  • Surpassing our highest expectations!

"We rented both sides of Salty Sway for family guests attending our daughter’s wedding in the Blue Sandcastle Villa across the street. One side accommodated a family of 2 adults with 2 teens and 2 small children. The other side, 4 adults, 2 teens. There are ample sleeping areas and beds. Ingrid, the owner, provided a crib, child’s bed, highchair, car seat, booster seat. The two bathrooms in each side, have been renovated and are beautiful. There are plenty of linens including beach towels. The kitchen is fully equipped and items are brand new. The floor plans in each side are identical and provide lots of space. Air conditioning throughout keeps things cool. The location on the bluffs and views overlooking the sea were incredible. The expansive decks are private, sunny, there is a covered area with outdoor table and chairs. There’s patio furniture, and hammock. Stairway leads down to a rocky beach with access to outstanding snorkeling and is close enough to swim to a neighboring sandy beach at Limetree Resort which is also within easy walking distance. Renting cars is really a must. One family did not, and found getting around impossible for 6 people. They ended up renting a car. Ingrid made arrangements for car rental and cars were delivered to front door. Abi beach is walkable only for the rugged 30-somethings and under, and then, only when the trail is dry. The neighborhood is fairly remote. Jimmy the taxi driver was awesome! He picked up everyone at the airport and got them back in time to catch their flights*. When needed, he arrived on time and was reasonably priced. However, taxis are not metered and are expensive for more than one person. You pay (on average) $15 per person, each way, which can equate to a $60 round trip ride for 2 going to and from the airport or Red Hook ferry. Triple that for 6 people ($180). NOTE: *Allow 3 hours to arrive at airport with checked bags…no joke! Don't bring alcohol. It is the same price as back home and Ingrid can get whatever you want. Ordering food for delivery was expensive, but good for having a few staples upon our arrival. Local grocery stores are close and have everything you need. Do bring snacks as they are expensive here. Fruits and vegetables, especially avocados, are readily available and only slightly more expensive than back home. This was a wonderful place, well appointed, roomy, private, and quiet. Ingrid and Austin were invaluable with their suggestions and help."

  • St Thomas

"Our stay was everything we hoped for. We spent most of our time at Abi beach. I would advise to arrange for a rental car prior to arrival. Hope to return!"

  • Perfect Seaside Cottage!

"So grateful to have found this cottage at the last minute! Hubby and I needed accommodations for 15 days and didn't relish a hotel/tourist environment. This was perfect- 8 minute walk/1 minute drive to LimeTree beach below at the Bluebeards Wyndham property, which had a great open air restaurant and pub! With the open kitchen/living area, covered deck, 2 baths and 2 large bedrooms-- there was plenty of space. The owner was very attentive via phone to make sure we had everything we needed. Wifi didn't work at first, but he had that amended within 10 minutes. We enjoyed waking up and watching from the deck, the cruise ships approaching Charlotte Amalie harbor ( and leaving, all lit up at night). The location was fantastic- central, 10 minutes into town. Clean appliances, bathrooms, nice furniture and large tv! I also enjoyed the wildlife around the house- kitty cat, chickens, pretty birds on the deck, 1 large resident iguana always in the tree out back. Thank You, Robert!"
