  • Beautiful and Terrific Location!!

"This villa lived up to all expectations. Views from every window with beautiful breezes! The owners made the process very easy. It felt like home for the week. Perfect location- we did daily excursions and picked dinner up on the way "home".... pool was terrific for our girls to splash in when we got back. Kitchen well equipped. Bedrooms good size and comfortable. Bathrooms clean. Overall great experience!!"

  • Wonderful perch on the north coast of St. Thomas

"Perched on the north coast of St. Thomas, Aqua Vista affords a dramatic, watery overlook of Drake's Passage. As advertised, the house is spacious and comfortable and well-appointed, especially the kitchens. If you rent both levels, you get the benefit of two kitchens, which may be especially useful for holiday celebrations. The villa is located on the Peterborg peninsula which lies between the ocean and Magen's Bay. The beach at Magen's, a mere five minutes by car, is reputed to be one of the best beaches in the world and our experience there did not disappoint. Perhaps what makes Aqua Vista exceptional more than anything was our host's hospitality, which began well before our trip. She sends emails that are chock full of advice about how best to enjoy St. Thomas. For example, her advice to rent a car was critical, because St. Thomas is so hilly and the roads are so narrow that walking or biking anywhere is out of the question. She also arranges to escort you to the house on arrival because many of the roads on the island are poorly marked. It takes a few days to get a feel for how to get from point A to point B on the island. She also provides a printable "Welcome Guide" loaded with tips and resources for enhancing your stay in the islands. She promises to be available as much or as little as her guests would like and she backs up that promise. For example, she loaned us some items that she expected would be hard for us to find on the island. When we had trouble figuring out how to work one of the TVs, she answered our phone call immediately and helped us troubleshoot and solve the problem. In short, we would definitely recommend Aqua Vista. (Side note: In general, Verizon Wireless subscribers should expect to have no service while away from wifi on St. Thomas. Aqua Vista has reliable wifi for email and internet service. You may also be able to call and text while at the house, but it will be via cell towers in the nearby British Virgin Islands, thus incurring international roaming charges. So, plan to stay in airplane mode while at the house, or use a work-around like WhatsApp or a phone that has a different provider. You could also purchase Verizon's Travel Pass at $10 per day per phone for each day you use international roaming.)"

  • Blissful location. Comfortable house.

"We escape the worst of Maine winters at St. Somewhere. Going home to 17* temps. We didn't stay long enough!"

  • Spring break 2017

"Words are not enough to describe the Villa Papillon, it is even more spectactular in person, and the pictures are incredible. You have to experience the winds blowing off the water, the waves crashing below, the sun beaming on your face, and the stars glowing at night. This was our site for our Spring break vacation, with three teenagers who love the water. It is a good spot since it is only about 20 minutes from Red Hook, where we had excursions from ( diving, snorkeling and boating around the USVI and BVI. Everyone was very nice and professional, from Linda ( the owner) to Warren( the driver )to Doreen ( the housekeeper). The house is " a home" with so many great books to peruse, we never had our TV's on in our bedrooms, we just sat out side in the hot tub, or in the living room and talked and relaxed. It was a perfect vacation, for relaxing and experiencing St thomas & St john. You were close enought to town to experience the " tourist spots" but were just remote enough to feel like you were in paradise. We all enjoyed the Villa Papillon, and would recommend it to all."
