  • A slice of tranquility with views that will not be forgotten.

"...Marc has created a space that embraces the beauty of lake Arenal. The two 12' french sliding doors provide an indoor/outdoor atmosphere we truly loved! Whether utilizing the property as your private sanctuary or a base camp for adventure activities, you will not be disappointed! ps - the on site manager, Ty, was a fabulous resource for providing information on local activities and booking tours."

  • Beautiful spot. Nice location. Very private.

"DVD player did not work. We were out and about most of the time."

  • Stunning property! A great place for everyone.

"My wife, 3 kids and my parents just returned from Costa Rica and the highlight of our trip was staying at Villa Encantada. The house and grounds are simply amazing and will leave you wishing you had more time. We stayed for 4 nights and could have easily spent 7. The best bird watching was on the property with many types of jays and toucans eating at the feeder. Everyone enjoyed the pools and the 100 foot water slide. 5 star properties also have 5 star owners and Glenn is the most welcoming and helpful owner. He was like a personal concierge arranging our tours and giving us maps to the places we are going since the roads in Costa Rica are not well marked. He even put up a fence around the patio so that my 2 year old could not run off into the pool or pond. All members of my traveling party from my 70 year old dad to my 2 year old son thoroughly enjoyed Villa Encantada. All of us can't wait to go back."

  • Some of the best sunsets in the world

"First off, the road up is a pain, bring something with cushy suspension (SUV). Its 10mins of bumpy rocks, but thats why at the top you feel like you have the entire forest to yourself. Sitting on the massive back porch watching the sun go down over the lake each night was like nothing else. The house is huge, we had 6 people with a room to spare. Kitchen is well equipped, so plan to cook! The house to Fortuna was an hour, which was a good thing as you avoid the tourist nonsense but are close enough to do things. Neuvo has a few groceries and restaurant/bars and felt very safe even on a Friday night. SJO was 3.5hours, Liberia is probably 2.5. If you have a group of people like the quiet but want to be close enough to the adventures of Arenel/Fortuna, the house is perfect. Pura vida!"
