  • Excellent House

"We had the best time staying at the house, they had everything we needed. They were easy to get in touch with for any questions we had. Their list of recommendations on this page was perfect! We went fishing, played golf and were able to go surfing! We walked to the local restaurant next door and to the super market several times. It had everything we needed! The house was plenty big and we felt very safe the whole time! The pool was right next door and perfect for an afternoon swim! We had so much fun and will definitely be back!"

  • Magical Stay in a Perfect Place!

"Had a wonderful family vacation to Casa La Choza in Playa Negra during the week before Christmas. Adrian, the concierge, was very attentive, both before our trip and during our stay. He worked hard to assist me in planning our itinerary, including pickup at the airport, delivery of an assortment of surfboards for the family to use while we were there, and discussions on our options for dining while at La Choza. During our stay, Adrian was a great resource for booking some wonderful meals by a personal chef, arranging exciting excursions fishing, ziplining, and ATV riding in Guanacaste, and personally showing us some of the best surfing locations (ones only the locals know) that the area had to offer. The house was very accomodating for our large family (7 persons for this trip) and we loved the wraparound porch, saltwater pool, and outdoor shower! A maid come everyday to clean and straighten the house and a gardener come regularly to attend to the beautiful property. The beach was a very short walk from the house where the family had an amazing time surfing. All in all, we couldn't ask for more! Pura Vida!"

  • An Amazing Piece of Paradise

"We arrived from a cold, February winter in Upstate New York to find one of the best places to unwind and relax in the world. We have traveled to many places and Casa Ganesha was just what we needed to forget all about the 14 inches of snow we had just left behind. This trip was planned as a family getaway to celebrate our parents' 80th birthdays. There were 6 adults and one child (12) in our group and the accommodations of the home suited us perfectly. Everyone could relax in their own space and the outdoor spaces (pool, deck, patios) were great places to gather together and enjoy each other's company. Admittedly, traversing the countryside of Costa Rica is not one of the easiest things to do. Once you adjust you mindset (slow it down) and forget about the fast pace we are so accustomed to, you have fully arrived. Once we got ourselves unpacked, which was quite easy, as there is nothing formal about the dress code in Costa Rica, we quickly made our way down the short path to the beach. The waves can be heard from the home. As an aside, if you are first to arrive, take the upstairs bedroom. There is no a/c in this room, but you won't need it. The slight warmth you feel as you go to bed will soon disappear. The ceiling fan is more than adequate and you will soon be cooled by the breezes coming in through the screens at the top of the walls. You will be lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. The beach is absolutely awesome. The water is the perfect temperature and the wave action is enough to enjoy without beating you up. The swimming best just past the hotel as the "sandy" beach. The area right in front of the hotel is best for surfing, but the rocky (lava) bottom is hard on the feet. The private pool at the house is perfect for a quiet place to cool off, but the hotel pool is also available. On one of the nights, we hired the chefs to prepare a meal for my parents' birthdays. It was exquisite! I highly recommend doing that at least one night. Most nights we prepared meals in the kitchen. We also ate the hotel. There aren't a lot of nearby restaurants, so cooking at home is easiest. Tamarindo, which offers more restaurants, is a short drive away. Overall, the experience of renting, traveling to, and staying in this home was phenomenal. The owners are very responsive to questions. The property manager, Judy, was delightful and very helpful with anything we needed. Have an amazing and relaxing vacation to Playa Negra!"

  • Our stay was outstanding. The infinity pool, views, home and the staff were awesome.

"Only thing I would recommend is that the owner take care of some maintenance items that we suggested to staff. The cook(s)and house manager were lovely and we never wanted to go out to eat because the food was authentic Costa Rican and 4+ star. Poolside Sunsets are a must☀️🌈"
