  • Great Family Vacation Spot.

"Our family of 8 spent five days here over New Years. What a beautiful home, with breathtaking views, comfy beds, many bathrooms, great gathering spaces, and spectacular breakfasts prepared by Gisella every morning. The fresh pineapple was the best. Michelle, a neighbor, was most helpful in identifying local markets, restaurants and points of interest. And Sharon, the owner, contributed many thoughtful suggestions which enhanced our experience. We did not ride the horses because we had local excursions planned each day. Highlights included the Mistico Hanging Bridges, Baldi Hot Springs, and Balsa River rafting (our favorite). The occasional showers every day did not dampen our spirits or our plans. The 2 mile drive to the house from the main road was one of the bumpiest this 74 year old has ever experienced, but the destination was so worth the journey. A+++"

  • A Perfect Getaway

"A stay in this rental will grant you everything you hope for during a vacation: convenience, comfort, convenience, safety, and tranquility. I had a hint that this would be the case before we even arrived. Rand, the owner, provided us with an impressively detailed and straightforward set of directions to the community. We had no trouble reaching our destination. Once there, he showed us around the elegant and spotless home and offered his help whenever it might be needed. This was indeed the case and it made a big difference to our stay. I was particularly pleased with the high quality mattresses and stainless steel cookware. They added an extra touch of luxury that I really appreciated. My kids were over the moon about the communal swimming pools. We could swim while taking in a breathtaking view of Lake Arenal. As far as the surrounding area is concerned, the charming town of Tilarán is only about 10 minutes away. There you can find supermarkets, fresh fruit stands, other shopping, restaurants, a central plaza with a playground, and much more. In sum, I highly recommend using this home as a base for your travels in the Arenal area. Thanks for the great memories!"

  • Relaxing and quite

"We have been lucky enough to be able to have a long term rental of this house *Aug 2015 - Nov 2016*. We have shared this home with many friends and family over the past year and they have all loved the house, location and many things to do in this area. The location is great - only 9km from Nuevo Arenal - 5-6 awesome restaurants if you don't want to cook. Its only 45 minutes to La Fortuna for tourist options and an amazing waterfall as well as many other things to do. Liberia airport is less than 2 hours away with the completion of the new road - life is much easier. The owners (Bob and Pam) have been so easy to work with and we were able to help them as well. The house is clean and well maintained and is a very comfortable place to stay. We hope you will spend a few days here and enjoy this area of Costa Rica PURA VIDA"

  • Beautiful and relaxing!

"We enjoyed our stay at this peaceful and safe gaited community. The owner, Rand, was so helpful and was there for our every need... Even found a blender for us to make smoothies and had some cold Imperial beers waiting when we arrived, since we had a long and harrowing drive! The kitchen is tiny so we didn't cook much, but there were lots of nice spots to eat nearby. The bathroom and shower were so roomy and the lovely jetted tub soothed our tired hiking muscles! From the deck, we saw keel-billed toucans and howler monkeys. So fun!"
