  • PERFECT.

"We honestly could not have asked for a better place to stay while we were visiting Costa Rica. The house is BEAUTIFUL and David and Kelly are amazing, helpful, friendly, and super chill - just all around great people. The house is on Playa Grande which is just a 10-15 minute walk down the beach from Tamarindo - so the placement of the house is perfectly between having your own, secluded little beach spot (with amazing surfing) and also being just a boat taxi away from an amazing little surf town. The perfect balance. Definitely a recommended stay. Definitely would stay again in the future. Pura vida, my friends!"

  • Amazing View

"Our family stayed in the house for over a week and spent the vast majority of our time on the amazing second floor deck which gave us an incredible view of the beach and ocean. Alan and Kathy were very hospitable and helpful in their recommendations for places to eat in the area. They had made arrangements with some friends of theirs to come and give our kids surfing lessons and give us information about different tour options in the area. We had a fabulous time playing in the waves and on the beach which was just a step out of our house, and spent a lot time just relaxing and enjoying the ocean breeze. Be sure to ask about the bakery truck that comes twice a week, as well as the fish truck that brought us fresh jumbo shrimp with many other options! There is also a really terrific taco stand just down the beach about a 5 minute walk from the house. We were able to just walk down the road behind our house and see howler monkeys, and had a wonderful excursion out to the Black Sand Beach. We enjoyed some delicious food at Kikes as well as the two Italian restaurants which are just minutes away. Also there are a few grocery stores very near by to pick up anything you need. There is a shower in the back of the house beside the pool to rinse off the sand before jumping into the refreshing pool. It's not a five star establishment, but the quiet beach and friendly atmosphere were fantastic. There is no inside stairs joining the 2 rooms downstairs with the main level; we split our family to use all the rooms in the house, which meant our children were downstairs with no way of reaching us during the night as we locked the gate and the doors (which was the safe and logical thing to do), but we knew this going into our vacation and made it work. Thank you so much Alan and Kathy for your friendly hospitality. We hope to visit your wonderful beach again!"

  • Wonderful Beach house Getaway

"If you are looking for an amazing house literally right on the beach then you've come to the right place. House is very modern, has AC, Wi-Fi, TV, and a car port. A home away from home if you will! My favorite part was waking up every morning and sliding that glass door open to see the ocean right there. Honestly one of the best places to watch an epic sunset. 10/10 would definitely go again! Thanks Villa Siempre!"

  • Secluded, Safe and Tranquil...

"yet close to everything you could want in Costa Rica. My wife and I have been travelling to Costa Rica frequently over the past 15 years, always in Guanacaste from Tamarindo to Playa Del Coco and this was the best location yet. Close to the bustling Tamarindo beach for world-class fishing and the beachy night life, but far enough (just a few minute drive though) to feel away from it all in this Playa Grande villa. Its location is quiet, within a gated, small enclave and its own less populated, even secluded, beaches and business district (meaning a store or two for anything you'd need, good restaurants and beach/surf shops). Perfect for a romantic getaway or a family jaunt; it'll fit the bill for either. Richard is as prompt and easy to deal with as any owner you'll deal with and he/his team are wonderfully helpful with trip planning. You can rent bikes, boards or horses within walking distance and there's never much traffic - another big plus as opposed to Tamarindo, if that matters to you. We also tried the in-villa chef visit with "Ander" (ask your concierge) and it was a fabulous experience with amazing food - lobster bisque and swordfish with a bacon wrap over risotto... it rivals a higher-end, big city fine dining experience, presentation included... but cozier. Great service and when they're done, you wont see a sign they were even there!! They clean everything, put away left overs and you do nothing but enjoy the dinner - I had them deliver a local flower arrangement too - this is one time, you wont know you're in a third world country - excellent experience! The Villa is more than enough for a couple with plenty of space to spare and would be great for a family too giving everyone plenty of room to spread out and relax. The fully stocked kitchen has all the features you'd want and like all of the rooms, plenty of beautiful wood cabinetry to hide away all your stuff. Large bedrooms throughout with a beautiful master and accompanying well-sized master bath. Everything is super clean and the management service is readily available with just a phone call. Ceiling fans and cool air moving well throughout the villa after a hot day on the ocean or beach with air conditioning units in each room (important for us as we keep it pretty cool). Overall, very serene location, beautiful, secure and private villa just a short walk from pristine beach, and laid back atmosphere all over town... Pura Vida awaits you @ Richard's Playa Grande Villa."
