"This is the perfect vacation home! This house is large with plenty of room to spread out (or hide from the kids when you need a breather). The pool is fantastic and very well kept. We spent many hours cooling off in the heat of the day. The ocean view from the pool deck is absolutely gorgeous and only topped by the view from the 2 second story patios, one off the master suite and the other at the top of the magnificent stairway. This house is built for entertaining, with large sets of French doors opening to the pool and patio with 2 grills for that necessary grilled meal. The bedrooms are very spacious with sheets so soft you will be tempted to wear them. The management company is like having your own concierge service and some of the most kind people I have ever met. We look forward to staying here again soon, maybe for an extended period. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY TO ANYONE WHO ENJOYS LUXURY LIVING."

  • Perfect vacation spot near the beach

"The listing was exactly as described and very close to many restaurants, a grocery store, and the beach. We decided to rent a car based on Dirk's recommendation and went on a few excursions that were about an hour away. Rincon de la Vieja is a must for hiking since it is close (and you can do some zip lining for $50 at Hacienda Guachipelin before you get to the park). We also went on a river tour in a pontoon boat at Hacienda El Viejo Wetlands. Many crocodiles and even a family of white face monkeys were spotted. The house was very comfortable the pool was a great way to cool off in the afternoon. It took a few days for us to see the iguanas near the house but they were more active the last few days we were there. We also spotted a small group of howler monkeys in the trees just behind the house. Each night we could hear them howling even before finally seeing them. I would definitely stay here again if in the area. Also, check out Coco Viquez restaurant on the way down to the beach. Great local food at an excellent price. The owner is very nice too!"

  • A very nice place!

"We really enjoyed this property. It was our first VRBO experience. It's an easy walk to the beach and a very easy walk to the pool. The property is kept up very well. The air conditioning is a life saver because it gets very hot outside from 10 am to 3 pm. However, 2 suggestions for the owner: 1. Label all the light switches (as there are a lot of them) so it's easier to turn on/off everything. 2. Unless we missed something, the only way to lock and unlock the door from the inside was to use the key. This could be dangerous if someone (ie a child) were to unknowingly remove the key and you needed to exit the property quickly in case of an emergency. If we come back to Costa Rica, we would have no problem staying here again."

"Close enough to everything while still secluded and relaxing."
