  • Best Vaca Ever!

"We visited Costa Rica for 5 days and had a great time. Staying at Casa Mimosa was really nice and we had plenty of room for all 10 of us. The walk to the beach was a very short walk and there were plenty of beach chairs, coolers and boogie boards for our use. The pool was beautiful even though the water was warm, it was still refreshing after a day at the beach. The owners (Sid) gave us several recommendations of different beaches and places to visit. The Casa(s) had everything you need. The housekeepers were wonderful as well. Our casa was always clean and we had plenty of privacy. I would 100% recommend Casa Mimosa. The Joyce and Price Families."

  • Fantastic views

"We booked the home for a family vacation all adults. 6 in total. We found the set up was perfect as the rooms being separated gave us all our own space. We found we all gravitated to the beautiful infinity pool as well as the patio all the time. The view of the beach and the ocean was fantastic. The surf was great, beach is secluded and not crowded. The proximity to Coco Loco (local eatery) was advantagous as their menu was great. The staff Oli and the daily visits of Maritza helping out to keep the property clean and attend to our needs was welcome. Oli and Maritza are true professionals. We highly recommend this property. It can be perceived a little rustic but this is the charm of this home. We Would book again again."

  • Great Christmas family getaway

"Our family stayed December 2016. 7 adults--2 couples, 3 singles. The 4 bedrooms worked fine. The one that has no privacy and that you have to walk through to get to the bathroom is a little weird. It was also odd that that bathroom didn't have a ceiling (which means not completely private) but there was another bathroom so that was ok. The beach is great. You can wade out a long way and still touch so it felt very safe. We did not sit on the beach. There were ants that sometimes felt like they were biting my feet if I was still but it wasn't that big of a deal. Some of us had irritation from something in the water but was only stung for an hour or less and then went away. There is a shower in the backyard just inside the gate that was very convenient to wash off before going in the house or pool. Many people walked the beach (but it was not crowded at all) and everyone was friendly. There is a dramatic difference between high and low tide. You can't walk as far during high tide. There is an inlet or estuary each way that you can not cross when the water is high. The pool area is great. The cabana and row of bushes provide shade and privacy. The balcony is lovely and shaded all day long with a great view. Jorge, the house manager, lives on the first floor of the house and he took good care of us -- got our groceries, shuttled us to and from the airport, and drove us to and from the Beach House restaurant (he had an emergency at another place he manages so we waited a long time and we could have had better communication regarding that though). We went jet skiing and snorkeling with his son Joshua which was very fun. We rented boogie boards and kayaks from the place down the beach. It would have been nice to have had some beach "toys" available at the house. We walked to Perla's restaurant (10 minutes). I walked the beach to the Beach House one morning (27 minutes). I walked to the restaurant to the right down the beach (12 minutes) but we didn't eat there. There is a convenience store that is a 10 minute walk. The groceries and restaurants were more expensive than we anticipated. The 7 of us had lunch at the restaurant at the airport (no one ordered alcohol) and it cost $175! 6 of us ate at Perla's with 3 drinks and it was $100. We spent around $350 on groceries which did include alcohol. Overall, we were very satisfied. Casa Surfside was reasonably priced for all ALL that we got -- togetherness, beach, pool, and fabulous view."

  • Comfortable and relaxing

"The condo was very clean and updated. Private beach was wonderful with fireflies and tiny crabs at night. We recommend renting a car as any nightlife is a 20 minute drive away to tamarindo. Renee was very helpful, she'll hook you up with a great car rental company or any tours you could want."
