  • Cowpet Bay West Condo

"We loved our stay in Carla's beautiful condo. The beds were super comfortable and the furnishings were great. Loved the architectural details of the building with the arched doors and the big solid bedroom doors. The balcony was super big with the best view. We had a wonderful dinner on the balcony one evening. Did not get to use the bbq grill but would have loved to grill out if we had the time. Marcella the housekeeper was very friendly and accomodating as well. The restaurants in the complex were awesome. The grocery store in Redhook had everything you could want probably twice the cost of the US though. There was another food store west on 32 heading to the airport that I heard was less expensive. The grounds were beautiful the only drawback is they don't have privileges to the pool at the Elysian although our sister was staying there so we piggybacked into the pool with her key. Great pool bar and the bartender David was very informative. The ferry to St John was convenient and well worth the price to visit the island. We took the car ferry and the only caveat is returning you may have to wait since the ferry gets busy at around 4 pm. Would highly recommend Carla's condo and she was very responsive by email if we had any questions, we would love to return if we have the opportunity."

  • Beautiful views, very nice condo.

"Let me just start with a few cons, the "Guide to Relaxation" that is included which gives you a lot of needed information about your stay is awesome BUT it is not up to date, I tried to contact 2 people on there that are no longer associated with this condo, and it should be updated. Second, there are no clean towels after you use them and no maid service unless you pay for it, so plan on using them again, bringing extra or going to launder them. Third, if you get a rental car do yourself a favor and pay the extra for the jeep, the hills are so steep and if you do see regular cars around they're usually beat up pretty bad from the roads. We found ourselves traveling to St John quite a bit for the hiking, snorkeling and shops/bars, if we go back we would probably stay there. But there is also a lot to do on St Thomas but we just preferred St John. Now for the good stuff, this condo is gorgeous and has a breathtaking view, it was so nice to wake up to and listening to the ocean is one of my favorite things about it. It can get pretty warm at night and the ceiling fans in there are not that powerful, the memory foam mattress had us sweating a few times, so I guess it depends what time of year you go. The resort is beautiful also but the parking lot is full of potholes, hopefully they will be updated, I liked the fact that there was security at entrance and patrolling the facility also. The only other suggestion I have is maybe you could install a cascading blind on the balcony above the hammock to block the light from the patio across the way, when you are sitting on the balcony at night and trying to enjoy it the light from their balcony interfered with it. All in all again it's a beautiful condo. It was worth the money."

  • Unique, amazing, relaxing trip. Great vehicle to celebrate life, love and friendship

"This was truely a relaxing adventure with world class new friends. My partner and I spent a week aboard the Bel Ami early November. From the time we landed in St.Thomas until we took off, we were pampered by Captain Dave and Admiral Bobby Rae. They anticipated our needs, from suggesting hikes, taking us to beautiful snorkling spots, to cooking gourmet meals, and surprising us with delicious drinks. Although not new to the boating world, our accomadations exceeded our expectations. We had plenty privacy in our relatively spacious quarter, and enjoyed the efficiency of the amenities on board. We often left it up to Captain Dave to decide where to set his sails, and he never took short cuts, and every place we visited was charming, and some were really magical. We were looking at spending a week, reliving some of my boyfriend's early memory, and celbrating our love, and friendship. We wanted a laid back escapade indulging in the beauty of the Carribean. Bel ami, Captain David, and Admiral Bobby Rae delivered this and more."
