple of days to feel comfortable with driving around the sharp curves on the roads. But, we didn't seem to have any problems with this. If you are accustomed to an air conditioned resort room, this might not be your place. The only time we were a little uncomforabel was from 3 to 5 in the afternnon. Other than that, the cottage was wonderful."

  • Honeymoon Experience

"We had a blast during our week long stay in St. Thomas at this vrbo. We decided to opt against the all-inclusive options to save money and to explore the island and get a better taste of the culture. If you are looking to literally sit on a beach and not move on your trip, this isn't your vrbo spot. But what we liked about this choice with Jason and Dee was that we were able to really explore. We spent one day at Maegan's Bay (5-10 min drive). We spent one day at the Ritz getting massages and hanging there (10 min drive). We spent 1 day at St. John (10 min drive to ferry). We spent 1 day at Lindquist Beach (5 min drive). We spent one day at Frenchman's Reef (10 min drive). We spent a day ziplining (it was, meh.) Notice the theme? Everything is pretty convenient. Pluses: - The views each morning were awesome. - We used the hot tub every night. It was so nice. - Jason and Dee are SUPER friendly. Jason even helped me change a flat tire in our rental car (if you plan to explore, we recommend getting a rental vs. taxi's. It may be a tad more, but it's more convenient). They also provided great recommendations about the island and were very prompt in every response. They helped us get a good sense of the culture, too, which we liked. Minuses: - Not much here, but if I were to be nitpicky, the road noise off the house is a bit loud. - If you want to eat every meal in and cook yourself, this is not the place to do it. We cooked a few meals, getting local fish from Fish Tales and heading to the market, but it's a tight, ill-equipped kitchen. That said, you want to eat out if you can -- We LOVED Mafolie restaurant (5 min drive) and Havana Blue. - It's an experience getting in and out of the house property with the gate and the hill. There are no shoulders on the roads, really, so you just have to focus when you drive. - The snorkel gear isn't the best, so plan on renting some if you really will snorkel a lot. The beach chairs and towels were great, though. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay with Jason and Dee. We saved a lot of money going this route, had good access to the island, slept well on the nice bed, had wifi at our disposal if we needed it, etc. Highly recommend: Maegan's Bay, Trunk Bay, hiking to Waterlemon Cay on St. John's, Annaburg Ruins, Havana Blue Restaurant, strong drinks at Fat Turtle, getting a car rental."

  • Our new home!

"My wife and I, along with friends, stayed at this condo for the first time. We have stayed in others but this one is far better than the others! First it is in a very secluded place at Mahogany Run. Away from everyone and no traffic whatsoever. Second of all it is very well supplied with anything you could ever need. They even had new beach chairs and umbrellas for us. The kitchen was great with LOTS of room for four to work at once, large living room to relax in, large bedrooms with private baths and a great deck to go out and have an evening meal or just read a book. They even had maid service!!! We honestly can't say anything bad about this place. It will be the ONLY place we rent again on our yearly returns to the island."
