  • My First Trip to Costa Rica Made Fabulous Thanks to Dean and Toni!

"When I first learned that the owners of the property would be on site at this rental property, I was a little apprehensive. However, Dean and Toni's presence made a huge difference in my experience of Playa Guiones. They were extremely helpful, accomodating and not intrusive in the least. This property is well maintained, secure and both the large house and the casitas were extremely comfortable. We even made friends with other guests during our stay! The lovely pool, proximity to the beach (5 minute walk) and the smoothie truck all conspired to make our stay fantastic!"

  • Great house and location

"This house was perfect for our stay in Nosara. We had 4 adults and 3 children and the sleeping arrangements were ideal. The house has great amenities - nice pool, big open kitchen, outdoor seating and dining table, and TV/Sonos/Wifi. The house is a short walk to the beach and to restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay here again."

  • BEST Vacation and the Casa Cristal was the Most Valuable Part!

"Three families - 14 people - stayed in Casa Cristal in December and I think we all wished we lived there permanently. I'm not kidding when I tell you this is by far the best vacation home I have ever stayed in, including any beach house rental in the United States. Guiones could have something to do with it but seriously, it is perfectly equipped, even had sharp knives and any beach renter knows what I mean. The four bedrooms, each with own bath, was exactly right for our group. We had 6 adults (3 couples) and 9 kids ranging in age from 9-16. Two of the families had their younger children share the bedroom and then one couple was alone and the fourth bedroom was for the three 16-year old girls. We had plans to use the three outdoor beds in the upstairs area BUT between the noise and the wind, it wasn't ideal sleeping conditions for the kids. It wasn't a problem for us but it is something to consider if you are depending on those beds. The indoor area, kitchen and TV room, was great. We were really only inside while in the kitchen, otherwise, the house is situated perfectly for outdoor living. We ate, swam, played, relaxed for 6 days almost entirely outside and couldn't have been more comfortable. It's about a 5 minute walk to the beach and very close to the Harbor Reef and The Beach Dog. We had two dinners prepared in the home for us and the outdoor table easily sat us all and then some. The house has separate pool towels and beach towels so you do not need to bring any, there were more than enough for 14 people. A/C in the bedrooms as well as ceiling fans. I honestly can't think of one thing I would change about this house - maybe the owners - meaning I wish it was MINE! Enjoy!"

  • Great Villa for a Nosara Surf Adventure

"Dear Dave - Many thanks as we enjoyed our 8-day stay at the Four Winds Villas!!! The villa was well-appointed and we were comfortable immediately. We went surfing everyday and the the short, five minute walk to the beach allowed us to maximize our time in the surf at Playa Guiones. Your property manager, Rebeca, helped us to arrange for a fishing trip and ATV tours to a cattle ranch and snorkeling in San Juanillo. During our fishing trip we caught a beautiful dorado and a red snapper, which we were able to cook and enjoy using the grill and nice kitchen. Our boys (ages 7 and 9) loved the pool, and it was a perfect way for all of us to relax and refresh after a surf session and during the afternoon heat. The groundskeeper, Jorge, was so pleasant and we enjoyed practicing our Spanish with him. We also loved that the villa is centrally located and we were able to explore the entire Nosara area with ease. We went to Olga's on our last night to watch the sunset and enjoy some cold Imperials and Pilsens - spectacular!!! This was our first trip to Costa Rica and we had a great time surfing, fishing, exploring, and our "downtime" at the villa. We cannot wait to return. Pura Vida!!!"
