  • Wonderful location! Lovely home!

"We had two families, total of 8, stay at Casa Cristal for spring break and it was lovely! Lots of room to relax around the pool. The four bedrooms gave us plenty of room and we could even watch the NCAA finals and the Masters on the TV in the family room. The kitchen was great and we enjoyed having the cook a few nights too! The ping pong table was a big hit with the kids and they loved walking to the beach everyday to surf! We went fishing one day and caught 4 sailfish! Great house to rent for a surfing and fishing vacation!"

  • Care-free family vacation!

"We were a few families who stayed in a few different houses. We used this amazingly beautiful and well designed compound as our landing and launching point to all the attractions and lazy days. Jackie was such an asset to have on hand as we had children who needed constant feeding. Surfing was outstanding and the rental shop next door added to the ease of our stay. Steve was amazingly friendly and helpful when booking...thank you for your kind and thoughtful discussions about what we were to expect in Nosara and in your home. We felt blessed to share in such a welcoming beach (and jungle) community. We are so grateful, Thank You, Thank You!"

  • Beautiful, Affordable Home with Spectacular Views!

"My husband and I stayed at this beautiful property for one week in April during the dry season and it was truly not long enough. While the roads leading to Nosara are rough and challenging, they have kept the small towns of Nosara and Guiones tucked away and undeveloped. It truly is an escape away from it all. The house was well-equipped, well-maintained, and offered at a very reasonable price. The wildlife (Howler monkeys, coatimundi, array of birds, and more), sunsets, and views of the Nosara and Montana Rivers as they join the Pacific Ocean were beyond spectacular. We loved relaxing around the beautiful, warm infinity pool. The beaches are gorgeous and we enjoyed visiting Nosara, Peleda, Garza, Guiones, and Samara. Peleda and Guiones do not have much shade but there are palm trees on the others. There's a small bike shop in Guiones that rents beach chairs, umbrellas, and coolers. We highly recommend hiking the trails at the entrance to the Biological Reserve, which is very close to the house near the Nosara River and the trails right near the house that lead down to Playa Peleda. We found a wide array of pretty shells and huge sand dollars hiking down Nosara Beach at low tide. We took surfing lessons on Guiones, which was perfect for beginners at low tide. We enjoyed eating breakfasts at Cafe Paris in Guiones, the local tico-style food at Rancho Tico, and dinner at La Luna (get the Greek humus appetizer - yummy!). While Carl and Cathy were not at the house during our stay, we felt comfortable with Alex and Alejandro, who checked in on us and were there if we needed anything. Don't forget to feed their family of goats across the street. We highly recommend the house!"
