  • Tropical Gardens with lake view

"Casa Bella Vista is set at the top of the property which is in a beautiful tropical garden that is private and gated. The gardens are lush with tropical plants and fruits and and varied array of birds and butterflies. Tom and Maria are most helpful and will give recommendations on your requests. Maria was able to a book ziplining tour for us at a discounted price and must do for anyone who would love an incredible view of the rainforest. The villa has a small kitchen where you can prepare simple meals with groceries from the town about a 20 minute drive away. It is a great location away from the crowds but close enough to use as a home base for northern Costa Rica."

  • NEED MORE STARS FOR THIS REVIEW!

"I wish I could leave pictures of the sunsets over the lake. We would eat some of our meals on the deck. Birds abound making photography so easy. Ricardo has been a joy to work with. We went to the San Antonio Christian Church on Sunday an American service {8:45} and received two invites to members homes making awesome connections in this beautiful country. My soul feels so restored after staying at this mountain resort for a week. Each and every recommendation Ricardo gave us was PERFECT! I can only pray I can go back. Thank you Ricardo and Franklin too."

  • A Wonderful Vacation

"Our 5 days spent at Villa Encantada were unforgettable. All 13 of us thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful rainforest gardens, the waterslide and pool, fishing in our personal lake pond, discovering new fruit, watching the abundant wildlife, and kayaking in Lake Arenal. The house is beautiful, and comfortably accommodated us all. Glenn was extremely helpful, personable, and he checked in with us frequently to see if we needed anything. He is knowledgeable about the best restaurants around the area, and he never once let our family down. One recommendation is to have the authentic Costa Rican dinner the Glenn's personal chefs cook and serve at the house. It was delicious and well worth it! We ate a lot of delicious food during our stay. If you want a relaxing stay with options of activities for everyone, Villa Encantada is a great place to come. If you are looking to do a good amount of fishing however, I would recommend bringing your own fishing rods if possible. This house has some but they aren't in great shape. This is truly a great way to see the unique Costa Rican rainforests while being immersed in the culture of Costa Rica."

  • This home has everything for relaxation!

"We can"t say enough about how much we enjoyed this property and the kind attention from Ed (The property manager). The comfort of the house and the well equipped kitchen are without equal. We were thrilled by the great birdwatching (saw at least 20 different types) right from the terrace. The cabana and pool area are landscaped and very well maintained with beautiful tropical plants and flowers. We especially enjoyed the mini library with travel and wildlife reference books. We were very near to Nueva Arenal with nice stores and good restaurants. The location of this home is very convenient to La Fortuna and a few hours from Santa Elena. We recommend this lovely property and would love to return."
