  • Fantastic Family Vacation

"We stayed here ( my husband and myself along with our 2 young adult children) in May. After reading all the positive reviews I knew this was the right place for us to stay. This was our first trip to Costa Rica and our first non resort stay. All I can say is, it was well above our expectations and all of us still talk about how great our stay was. Estaban is a terrific host, he is alway there to give suggestions and any guidance you might need. He arranged our rental car which was at a great price. Take his advise and get the gps. The villas are splendid, so clean and comfortable, we all slept great on very comfortable mattresses. His house cleaning staff does a wonderful job keeping the rooms clean and will do your laundry for a very small fee. His property is in a very small town full of very kind people, we were always greeted with a wave and a smile. A dip in the pool is very refreshing on hot days. It was so nice and relaxing to not be in a main tourist hub but close enough to the sites you want to see. He arranged a tour at an animal rescue for us which we highly recommend. We did a half day horse ride and an atv ride to some very private hot springs with Dany as our guide, your awesome Dany! . You must do both! The horses are so gentle and very well trained. We loved our daily visit by the family dog, gypsy. Hansel, who works at the barn and around the property is so kind and always availability to answer any questions. We can not wait to plan a return trip, the views from our villa on the hill are amazing and the feeling of true tranquility fills you."

  • Private stay close to La Fortuna

"Dave and I stayed at this nice cabin in March for two nights. You are in the middle of the jungle just off the road south to La Fortuna. Plenty of space inside the cabin with nice storage for your clothes and items, including a large safe for valuables. The kitchen is very large with a huge refrigerator and table for four. I loved the huge kind bed, but didn't like the plastic covering underneath the sheets because it was noisy and uncomfortable. Also loved the grounds with the beautiful landscaping and your own freshwater, cool swimming area in the fresh springs. We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch. Wifi was also nice. There is a gated driveway which makes you feel safe with your stay. No AC but there are ceiling fans and two smaller fans for you to use. Clean and comfortable!!! Very nice place!"

  • Nice Stay in Tambor

"We were here 4 weeks and had 28 straight days of perfect weather, not a drop of rain and great temperatures from the mid 60's at night to the low 80's in the afternoon. As our arrival was pretty late at night Victoria arranged for a driver Francisco Molina, to pick us up at the airport and her sister was there to meet us at the house and go over all the details. They were all very accommodating to our late flight. Francisco was bilingual, professional and punctual and proved invaluable to us the first few days and I would recommend him to anyone traveling in the area, especially if it is your first time here. Victoria's home was very clean and just like described. We were working from the house via computer about 1/2 the days and the internet proved to be very reliable. A little slow but adequate for our VOIP phones. Traffic was the same as any big city but you have to watch out for the motorcycles. The home is located near all types of shopping & dining locations including the big new mall so all the necessities are near by. This was a great central location to visit other parts of the country and our trips included Playa del Coco, La Fortuna, Jaco, San Ramon, Atenas, Heredia, Grecia. Everywhere we went we met friendly helpful locals. The produce market every Saturday was one of our favorite stops. We felt completely safe at the house and everywhere we travelled and wouldn't hesitate to go again. Also bilingual and very helpful was Carlos Ramirez Gomez at Payless Car Rentals by the airport. He went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. Victoria checked in with us about once a week to make sure all was well. I would return to her home in the future and would recommend it to anyone traveling there."

  • Perfection in Paradise

"My wife and I stayed here for 2 weeks in 2013. It was perfect. Our hosts, Monica and Bernard have created a mini-nature preserve on their beautiful property, with fruit trees an incredible botanical garden and excellent birding opportunities. The rental house is perfectly equipped, modestly priced and has a beautiful private swimming pool. Only a short drive from the city of Atenas. We will definitely be returning to Finca Miramonte."
