  • This is it, no need to keep looking...

"We stayed in the mountain area of Monteverde before coming to this beach side villa for the second half of our wonderful Costa Rica vacation. We stayed here for 4 nights. Playa Ocotal is a quiet, uncrowded beach, yet less than10 minutes to the hustle and bustle of Playa Coco, which is very touristy. We were so glad to be at Playa Ocotal, especially in this particular unit. It is clean, and well appointed. It has a beautiful view of the ocean, and is only a few steps away from both the pool and the beach. We think it's the best unit in the Los Almendros complex. The "Property Description" is accurate. Our entire family, with daughters age 15 and 12, enjoyed our stay tremendously. The rental arrangements went very smoothly. Scott is very attentive and replies immediately to emails. This was our first trip to Costa Rica. We definitely plan on coming back. When we do, we hope this villa will still be in the VRBO listing. We have rented through VRBO for over 12 years. Our family highly recommends this villa. Another recommendation, especially for those first time vacationers to Costa Rica, is the book "Costa Rica, the Complete Guide" by James Kaiser. Good history of the country, insightful information of the different areas/regions, good travel tips, and great recommendations on restaurants (that's how we found great places to eat)."

  • Very nice place in a fun, safe little town on the beach

"We stayed a few days before heading south. Everything was as described. Very nice and exceptionally clean. We had what we needed to cook, bathroom was properly stocked with towels and the bed linens looked brand new. Frank had some nice beach towels for us to use, so nice I left them alone because I didn't want to get them dirty! There's also a propane grill and, I think, a cooler too. The unit is very secure and was easy walking distance to beach, bars and restaurants. The shared pool area is wonderful and like many others posted, we enjoyed the friendly people staying in the condos around us as well as they people who were taking care of the grounds. Also, Frank was very helpful, hospitable and accommodating. He even dropped what he was doing to rescue me from myself when I accidentally locked stuff in the safe and couldn't get it open again because I didn't read the directions. I look forward to renting from Frank again! Mark and Amy"

  • Loved our stay at Villa la Colona

"Our first time to Costa Rica and our first stay at Vince's condo. We had heard many good things about the condo and the reviews were correct! The condo is in a great location, it's beautiful and has everything you need for your stay.Certainly not a "bare bones" condo. Tito was great help to us and would make local calls for us when needed! We really appreciated the wifi in the condo when scheduling activities! We really enjoyed the beautiful infinity pool and was there almost every day.We rented a car and did a variety of activities every day including river rafting down the Coribici, ziplining, the monkey farm, horseback riding to the jungle and beach, and a very nice sailboat ride. We visited several beautiful beaches in the area, ate at Coconutz in Coco, had ice cream at a cute shop in Coco and a sunset dinner at Father Rooster in Ocotal. It was a wonderful week that went by too soon and we certainly enjoyed our stay at Vince's condo while in Costa Rica!"

  • Beautiful property!

"We loved the the condo, the pool, and the security was wonderful. The only draw back was the property manager Roberto was awful. He didn't seem welcoming. He was making comments that made us uncomfortable. And when we asked for another key so we could split up into groups he admitted that while we were asleep he tried to unlock the door with another set of keys. We were unhappy that he practically tried to come into our house without permission. Also, while we were trying to receive the extra key that he offered when we arrived he said in an email that he'd meet me the following day at noon and then never showed up. And after that he ignored my emails for 4 days. Although there were a few problems the vacation was wonderful, we loved Costa Rica, and would recommend the property to anyone. Thank you."
