  • Best Vacation Ever.

"My best friend and rented this house for our one big vacation we take a year. Our first trip to St. Thomas/USVI!!! We had a wonderful time and the Seascape cottage played a huge role in that. Owner and property manager were both reasonably responsive to any questions or issues we had. The only major complaint we had was that the cable and internet didn't work during our stay which was more of a problem with the service provider, than the house itself. But other than that it had everything we needed. The location is perfect. We rented a car (corolla, no we didn't need 4x4 for this house, but some houses had literally vertical driveways). Its about 10 minutes from Charlotte Amalie and 10 minutes from Red Hook. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe where the house is. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils for any cooking you might want to do. My best advice is to go to KMart for your food and supplies. I wish we had done that first. The beach that is within walking distance of the house (Lime Tree at Bluebeard's Resort) is great although we didn't spend much time there as we had a goal of seeing 10 beaches in 10 days. Bluebeard's had little activities like Bingo and Movie night each night so we would go down there for that at the end of the day. Drinks are cheap, food is expensive literally everywhere. Bring the beach chairs from the house because every beach you'll go to almost will charge you $5-$10 per chair to rent them. The view from the deck on the house is the perfect spot to have your coffee in the morning and start your day right and then have dinner at night while you watch the sun set and cruise ships head out. I could go on for hours about this trip and all the tips we learned along the way but half of the fun was figuring it out. We had the time of our lives on this vacation and we can't wait to come back!!!!"

  • Amazing stay at the Blue Sand Castle!

"We just returned from a five night stay at the Blue Sand Castle. Six adults and eight kids under the age of 14 and we had plenty of room. Upon arrival the place was very clean and we were amazed at the view from the pool deck and the balcony. Ingrid and Austin were great hosts and gave us many recommendations on what we should take in on the island and excellent dining options. I would recommend a day spent at Abi beach and a dinner at Fish Tails if you feel like venturing off of the property. They also set us up on a day long boat tour where we stopped at various locations to snorkel with the fish and sea turtles. This was such a great experience for our kids! We did not want to rent vehicles on the island so Ingrid recommended we use their driver Jimmy to take us to and from all of the various activities we wanted to do and he was great as well! I would highly recommend a stay at the Blue Castle!"

  • Beautiful mountain retreat with nice views of cruise ships coming and going

"Love the gate, the deck, the bathrooms and the bedrooms and the layout of the living space. Every time I rent a home in St. Thomas I miss my comfortable furniture in the living room and Hawk Hill was no exception. Maybe owners feel guests aren't in need of this feature but after a day of hiking, swimming, drinking and riding in the rental jeep up and down bumpy roads, I need an upholstered resting spot. While the two bedrooms were very comfortable, no one in my family could sleep on the sofa bed, it caused back spasms. Overall, I would recommend Hawk Hill for a family of four, it was well supplied and offered plenty of space for a fun vacation. My son is a bartender at Havana Blue and it was a quick ride for the best drinks and food on the island. We also love Abi Beach and Hawk Hill was minutes away. Thank you for a great vacation at Christmas, no air conditioning needed, the breeze was amazing!"

  • Great house

"Villa Mas was great. Mike was a nice guy. He met us at the airport to show us how to get to the house. I will give you a breakdown: Pros 1. The house is exactly as pictured 2. AC in all rooms of the house. Including living areas and kitchen. Many houses only have ac in the bedrooms. Watch out for this if you choose another house. It would have been very hot even with the breeze blowing through the house. 3. Beds are very comfortable. 4. Outdoor kitchen and sound system 5. Mike lives next door so if you need anything he is not too far away. 6. The view is great. You can see other islands, mountains and the ocean. 7. Open living areas with current technology. Wifi, flat screen tvs, and modern appliances. 8. Plenty of towels. Beach and house towels. 9. Mike also rents charters on one of his two boats on request for an additional fee. I think it is a little below market price for his guest. We did not use him because we had a friend that lives on the island with a connection . 10. The Marriott did not care if we used their chairs. This may have been seasonal. We were there at low season. The Marriott Frenchman Cove was the beach in front of the house. In my opinion this was the best beach on St Thomas that we went to. Including Magen’s Bay. The food was terrible at the Marriot Cons: 1. We never walked to the beach but looks further than a 5 minute walk. This was common in our search due to the topography of the island. This is one of the one of the closest walks we saw. It is a pretty easy drive but parking is difficult. It is free but there are very few spaces. You can park at the Marriott but it is usually full. Also most of the parking lots have the same entrance and exit meaning you will have to do a lot of backing up if it is full. This happened numerous times on the island. Tips: 1. Bring your own snorkel and mask. 2. Bring cheap blow up floats from the dollar store that you can throw away. 3. The ferry is a little intimidating but the trip to St. John is worth it. 4. We shopped at the Pueblo Market for food. They have almost everything you need except for fresh meats. They have some, but probably not the quality you’re used to in the states. We were here for 4 nights and would not have eaten the hamburger meat on the third night. Get steaks and chicken elsewhere, if possible."
