  • We found Paradise!

"Casa De Vre' is the best beach house on this side of Playa Grande! The house is designed with open views of the ocean. You step-out of your bedroom and you're on the beach. It offers the best sunset vistas from anywhere in the grounds and property with its beautiful gardens and landscapes. The luxurious accommodations and exclusivity are better than anything we've had with other high-end hotels. There is more than enough room for a group family vacation. Each bedroom is Air-conditioned which is a nice plus, however, one wouldn't spend much time in them as there are so many things that will occupy your time outdoors, such as surfing, boogey-boarding, nature walks, beach combing, or simply relax in a couple of outdoor hammocks right outside your steps, perfect for an afternoon nap or siesta, or lounge around the pool area which gives you unrestricted views of the ocean and the nightly sunset vistas - the best neon patchwork in the skies! This place makes you feel like you belong wouldn't want to leave.. ◦"

  • Perfect setting - beautiful house

"This is a perfect getaway place. The house is very visually pleasing, while keeping all the surrounding nature speak for itself. The small village has everything you need, but without a hint of bustle - just smiling locals and surfers. Easy walks to the beach allow you to capture all the wildlife scurrying and flying around. Monkeys hung out for a while in trees next to the house our last day. This is a special place."

  • Beautiful House, Perfect for Families and Groups

"We have rented several houses in Playa Grande over the years, and this was by far the most comfortable and well maintained. The house is spacious enough for larger groups -- though there were only six of us, we had two kids under the age of 12 and two grandparents over 70, so having two living areas helped. The pool, cleaned daily, is also a good size. And the house is well stocked with everything you need, from extra towels to extra corkscrews. We look forward to staying here again."

  • Perfect choice!

"We recently returned from our stay at Casa de Amigos.I can't express how much we enjoyed our vacation! The house was perfect. It was spacious and clean. It was also very well appointed. Our group included six adults and four children ranging from 9 to 17. Everyone enjoyed our stay. We met Jorge at the house at 4 PM. We chose to have the house stocked with a few basics in case our flights were delayed and we didn't have time to get to the market. Shawna shopped for everything on our grocery list and it was exactly as requested. Jorge gave us the grand tour and answered every question that we had. We were pleased to find the house was immaculate and even more beautiful in person than in the pictures. Shawna also stopped by to greet us and answer any questions we had. We had the added pleasure of meeting one of the owners, Mark during our stay. The kitchen was well appointed. There was a blender, coffee maker, enough dishes and glasses, a griddle and much much more. I can't think of anything we needed that wasn't provided. we were also very happy to see that beach towels and chairs were provided. Lolita came in twice a week to wash bathroom towels and washcloths and beachtowels. She kept the house immaculate and was very pleasant. The pool was wonderful. We spent a lot of time swimming and soaking in Costa Ricah sun. We took a one day tour (Buena Vista) and enjoyed zip lining, horseback riding and Hot Springs. It was a bit of a drive, but well worth it. We also took the ferry to Tamarindo to do some grocery shopping. It was a short walk down the beach and a ferry ride (one dollar a person) across the estuary. We also enjoyed a fantastic lunch at Witch's Rock while we were there. We spent a lot of time just relaxing at the house. There is a little grocery store (Wilmart) in the neighborhood and also several restaurants that are very short walk from the house. We had several meals at Seven and everything was wonderful. The house is very close to the beach. We walked the beach every morning and collected shells and also enjoyed surfing and boogie boarding. The sunsets are amazing (we brought cocktails down with us!) I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here. It was a beautiful area and very safe. we will definitely stay there again! A special shout out to Scott it was so helpful with us planning our vacation. Also to Mark who gave us the rundown on the area and to Jorge and Shawna for being so helpful. andto Lolita for doing such a great job. Pura Vida!"
