  • Slice of Heaven

"Our family stayed with Tom & Maria for our first visit to Costa Rica. They were just incredible! Their "slice of heaven" is breathtaking. The "casa" we rented was beautiful with all the comforts of home. The views were gorgeous from every window. The home was warm, cozy and very welcoming. Tom & Maria went above and beyond helping set up our tours and activities in the area. Maria was in essence our private tour guide. Our only regret is that our visit was way too short. We are hoping to get back to that area again and will look no further that Tom & Maria's place to stay. Highly recommended!!"

  • Tropical Gardens with lake view

"Casa Bella Vista is set at the top of the property which is in a beautiful tropical garden that is private and gated. The gardens are lush with tropical plants and fruits and and varied array of birds and butterflies. Tom and Maria are most helpful and will give recommendations on your requests. Maria was able to a book ziplining tour for us at a discounted price and must do for anyone who would love an incredible view of the rainforest. The villa has a small kitchen where you can prepare simple meals with groceries from the town about a 20 minute drive away. It is a great location away from the crowds but close enough to use as a home base for northern Costa Rica."

  • Our visit to the Arenal Lakefront House

"We spent eight nights at the Arenal Lakefront House from February 21st - February 29th, 2016. The house was clean and very comfortable. It had everything that we needed and more. It has a very private, well maintained backyard with a huge expanse of lawn and many flowering shrubs and tress. The owner Pat was very helpful and gave us very good directions for finding the house and advised us on the many activities and sightseeing spots nearby. He was quick to answer all of our questions and provide us with any information that we requested. When we arrived on February 21st, Coryn the Property Manager met us at the house and clearly explained all that we needed to know concerning the house. It was also very nice that she had provided us with eggs, coffee, juice for the next morning. We had a rental vehicle so it was easy for us to go to the grocery store in nearby Tronadora (8 minutes away) and if we wanted to go to a larger supermarket we would go to Tilaran which was only about 15 minutes away. We were able to do our banking at Tilaran. We especially enjoyed having our coffee in the mornings on the patio looking out over the lake and seeing all the tropical birds, monkeys and wildlife so close at hand. We were so pleased to see the Toucans, parrots and Howler Monkeys every morning and evening in the trees. We managed to get some good photos. If we didn't feel like cooking we would go out for lunch or dinner. Some of our favorite restaurants were La Brisas which is just a few minutes from the house, Cafe Macadamia (20 minutes away) which is on the road to Arenal and Pradora which is a Steakhouse on the way to Tilaran (10 minutes away). The Puerto San Luis Yaht Club is only about a two minute walk from the house and it also has a restaurant and swimming pool. You are able to use the swimming pool for a small fee. We flew out of Liberia on the way home and it was about an hour and half drive. Give yourself extra time as the road is under construction. We would definitely recommend this rental house and if we go back to this area of Costa Rica in the future we would stay at this location again. This house is about an hour and a half from La Fortuna and about an hour from Monteverde, both good sights to visit if you are in Costa Rica. Ben and Carmen Conn Wynndel, British Columbia, Canada"

  • Absolutely unforgettable experience !!!

"We had a FANTASTIC time at Tom’s and Maria’s villa. What a wonderful and kind people! They were always ready to help and answer any questions we had. I was corresponding with Tom by email before we arrived and he was always answering all my questions very thorough and promptly! When we arrived, Tom gave us a map of the area and showed us where all the good restaurants were, as well as supermarkets, bank, gas station, etc. Maria told us about the weekly BBQ cookouts in town on Fridays which we attended and had a blast! All of the restaurants we’ve visited that Tom recommended were delicious!!! The property is absolutely beautiful! The villas are gorgeous! There were 4 of us(2 adults and 2 children) and we stayed at the Casa Primera, while our friends stayed at the Casa Grande. Our kids loved the pool. They spend a lot of time there. If you sit by the pool when the sun goes down, you can see toucans on the trees around you. We also went a few time times to our friends (at the villa Grande) Jacuzzi. We loved how the villas were decorated inside! Everything inside was spotless. The cleaning ladies came every other day and did a wonderful job as well! We kept our windows open(there are nets on every window). It’s an amazing experience to hear monkeys, frogs, and different birds while having breakfast in the morning or going to bed at night. While in Costa Rica, we did zip lining (it was a blast), went to Arenal Volcano, La Fortuna, and spend a whole day at the hot springs in Tabacon! What a beautiful country with very warm people! Would absolutely love to come back!"
