  • Beautiful View

"We loved the villa and was perfect for our family of 6. We loved having our own private balcony and little pool. It was so relaxing and peaceful sitting in the swings every morning and evening. This was our first trip to Costa Rica so we really didn't even know the best town to stay in. If you know you want to be in Hermosa you can't beat this unit. The owner Michael was very easy to connect with and the unit was nice and clean. My only issues were the beds were not very comfortable, we all had aching backs each day and the resort itself is not really nice. We did lot of adventuring so it didn't really matter about the resort."

  • Wonderful, peaceful place to stay

"We stayed at Ocean Breeze for a week during the rainy season, but during the last part of July when the "little summer" happens. The condo was well-maintained, very clean, and a fantastic place for our family to stay while we explored the Guanacaste region. My kids loved Playa Hermosa, which is just a 5 minute walk down the road from the condo. It's also possible to visit other Guanacaste beaches without spending the entire day driving. Playa Panama and Playa del Coco are within 15 minutes, and you can also head over to the Tamarindo area about 90 minutes away for some amazing beaches. (I highly recommend Playa Conchal.) The proximity to the airport and Liberia was also something we greatly appreciated. We happened to be in Costa Rica for Guanacaste Day (July 25), when the region celebrates its annexation to Costa Rica from Nicarauga. We were able to make a 30 minute drive to Liberia and enjoy the wonderful parade, music, and festivities that are part of Tico pride. The Rincon de la Vieja national park is also within easy driving distance and has an outstanding easy hike that my 7 year old daughter and 10 year old son loved. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a quiet and secure base from which to explore Guanacaste."

  • Location, Location, Location!!!

"A group of 10 of us, ranging in age from 10 years old to 74 years old stayed here for an amazing week. This house may have the best location in Playa Hermosa, as it is right on the beach, and less than a 2 minute walk to multiple restaurants. Literally, you walk out of the gate, step 30 feet down the path through the grass, and you are right on the beach. It doesn't get any better than that. The house itself is huge, with plenty of space for multiple families. Upstairs is the master suite and one gigantic bathroom, along with a small bunkroom as well. There is a sitting area, and a covered patio upstairs, and then there are three bedrooms with attached bathrooms downstairs. The multiple living areas are large, and well laid out, and the pool was great. Coconut and mango trees throughout the property, as well as a family of howler monkeys that like to hang out in the trees. The kitchen has two refrigerators, and there are more towels and linens than anyone could use in a week. This is a walled compound, and is very safe, and the caretaker lives right on the grounds with his family, Andre and his family were great, very unobtrusive, but helped us with anything we needed. Individual AC units downstairs and a very strong AC unit upstairs. The compound is located right next door to Roberto's. The beach is very nice, and the water by and large is very calm. Just down the beach was some amazing snorkeling, and you can take snorkeling trips right off of the beach, where we saw an amazing array of fish. In fact, the snorkeling was much better than we anticipated that it would be. Playa Hermosa is not a huge party area, which was fine for us. Playa Del Coco was about 10 minutes away by car, with a number of large grocery stores, nightclubs and restaurants. We found, however, that pretty much anything we wanted to eat we could walk to from Villa Daquiri. We were down during a school break, and even so, it was not very crowded at all. An added bonus was the fact that it was about 25 minutes from the airport to the beach. As far as activities were concerned, we did multiple snorkeling trips and a fishing trip, leaving right from the beach in front of the house, as well as a zip lining excursion that was less than 30 minutes away. This villa is comfortable, convenient, close to restaurants and right on the beach. A great place from which to explore everything that Costa Rica has to offer. Overall, it is very highly recommended by our group."

  • Perfect Spot

"We decided to try someplace new for our 10th Anniversary. Costa Rica was the end choice and what a great decision it was! Sol Y Mar 1A was super and just what we needed. The condo is one of a very few right on the beach in Playa Hermosa. We were there in "rainy" season and I guess their out of season time....thank heavens! It was beautiful each morning, then like clockwork the clouds built up and there was a beautiful afternoon shower which cleared off before sunset on a couple nights. There were very few people around, we had the beach to ourselves every day. The condo is a quick ride from the airport, close to a small grocery store and 20 minutes to a bigger store in Coco. It has everything you need to get started on cooking in if that is your choice. We traveled with our two kids and two grandparents and we always rent houses or condos on vacation. Normally, we will cook in to save some money, but to also have all the choices of the local gardens and in this case the ocean. All the beds were comfortable, the furnishings were all top of the line. Zindis or NoProblemo do the management of the property and they were awesome as well. We had a couple questions on how the A/C worked and where to do this and that. Had great suggestions and were super helpful. They helped with the car booking and even a snorkeling/fishing trip. We would highly recommend relying on them rather than guessing the way around. Playa Hermosa in the off season is super quiet. There isn't much nightlife and we dined alone the two nights we went out to eat. Both choices right there in town were exceptional. We will definitely put this place in the vacation rotation, if not every year...every other. Can't wait for next "rainy" season to go back."
