  • Wonderful Place

"This is a very nice location. There are a few restaurants and a grocery within walking distance. The beach is also just a 5 minute walk away. Kristi, the concierge was absolutely wonderful. She arranged a zip line tour for us and was very helpful in giving us info about the surrounding area. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing place, this is a great choice."

  • All you need for a tranquil time in Playa Grande

"We rented this home with another family over the Christmas holiday. It's perfectly situated in the southern part of Playa Grande (Palm Estates). Everything is within a short walk - grocery market, plenty of restaurant options, and of course the fabulous Playa Grande beach - just a 5 minute walk down a quiet dirt rode. The home itself is well maintained with everything you need - but more importantly Nova and Marco from Amigo Realty are there to take care of you in case anything is missing or needed. Their help and support cannot be understated - no matter my request, it was there that same day. And any feedback I gave them was taken care of for future renters. Go, you won't be dissapointed."

"We just returned from a wonderful stay at Casa 80. We are a family of 4 with two young kids (ages 3 and 11 months). The house was clean and tidy and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The kitchen is up-to-date with modern appliances and the living space is open concept. There was AC in all of the rooms and wireless internet throughout. The house was cleaned daily (which at first we didn't think we would need - but turns out it was really helpful!) and the grounds and pool were cleaned regularly as well. David was a very responsive host overall. The house itself has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in the main house and a separate in-law suite with bathroom. We didn't use the in-law suite as it is not connected directly to the main house and our kids are too little to be separated from us overnight (i.e. you have to outside the front door to get to it) but it would be perfect if you are traveling with parents, another couple, or even an older teenager/young adult. The location of the house is stellar - right on the beach! You can hear the ocean from virtually everywhere in the house - and the surf is just steps away. It felt like we had our own private beach! It was so great to put on our suits and head to the beach first thing in the morning and then head back to the yard to cool down when things got too hot. Afternoons were spent in the pool once it got nice and shady. And evenings were spent on the beach again to watch the sun go down. There is so much wildlife to be seen in the yard - iguanas, monkeys, geckos, magpies - our 3 year old loved it. There were also several restaurants to venture out to when we needed a change of scenery and a little store to buy supplies all within a short walk. I'm sure we will look back with fond memories on our time at Casa 80!"

  • Perfect choice!

"We recently returned from our stay at Casa de Amigos.I can't express how much we enjoyed our vacation! The house was perfect. It was spacious and clean. It was also very well appointed. Our group included six adults and four children ranging from 9 to 17. Everyone enjoyed our stay. We met Jorge at the house at 4 PM. We chose to have the house stocked with a few basics in case our flights were delayed and we didn't have time to get to the market. Shawna shopped for everything on our grocery list and it was exactly as requested. Jorge gave us the grand tour and answered every question that we had. We were pleased to find the house was immaculate and even more beautiful in person than in the pictures. Shawna also stopped by to greet us and answer any questions we had. We had the added pleasure of meeting one of the owners, Mark during our stay. The kitchen was well appointed. There was a blender, coffee maker, enough dishes and glasses, a griddle and much much more. I can't think of anything we needed that wasn't provided. we were also very happy to see that beach towels and chairs were provided. Lolita came in twice a week to wash bathroom towels and washcloths and beachtowels. She kept the house immaculate and was very pleasant. The pool was wonderful. We spent a lot of time swimming and soaking in Costa Ricah sun. We took a one day tour (Buena Vista) and enjoyed zip lining, horseback riding and Hot Springs. It was a bit of a drive, but well worth it. We also took the ferry to Tamarindo to do some grocery shopping. It was a short walk down the beach and a ferry ride (one dollar a person) across the estuary. We also enjoyed a fantastic lunch at Witch's Rock while we were there. We spent a lot of time just relaxing at the house. There is a little grocery store (Wilmart) in the neighborhood and also several restaurants that are very short walk from the house. We had several meals at Seven and everything was wonderful. The house is very close to the beach. We walked the beach every morning and collected shells and also enjoyed surfing and boogie boarding. The sunsets are amazing (we brought cocktails down with us!) I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here. It was a beautiful area and very safe. we will definitely stay there again! A special shout out to Scott it was so helpful with us planning our vacation. Also to Mark who gave us the rundown on the area and to Jorge and Shawna for being so helpful. andto Lolita for doing such a great job. Pura Vida!"
