  • Great rental unit, beautiful ocean view, close to everything well worth it!!

"Well, I have to say that this was one of the best vacations I have ever been on thanks to Paul and Lynette. They were great to deal with when looking into renting the unit. They had lots of information about the area and made it easy to decide this is the place to rent. Upon checking in the property manager was there to greet me and also offered lots of information as well, better than going to a hotel. The condo is very roomy and well appointed. There was nothing more I would have wanted. Well stocked, comfortable beds, good lines and towels. The place was very clean and had everything to make me feel like I was home. But the best was the great ocean view from the kitchen, the living room and the dining area. But really I enjoyed sitting outside on the covered terrace just gazing at the ocean especially in the morning and happy hour time. The location is great, on a quiet road, and less than 3 minutes to the beach. I loved the idea of the pool at the unit it was perfect for taking a dip after coming back from the beach. You can even see the ocean from the pool. I highly recommend this condo to anyone that is visiting the Playa Hermosa area of Costa Rica weather first timer or repeat visit .To be honest I was a bit skeptical when they told me the unit was only 20 minutes from the airport. Well after I got my rental car, they were right on, I was there in 17 minutes. I loved it that there are good restaurants in Hermosa and a grocery store just down the street and Playa de Coco was less than 10 minutes away. The beach in Hermosa is just beautiful, soft sand, gentle waves great for swimming and chilling out. I went to a lot of "have to do things" like zip lining, sunset cruises, hiking in the mountains, volcano tour and waterfalls and all were so close and easy to get to. I read beforehand to be careful the roads are a mess, well not in this area. I will for sure rent this unit for my next vacation and again highly recommend it to everyone. Thanks to Paul and Lynette."

  • Perfect location/Excellent Condo!!!

"Our family of 5 (3 teen/preteenagers) were thrilled to stay at here! The photos do not do justice - the building/pool/proximity on beach are EXCELLENT! We loved having a full functioning kitchen, 3 full baths, laundry, cable/netflix, AND WIFI - those amenities made our 'down time' comfortable after long days of adventure tours. The pool is lovely with ample shade/sun and chairs for all. Just a few steps away is the ocean for boogie boarding and skimboarding - both apparatuses available at the condo ... along with pool toys, etc. Kids threw frisbee/football/baseball on the beach every day. This condo is set in a quiet beach town - not much of a night life, but an excellent location from the airport, to adventure tours, to other beach/surfing towns. We walked to several restaurants and to the small grocery store in town. (NOTE: we did go to the larger grocery store in Playa Coco for an initial shopping, but found many things we needed in the small grocery store in Playa Hermosa). We did not rent a vehicle, so we were on foot for dinner and grocery goods. Here is a quick review on the restaurants we visited that are either on the beach or within walking distance in town: AquaSport: Food NOT good, great sunsets, good live music (Sat night), nice bonfire, sand volleyball net - we rented stand up paddle boards here Hotel El Velero: EXCELLENT Tuesday Taco night!! (note - ONLY tacos on Tuesday - no other menu items) Roberto's: Good food - WAY overpriced - would not pay again to eat there!!! Ginger: EXCELLENT food - not more than a 12 min walk asian/tapas - kids loved it! Restaurant Villa Acacia: Ordered Pizza to take home - easy walk under 10 min - Good Pizza! La Casita Del Marisco: we did not eat here, but heard from our tour guide that the food was excellent! Pescado Loco Bar: we also did not eat here, but wish we would have Thank you to Carol the owner and Zindis the management group - both were immediate with responses and so helpful! I would absolutely recommend staying at this condo!!"

  • Great house, terrific location, amazing views!

"We heard about Casa Lasky back in the States from a friend, and although my wife was truly impressed by the photos and description, I was skeptical that it would measure up. My skepticism quickly dissipated as soon as we arrived at the house on Friday afternoon at 3:00. The manager talked us in from the airport and met us at the gatehouse to lead us up to the house; she was extremely helpful in orienting us both as to the house and the area. The house sits up on the hillside in a perfect location, i.e., just high enough so you don't have to drive up the steep part but you still have amazing views of the ocean and the various peninsulas. I was surprised to find out that every single bedroom (yes, when my wife booked it, I had no idea there were four of them, each with its own bathroom, including one with a tub for our 6 and 8 year old) had big glass sliding doors that allowed you to fall asleep and wake up staring out over the ocean. The private infinite pool is perfect for the hot and dry climate, and I was amazed that it even had sun on it at 7:00 in the morning (so sun in the pool from 7:00 until 6:30 p.m. in early April). The property was clean and well-equipped. It is a short walk down to the town and the beach, and is conveniently located to the local supermarket (really good baked-goods, though not as good as the Tico Bakery in Playa Coco, 15 minutes away). We spent the a day at the Playa Hermosa beach, and had a blast; a day doing a buggy and ATV ride to various towns, the jungle, and beaches, getting a variety of cultural flavors of Costa Rica; a day snorkeling and fishing; and a day driving up to Rincon to see the volcano, hang out in the hotsprings, and go ziplining, horseback-riding, and canyoneering. Rest of the days are spent sitting in the pool staring out over the Pacific Ocean and understanding why everyone keeps saying "Pura Vida" to me. Highly recommend a trip to Costa Rica, and if you are going to do it right, you should start by flying into Liberia and enjoying the 20 minute drive/ride to Casa Lasky in Hermosa Heights."
