  • Perfect place!

"We had a family reunion here and it was perfect! They layout was great it was VERY well supplied including boogie boards and sand toys for the children, an air mattress and a pack and play. We had all ages- 2 kids under 2, two 8 year olds, and 2 teens. There was plea to if room for all to sleep, eating space between the table and the bar, and the outside terrace area was perfect for those of us who wake up early and don't want to disturb the others. There was a little snag at check in - our reservations were lost but they handled it beautifully and immediately dispatched 3 cleaners to get it ready while we hung out in the pool. It didn't even put a bump in our vacation and they were so nice and apologetic. I would highly recommend this place to anyone but it was especially fantastic for us with all of the different kids ages. Having the beach right in front well as the pool made it easy for everyone to get what they wanted. The giant bathtub in the master made it easy for me to take care of baby bath time. There are also several great restaurants within walking distance. We will definitely be back!"

  • Perfection!!

"I can't express enough how amazing Mike and Irma (owners of Twin Dolphins B&B) were during our one week stay. Me, my husband and a couple friend of ours stayed in their penthouse room which was very adequate space for us. We had our own patio with a beautiful view of the beach right at our front door basically. The location was very quiet and not too many people around. Every morning they prepared a delicious breakfast for us that started with coffee and assortment of fruits and then whatever he decided to cook for us - EVERYTHING was delicious! Mike is a man who wears many hats! His stories are incredible and he has so much knowledge of the country. You can tell he absolutely loves Costa Rica. His wife Irma is precious as well! Mike helped us book our tours that we wanted and was just a great resource throughout the trip. If you want an adventurous and memorable experience, do the Adventure Day at Hacienda Guachipelin! BEST EXPERIENCE!! That included zip-lining, horseback riding, white water rafting and a volcanic mud bath with hot springs. It was all of our first time doing anything like that. We stayed pretty local so we didn't rent a car. We mostly walked or got a taxi a few times to visit the neighboring beaches (Flamingo and Conchal). We truly left a piece of us there and we told them we would back definitely! They left the best impression and I would recommend them to anyone who visits. BEST VACATION EVER! Thank you Mike and Irma for everything! Pura Vida!"

  • everything we hoped for!!

"This home allowed to truly experience Guanacaste with our family of 5 kids. I expected us to be one block from the beach, but we were one home from the beach! The space of 3 bedrooms downstairs with the master suite upstairs gave us all space and relaxation. The kitchen allowed for easy breakfasts and the ability to sleep late on vacation. The wi-fi kept the kids connected to social media. The security system was very easy to use and we always felt safe. By locking the doors, using the slider bars, and alarming the system, there was no way anyone could take our stuff. In addition, we used the safe in the upstairs master bedroom to store laptops, ipads, and passports at all times. Simple and easy to use! It is no different than in my own home. We explored the beach by the house (Potrero), the beach to the north (Penca), then Conchal and Tamarindo to the south. The snorkeling at Penca and Conchal were far better than I expected based on online reviews. We saw eels, puffer fish, tuna, trumpetfish, starfish, eagle ray, and a moorish idol (Gil from Finding Nemo). We went on a sailboat (Serendipity) for a day which I recommend. We enjoyed the local restaurants. Hibiscus and Las Brisas were our favorites. Hibiscus is a block away and Las Brisas is at the north end of Playa Portrero. We had seafood everynight and all was delicious and well presented. Benito cleaned the pool each morning and Sylvia came twice during our week. The pool was fun for extra kids playtime. Renting a home is the way to go in this friendly, unspoiled region. Everything is safe and friendly so we enjoyed exploring. Pura Vida!!"

  • Memories made! Hope to return soon.

"Great fortune became ours as we were referred to and stayed in this beautiful home. Our group of 10 consisted of 2 families (children’s ages 4-16). The home is modern with fun Costa Rican style/details. It is oceanfront, clean, air conditioned, and comfortable with beautiful views of the ocean and tropical gardens surrounding it! All ages enjoyed the beach and grounds. It was a delight to watch our 4 year olds play tirelessly in the terraced patio area and beachfront yard (oh, and they also danced and sang with vigor in the outdoor shower), while the teens enjoyed boogie boarding and learning to surf. The adults adventured via sea kayak (kayak provided) and explored the coast. We were showered with hospitality and incredible service prior to and throughout our stay. The owners promptly and continually answered questions in advance as we prepared to travel. Martin (caretaker) greeted us upon arrival and was available daily as he tidied up the grounds. Carmen (housekeeper) was a delight as she cheerfully and carefully cleaned the home. Babe, the property manager, was an incredible and invaluable resource! She kept regular contact with us (prior to and during our stay) and even made a visit to the home to meet us. She is knowledgeable and connected with the community and local tourism. She coordinated an in-home hair braid/wrap for our teen daughter, an in-home massage, and arranged our Sunset Cruise on the Lazy Lizard, and answered innumerable questions promptly. I cannot say enough about the owners, property manager and staff. They made it a great and memorable first visit to Costa Rica! We’d definitely recommend this property to have the comforts of home while experiencing the local culture that surrounds."
