  • Location, Location, Location!

"Our family loved the house and secluded beach of Playa Pelada. This beach has beautiful tide pools and a small blowhole that was fun to check out. It is a short stroll on the beach, from the house, to a lovely restaurant and little beachside bar. We all loved playing in the warm water and watching the sunsets each evening. It is a bit of a walk over to the next beach of Playa Guiones, but definitely doable. It is a 5 minute drive and easy to find parking if you don't want to walk. Sitting on the porch of the house, we saw monkeys playing in the trees and even walking along the power lines. We went surfing, horseback riding and took a family yoga class during our stay here."

  • "We're kinda staying at a mansion"

"Our group of 10 loved Villa Bellitza. When invited to stay out at a beach party, one member of our group said, "No thanks, I'm kinda staying at a mansion." Most people in our crew surfed throughout the day, and the private jungle path to the beach was an asset. No coordination necessary. Want to surf? Walk down the path, and you're there. On the path we saw monkeys and crabs. At the house, we had visitors including iguanas, a coati, raccoons, armadillos, and birds. The house has plenty of room to spread out, hide from the sun, and hide from one another if necessary. Also, the plethora of outdoor seating and an inviting pool area drew the majority of the crew throughout the day. I didn't think the pool would be important. It was. It is HOT in the middle of the day, and the pool was the lifeline. Town water shortages meant that water was turned off from about 6pm-7am, but you get used to it. Tried to sleep without using the A.C. but eventually caved. The A.C.s do a decent job cooling down the rooms, but especially the downstairs of the junior suite. House is walkable to a variety of restaurants and bars, and makes for a fantastic home base. On a couple of days, I never left "the compound." Ed is a great property manager who helped us to coordinate a chef for the group - meals for the group of 10 were $100 (chicken meal) and $120 (fish) - definitely recommended."

  • Perfect spot for Costa Rican vacation!

"After having been in Nosara in the past we knew this was the spot we wanted to return for our family vacation. With more people in our family now than the last time we came, we needed a fairly good sized house to stay in - this house provided not only the comfortable space that we needed but it is a beautiful, comfortable place to be. It is close to everything: beach, restaurants, shops... The outdoor pool area is perfect for hanging out and grilling food for dinner. The property is beautifully landscaped with tropical flowers and plants. My favorite thing in the morning was to sit out back and watch the family of monkeys jumping from tree to tree. This is a very comfortable Tica styled home that we would definitely stay in again. Pura Vida!"

  • Wonderful location! Lovely home!

"We had two families, total of 8, stay at Casa Cristal for spring break and it was lovely! Lots of room to relax around the pool. The four bedrooms gave us plenty of room and we could even watch the NCAA finals and the Masters on the TV in the family room. The kitchen was great and we enjoyed having the cook a few nights too! The ping pong table was a big hit with the kids and they loved walking to the beach everyday to surf! We went fishing one day and caught 4 sailfish! Great house to rent for a surfing and fishing vacation!"
