  • Beatiful private villa

"We stayed at BPV in April 2016. I shared the apartment with my wife and 4 sons. There was plenty of room. I really believe that this is probably the perfect place to stay in Costa Rica. It's only a half hour to the airport. You can leave the US in the morning and be on the beach in the afternoon. Another restaurant and scuba diving is only 5 minutes away and Coco is only a few minutes beyond that. Coco is a fun place to walk around when tired of the beach. The villa faces a private beach without other tourists or a marina. Picante restaurant is as good as any in Costa Rica and you can almost roll out of bed into the restaurant. Al is a wonderful host who arranges all the details and can arrange many exciting excursions as well. We had a wonderful time and would go back in a heartbeat."

  • I will always recommend this home

"I can't tell you enough how much we appreciate the opportunity to stay in this home. Everyone had a wonderful time. The layout, amenities, view and staff were the best. Your cleaning staff came twice at our request and did a beautiful job of especially cleaning the outside that would be a mess after the daily storm. Edgar was very attentive and took care of everything we needed. Our favorite is your new chef Sandra and her boyfriend Alex!! Sandra met my husband and I Friday before at the Hilton and we together designed a menu that was in our budget and suitable for our group, both with small kids, a vegetarian and the rest meat eating adults of all ages. Her cooking is first class with appetizers and dessert, and a drink of a different type each time, like a special juice or virgin mojito. She and Alex became our friends, and on the last day we were there, Sandra drove with us to zip line Congo Trail (first time for her zip lining) and then took us to a beach that we would never have found otherwise, Playa Danta. All this while cooking breakfast and dinner for 11 people the same day. I will always recommend your home as long as you own it!!"

  • Beautiful Villa, location and hosts!

"Villas Congas is such a beautiful place to stay, with some of the best views in Cost Rica! and two very exceptional hosts! Diane and Sherman! They made us feel so welcome and like long time friends! Our stay was short and after Diane and Sherman showed us the best local places to eat and visit we definitely need to return for a longer stay next time! Thank you again for welcoming us to your Villa, we can't wait to come back! C&G"

  • Family with young kids

"Two families met at this house with 2 toddlers and a baby. House is just as pictured. Very clean. Has all the appliances/amenities one would need. However it does NOT come with AC throughout (only in the bedrooms) which is fine but just different from what the website says. Also does have a washing machine but NOT a dryer (although there are clothes lines outside). Pool is lovely, kept clean daily by groundskeeper who lives right next door. This guy is also available for any other concerns or questions, although we had none. Property manager, Randy, was friendly and met us at the house upon arrival. Seems like a good guy. We were concerned about having to pay with cash only (does not take credit cards except for deposit) but it was all legit. Property is located directly on the beach and along a strip of homes. Next door neighbors are visible from yard but with landscape still have a fair amount of privacy. It was perfect for us: we like our privacy but also good to not be too secluded when in a foreign country. We felt very safe in this area. Locks on house are appropriate. Beach is clean and no rocks, but unfortunately is a little steep and also small during high tide, so not a great beach for kids to play on. Beach not too crowded. Good for sitting to watch the sunset, taking walks and playing in the water. Water was clean (no seaweed) and fairly warm, but was not the crystal blue waters like we've seen on other beaches (not sure if that's due to location or timing). Grassy part of yard in January was completely burnt yellow and dry, unlike the nice green lush grass seen in the pics, so again not great for kids to play on. No crib available but we made do making bumpers around a bed for the baby. Huge roosters were in our yard each morning and a family of monkeys came to visit us one afternoon-- fun for the kids!"
