  • Excellent House

"This is the second year we have stayed at Casa Del Mar. We have loved our stay and enjoyed just walking out the door onto the beach. Great restaurants in the area. The sunsets were beautiful! The house is very peaceful and has everything we needed. Greg and Gabriella were wonderful hosts and went out of there way to please us. Nicho and Miriam are wonderful and were always there to help us. We would recommend Casa Del Mar for your Costa Rica stay. We will be returning next year !"

  • Hidden Gem - The Casita at Casa Linda Vista

"When my wife and I wanted to get back to Costa Rica for a romantic weekend, we wanted to try the Guanacaste area as we hadn't been able to venture that far north previously. Our trusted source in Costa Rica told us of a perfect house close to the best beach at a very reasonable price. Sounded too good to be true but the Casita at Casa Linda Vista definitely lived up to the hype. Down an unassuming dirt road in the community of Playa Grande - this beautiful property hides up on a hill just short walk from one of the best surf beaches in Costa Rica. Also home to the protected sea turtle nesting grounds. The owners are so friendly and accommodating- they have built this retreat literally from the ground up. We stayed in the 1 bedroom and it was perfect for our weekend getaway. Very clean. Beautifully landscaped. Hot water was more than ample. There are two other lager houses on the property and we are already talking about renting all 3 for a big group trip in the future. You will not find a cleaner or better kept rental in Playa Grande anywhere close to this price range. The owner - an avid surfer, even let us float around on a couple of his old surfboards and joined in for a few sets at one of the cleanest and most beautiful beaches I've ever sunk my toes into. Mornings included wakeup calls by howler monkeys literally 10 feet from our windowsill. Kikis place just down the path has great breakfast and there is a shop next door that you can fill the fridge with. I could live here. Not used to giving away 5 stars but this place deserves it. We will be back again and again. Thank you, Casa Linda Vista - you were exactly what we wanted and more!"

  • Exceptional Location and Perfect Size for Two Couples

"We stayed at Casa Carole for 6 days during our trip to Costa Rica. Casa Carole is perfectly located between the 'downtown' of Playa Grande and Tamarindo, making it an ideal spot for anyone not looking to drive very much during their stay. We walked to the beach every day and enjoyed making meals and playing games in the simple, but effectively furnished bungalow. Private pool and garden area makes it feel incredibly private, while only a 2-3 minute walk from a small market and a couple restaurants. The house is set up with two bedrooms and a bathroom with king size beds and a small, but very efficient kitchen / living area. We loved our stay and all decided that we'd definitely stay here again if we return to Costa Rica!"

  • Beautiful House!

"Our family of 5 recently stayed at Casa Amarosa over the holiday and enjoyed our stay very much. Overall, it was a great place to unwind after the days activities. The entire community of Palm Beach Estates is a cool little place and has lots of restaurants to choose from for such a small area. There are a few supermarkets (WilMart) which made it easy to stock the fridge. Casa Amarosa is the first house as you enter this community - it backs up to the estuary. To get to the beach, it's about a 10min walk on dirt roads. Doable, but not right out your backdoor. We had family staying on the beach (at Casa Campbell) and we found ourselves driving there most days. A few things we liked most about Casa Amarosa: - The master bedroom/suite was awesome, it's the entire 2nd floor - with A/C! - The porch was the perfect place to drink your morning coffee - The house is decorated nicely - beautiful wood throughout - Manfred, the house manager who lives next door, bakes awesome bread, croissants & other goodies. Delivered fresh & warm - that was such a treat! Further, he was very responsive to any questions/needs we had. - The kids loved the hammock on the porch - The living area was roomy for all of us Overall, I would recommend this property. The owner, Nina, was very responsive to my questions, Manfred next door was great. It's a beautiful house with lots of room to relax!"
