  • Costa Rica Vacation April 2016

"We shared the condo with another couple and it worked out great for us. We had a beautiful view in the morning and a fabulous sunset in the evening. The only thing it was a little warm to sit too long on the patio. We didn't have hot water when we arrived because someone had shut off the hot water heater. This was an easy fix and we had hot water by the time we returned from dinner. The Pacifico Village was really nice. The complex is beautifully landscaped, very clean and we always felt safe. The security guards were always patrolling the area. It was very quite and we had the pool to ourselves most of the time. I would recommend this condo to others. I would also recommend eating in some of the nights because most of the restaurants are outdoor seating and without air-conditioning."

  • Adventures in Costa Rica

"We stayed at the house for one week. The house is on the edge of the jungle. Close enough to Samara but far enough away from the crowds. Punta Islita is just a few miles south of the house. You do need a 4x4. Being off the paved roads is where adventure begins. If you want the remote and real Costa Rica experience, there is no need to go back to Samara (except for gas). There is a very nice place to eat in Punta Islita (Restaurant Kambute). The food was more traditional Costa Rican. Further south you can find more places to eat. We enjoyed going to the Coyote area for breakfast ( but that may be too far for some). We saw parrots every day. Heard the howler monkeys everyday. Saw them most everyday. Macaws visited the property one day. Great views! Great beaches! Mike was great with information, suggestions and about everything we threw at him! Thank you for a great adventure, Mike!"

  • Location, Location, Location!

"Our family loved the house and secluded beach of Playa Pelada. This beach has beautiful tide pools and a small blowhole that was fun to check out. It is a short stroll on the beach, from the house, to a lovely restaurant and little beachside bar. We all loved playing in the warm water and watching the sunsets each evening. It is a bit of a walk over to the next beach of Playa Guiones, but definitely doable. It is a 5 minute drive and easy to find parking if you don't want to walk. Sitting on the porch of the house, we saw monkeys playing in the trees and even walking along the power lines. We went surfing, horseback riding and took a family yoga class during our stay here."

  • Breathtaking home!

"My husband and I spent a week at Casa Holmes celebrating his birthday. The house is spectacular. Steve and Lisa from Zindis (local property managers) were both welcoming and helpful. We booked a tour with Lupita from Vargas Tours (based on Nita's recommendation) to Monteverdi and were impressed not only with the beauty of Costa Rica, but the knowledge of our guide Franco of all things Costa Rican, Central American and the flora and fauna of this beautiful country. We found travel fairly easy and the local area charming. Massages by Carmen were the icing on the cake of a relaxing week. Nita is so welcoming and responsive to any questions. The house itself has everything you need and, while certainly daunting, the driveway is manageable! Highly recommend this amazing home and lovely area."
