  • Spectacular spot on the beach.

"The house is rustic but spacious and a great place for a large number of people who want to stay together. And who should be indoors anyay? There are waves to catch and monkeys to spot! The kitchen is adequately supplied for cooking but no condiments (which was to be expected) however, the restaurants nearby have delicious choices and are easy to get to. The pool was kept meticulously clean by Sergio and his wife was helpful with our questions. This place would rock for a bunch of surf nuts who would be outdoors in the sand and sun by day and want to hang by the pool by night!"

  • The Perfect Getaway!

"Staying at Jorge's house was an amazing experience at a great price! Playa Ventana is the most private beach in the area and the house offers everything you need. Our pool - the ocean! I've stayed at houses with private pool but here, you really want to be at the beach, to pray...to read...to walk...to watch the beautiful sunsets...to explore! Mr. Alejandro lives downstairs with his family to take care of your needs so you feel secure day and night. I'm planning on keep renting this house again...and again!"

  • Secluded, Safe and Tranquil...

"yet close to everything you could want in Costa Rica. My wife and I have been travelling to Costa Rica frequently over the past 15 years, always in Guanacaste from Tamarindo to Playa Del Coco and this was the best location yet. Close to the bustling Tamarindo beach for world-class fishing and the beachy night life, but far enough (just a few minute drive though) to feel away from it all in this Playa Grande villa. Its location is quiet, within a gated, small enclave and its own less populated, even secluded, beaches and business district (meaning a store or two for anything you'd need, good restaurants and beach/surf shops). Perfect for a romantic getaway or a family jaunt; it'll fit the bill for either. Richard is as prompt and easy to deal with as any owner you'll deal with and he/his team are wonderfully helpful with trip planning. You can rent bikes, boards or horses within walking distance and there's never much traffic - another big plus as opposed to Tamarindo, if that matters to you. We also tried the in-villa chef visit with "Ander" (ask your concierge) and it was a fabulous experience with amazing food - lobster bisque and swordfish with a bacon wrap over risotto... it rivals a higher-end, big city fine dining experience, presentation included... but cozier. Great service and when they're done, you wont see a sign they were even there!! They clean everything, put away left overs and you do nothing but enjoy the dinner - I had them deliver a local flower arrangement too - this is one time, you wont know you're in a third world country - excellent experience! The Villa is more than enough for a couple with plenty of space to spare and would be great for a family too giving everyone plenty of room to spread out and relax. The fully stocked kitchen has all the features you'd want and like all of the rooms, plenty of beautiful wood cabinetry to hide away all your stuff. Large bedrooms throughout with a beautiful master and accompanying well-sized master bath. Everything is super clean and the management service is readily available with just a phone call. Ceiling fans and cool air moving well throughout the villa after a hot day on the ocean or beach with air conditioning units in each room (important for us as we keep it pretty cool). Overall, very serene location, beautiful, secure and private villa just a short walk from pristine beach, and laid back atmosphere all over town... Pura Vida awaits you @ Richard's Playa Grande Villa."

  • Enjoyable stay at Casa Bella/Buddha

"Our family of 8 enjoyed this great vacation home for a 3 night stay February, 2017. We chose it especially because it had 4 bedrooms with 4 queen beds and we could be close to the beach and prepare our own meals. We were not disappointed! Lenin, the property keeper was very helpful in giving us information about the area and came each day to check on us and clean out the pool. It can be very windy there and the flowers/leaves sometimes blow into the pool. But they are easy to remove with the big net provided. The pool water temperature was good. A highlight of our stay was when Leni's wife came (we hired her through owner, Fabricio) and prepared a Costa Rican meal for us. We tasted many new things and enjoyed talking to her about life in Costa Rica. If you are doing your own cooking, bring everything with you except coffee. That is provided for you. Playa Grande is a wonderful 5 km long beach of sand which is comfortable to walk and was never crowded. The younger ones went out into the water and enjoyed looking at all the pretty shells, etc. We left all the shells so there will be some there when YOU go to Playa Grande! It's a 10 minute walk down the road. We got some gorgeous orange sunset pictures our first day there. The beach closes at 6pm because there are often turtles coming to lay eggs and should be left alone. We also made a short drive trip up to Playa Conchal (Shell Beach) which is a beach of crushed shells. It's a smaller beach tucked away behind the town. The hammock and resident iguana/lizard entertained everybody! We would return to Fab's home again if we ever get the chance. Very enjoyable stay."
