  • Loved our Home Away from Home!

"From the moment we set foot in the house, it felt like home. We were 4 couples staying at Casa Dewey Pacifica for 2 weeks and we fell in love right away. The house was perfect! Very clean, beautifully decorated, huge kitchen, big balconies, great pool and outdoor area, with spacious rooms and bathrooms. Also very well situated with gorgeous views of the ocean, steps away from the beach and walking distance to a couple restaurants. Anything we needed, Jarrod and Meaghan, the property managers were available for us. They also put us in contact with Michelle Ledbetter for meals and TPV Costa Rica for personalized tours which we strongly recommend –especially if you don't want to rent a car. We are anxious to return to Costa Rica and to Casa Dewey Pacifica."

  • Paradise

"Our perfect vacation in paradise started before our arrival by receiving all the necessary information including accurate directions, available activities, favorite tourist spots, and dining options. Mary is your own personal concierge--she arranged for the refrigerator to be stocked and a catered meal to be waiting on our arrival, which was especially appreciated after a long day of travel. She also helped arrange zip lining, horseback riding on the beach, and yoga at the house. In addition to that, the house itself was amazing. From the sound of breaking waves to the pool hammock for afternoon naps, we enjoyed hanging out at the house as much as our excursions. It's also reassuring to be in a gated community. The main reason we chose Casa Ola Perfecta was for the surf, and it doesn't disappoint. Whether you literally go out right in front of the house, walk five minutes south, or drive five minutes to Playa Avellenas the surfing is good just about any time of day. Our family (boys 14 and 12 and daughter 5 years old) had an amazing time, and part of the experience was the house, Mary, and Chuck. We highly recommend this place if you want a great beach/surf/relaxing vacation. It was truly Pura Vida."

  • Off Season Week

"Though everyone said that we were going off season, it was completely perfect in every way. The house is gorgeous, private pool is wonderful, the oceanfront property is awesome!!! I love having the loaded kitchen so we could have breakfast, lunch, dinner on the wrap around balcony overlooking the ocean and sunsets. The only negative thing I could say is I wish I could have stayed longer. Tip: Get massages at home!!!"

  • Beautiful house and location! Pure Vida!

"We just returned from a weeklong stay at Villa Caramar. We shared the house with 3 families and had 6 adults and 5 kids total. We had more than enough space for everyone without ever feeling like we were on top of each other. The pool was wonderful for the kids to pop in at any time of day. Plenty of strolls along the beach and up to Hotel Playa Negra for drinks. The surf can be tough (we had a good scare with the older boys, who are very strong swimmers) but if you watch the tides, there is definitely surfing within walking distance. We loved watching lightening through the floor to ceiling windows at night, watching the hermit crab migration to the beach each evening, looking for monkeys and iguanas and just relaxing. Gina was wonderful and helped us with any questions we had! Maria was great as well and it's so nice having housekeeping while on vacation in such a beautiful place. We rented a car and I'm very glad we did. We made a few trips to Lola's in Avellanas and enjoyed AMAZING breakfast burritos at Surf Cafe in Junquillal. We navigated the dirt road networks just fine. The house itself was well appointed, clean, the air conditioning worked great, and we weren't missing anything we needed. This was our first trip to Costa Rica and we definitely experienced pura vida. Playa Negra is a wonderful community and we enjoyed lots of take out pizza from La Vida Buena and an amazing dinner at Cafe Playa Negra. We had a reservation at Villa Deveena our last night but were enjoying the pool at sunset so we canceled (something to save for next time!). Thanks for such a seamless trip Jon! We look forward to visiting again!"
