  • The view is amazing!

"The place was just as we'd pictured. The owners took great pictures! The villa is in a secure location and it was very quiet! The best part of this villa was the amazing views. We spent our evenings sitting on the deck feeling the breeze and enjoying the sounds of nature. It's about 1.5 hrs from the Arenal Volcano, Monteverde Cloud Forest, and La Celeste waterfall. We loved our time there and would even come back :)"

  • A slice of tranquility with views that will not be forgotten.

"...Marc has created a space that embraces the beauty of lake Arenal. The two 12' french sliding doors provide an indoor/outdoor atmosphere we truly loved! Whether utilizing the property as your private sanctuary or a base camp for adventure activities, you will not be disappointed! ps - the on site manager, Ty, was a fabulous resource for providing information on local activities and booking tours."

  • Beautiful home, Beautiful location

"We spent 5 nights at the Villa. The views are spectacular, the house is beautiful and can easily handle the strong winds and rain we experienced on our trip. Everything was as advertised on the website, we were very happy with everything. The owner and property manager were very accommodating considering our flight was delayed in the states and we got their pretty late in the evening. The house is in a very remote area so you should keep in mind you are likely to encounter bugs. We were ready for this so it did not bother us when we did see some both inside and out. We just swept them outside, not a big deal. We are in the jungle after all. The fireflies flying outside the window gave us a nice light show we aren't used to being from So. Cal. The Howler monkeys yelling at sunrise was our alarm clock and loved it. Only one issue kept us from giving a 5 star review. We heard movement in the attic and was told it was bats. From time to time the owner chases them out with spotlights. On some days they were very active, making lots of noise. We noticed areas of the wood ceiling where it appears the bat droppings have started staining the wood. Once the attic is cleaned, I wouldn't hesitate to give this place 5 stars. Our real regret was not staying longer. Toad Hall is a nine minute walk down the road. The food is excellent and the employees are the friendliest people we met in CR. John and his mother Jami are amazing chefs. I recommend you try John's homemade salsa. Best we've ever had! His deep fried ice cream is also too good to pass up. Also don't miss the sunset at Tinajas in Nuevo Arenal. They serve a great pizza as well. We will be back and we will book this house again!"
