  • Spectacular spot on the beach.

"The house is rustic but spacious and a great place for a large number of people who want to stay together. And who should be indoors anyay? There are waves to catch and monkeys to spot! The kitchen is adequately supplied for cooking but no condiments (which was to be expected) however, the restaurants nearby have delicious choices and are easy to get to. The pool was kept meticulously clean by Sergio and his wife was helpful with our questions. This place would rock for a bunch of surf nuts who would be outdoors in the sand and sun by day and want to hang by the pool by night!"

  • Large clean property located right on playa grande

"Loved the location right on the beach and even though it was older the property was very clean and comfortable. Only drawback to us was the lack of a privacy window shade on all bedroom windows. They were see through and did not offer privacy especially at night. Unless changed this might preclude us from renting again. Otherwise an awesome place."

  • Peaceful Beach Community Haven

"Photos and memories of #54 Palm Beach Estates in Playa Grande will sustain us through the winter--an incredible location for a first visit to Costa Rica! The property itself is exactly as described by others so we want to focus our comments on the owner of this home, Mike, who came to our rescue in a dire situation. At the end of 2 glorious, perfect weeks we took off to Liberia Airport for an 8 am flight home. Two family members leaving on a later flight were still at #54. As we approached the airport (an hour and a half away), our cell phone rang. Apparently, my husband had accidentally picked up the kid’s rental car keys and they were in his pocket! Lots of hurried calls ensued. Word to the wise, Budget does not have spare keys; there are no shuttles, taxis, or buses on Sunday morning. One couple would have to miss their flight. Panic set in, and on a prayer, my husband called Mike and shared our dilemma. Here is the kind of guy who owns #54. Mike drove to Budget car rental to pick up the keys and delivered them back to #54—a round trip that cost him at least 3 hours. All we can do is say, THANK YOU, MIKE! Your generous hospitality was the icing on all our other fabulous experiences in Costa Rica. Vacationers, you won’t go wrong if you rent this property for your home away from home."

  • A Great Place To Stay

"My wife and I spent 6 nights at Casa Pelicano and enjoyed every minute of it. The setting is great. The pool is secluded and clean - we used it several times per day. The casa is clean and well supplied. The bed was very comfortable. We only used the master bedroom. There are two more bedrooms - one was good sized and overlooked the pool area; the other is kind of small. The owners live next door and were always responsive and available to answer questions. It's just a short 5 minute walk to the beach (which is awesome). There are 4 restaurants in the area, all within walking distance - about 10 minutes. We had bakery items delivered from Manfred, the local baker one day. We wish we would have used his service more."
