  • Beautiful and relaxing!

"We enjoyed our stay at this peaceful and safe gaited community. The owner, Rand, was so helpful and was there for our every need... Even found a blender for us to make smoothies and had some cold Imperial beers waiting when we arrived, since we had a long and harrowing drive! The kitchen is tiny so we didn't cook much, but there were lots of nice spots to eat nearby. The bathroom and shower were so roomy and the lovely jetted tub soothed our tired hiking muscles! From the deck, we saw keel-billed toucans and howler monkeys. So fun!"

  • Beautiful little house with great views

"I loved this little house. Everything is perfect, new and modern. Fully furnished and stocked with everything you need. The views down the hillside onto Lake Arenal make you not want to leave the house. There is a small grocery store in Tronadora about a 10-15 minute ride away where you can get food/supplies. Bev is the best! You could not ask for a nicer host that is very fast communicating with you at any time. She really cares about ensuring that you arrive OK and that you are comfortable and happy throughout your stay. I couldn't recommend this property enough. It's especially perfect for people who would like to get away and be a little secluded. You can drive to Nuevo Arenal, Monteverde, La Fortuna for the day. I know you will love this place. I hope to go back again soon."

  • Beautiful house with amazing views!

"We stay in the 2 bedroom cottage. The house is beautiful, very comfortable, with a great kitchen and amazing, amazing views of the lake and volcano. It is also central to the various activities in the area. Nancy was a great help with suggestions (there are many activities to choose from) and in helping reserve the things we wanted to do. Our absolute favorite was the horseback ride to the waterfall with Lilander!"

  • Absolutely stunning location!

"First and foremost this was an absolutely stunning location. There were minor suggestions I would offer to make it even MORE enjoyable but I don't want them to take away from the fact that this really is such a beautiful setting. I would suggest that there always be coffee available for the guests, dish soap was not available, most of the outlets did not work, one of the lights in the bathroom was recessed and did not work, the beds are very hard, pillows are very hard, and absolutely no water pressure (this might just be the way it is in this area of the country). We totally enjoyed when the neighbors dog that came to visit, seeing the cows and horses in the morning, and eating at the local restaurants. If you are coming to the area to spend most of your time in La Fortuna I would suggest staying closer. We found that when people in the area say that it takes 30 minutes to get someplace you can double that time - at a minimum. If you are just interested in staying in a beautiful location this is awesome."
