  • Costa Rica Birthday Celebrations

"Celebrating my 40th birthday at Villa Caramar was simply perfect. We rented the house for a week and when it was time to go, it felt like we had just arrived. The house was spacious and comfortable - the AC throughout the house worked perfectly. The WIFI didn't work flawlessly, but Gina worked diligently to restore WIFI service as quickly as possible. While the inside of the house was great, the outside infinity pool and ocean front views were a hit. We spent every day in the pool! The sunsets were priceless. The ocean waves were beautiful and the sound at night was so relaxing. The beach is more rocky than some may prefer, but with the infinity pool steps away, no one wanted to lay on the beach anyway. We had a chef come to the house (PasCam) to prepare our first and last nights' dinners. Pascal and Camille were fantastic and so professional. Highly recommend! One afternoon, Catherine, a massage therapist came to the house and each of us had private massages. It was such a relaxing way to spend the afternoon. Lola's Restaurant was one of our hot spots - we would have liked to have tried more local joints, but mid-October is not yet 'in season' so many were closed. I recommend stocking up on food/drink at the Auto Mercado in Tamarindo to avoid hunting down places to eat. We ziplined and went horseback riding with Pura Adventure coordinated through TPV. Gina, the home caretaker, was so fun. Maria, the house keeper, was terrific. Booking the house was easy; finding the house was a bit challenging, but once you get the hang of the area, it's easy peasy. Rent a 4x4 - - you will need it, at least in October. Enjoy Costa Rica at Villa Caramar - you won't regret it."

  • Rustic but charming home

"We stayed at Casa de Memphis for a month ending February 24th, 2017. First of all, let me say that David the owner is a pleasure to work with. He provided extensive information on the area and in fact saved us considerably money on a car rental. In addition, he phoned us during our stay to see if everything was going ok. The builder manager Tiffany was also wonderful to deal with and whatever issues arose she was prompt and efficient in getting the matter resolved. This home is pretty much as indicated on the site and is extremely close to one of the most beautiful beaches we have seen. I would have to be honest and say that the appliances could use some upgrading as well as the barbeque but having said that their appearance did not affect their functionality. All in all this is a very nice home and is conveniently located near the beach and some very good restaurants and David was very quick to respond to emails asking him all kinds of questions about the area. We would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone and with updated appliances would rate this a 5 star home.."

  • Very nice property

"The accommodations we perfect the house had everything we needed. The Wil-Mart in town had all the groceries we needed. And playa grande was beautiful."

  • Beautifully located beach house

"Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed staying at this beautifully located beach house on Playa Grande. Some of my fondest memories include waking up in the morning, brewing myself a cup of authentic Costa Rican coffee, enjoying it on the quiet pristine beach of Playa Grande as the sun rose, and then plunging into the ocean for a morning surf. Located a short walk down the beach from Tamarindo - this beach home blends peace and tranquility with the beat of a bustling tourist town. Jorge - the home owner - was very helpful and attentive, and we can't wait to return."
